I have been coming ever since I could remember. The servers even know my mom by name. Super friendly and homey. The taste of the food is so delicious and authentic. The worst service in the entire world! I've never been to a place where it's as bad as this place. Let me applaud the cook though, the food is good. But not the service I came today, Sunday afternoon for a bomb torta and menudo. We sit down, they take like 10 minutes to take our order, 40 minutes later, the torta is here, cold. Did they forget about us or what the fruit? I call the waitress to cancel the order for the menudo because I've been waiting for 40 minutes and she rolls her eyes. 2 minutes later menudo is here, cold. So what the fruit were they doing. Mmmmm.... I used to work at Victoria Ave Elementary as a teacher's aide and it was tradition to go out to lunch on Fridays. So my co-workers were like"Are you going?" and I replied "Ok, but where? So we went back occasionally and that is when I found my new love: tortas!! Mmmmm, yummy, much love for my tummy. I got a basic ham torta and it was huge. As it should, because I was out five bucks just on the sandwich. Filled with jamon, queso, frijoles, chile, lechuga, tomate, aquacate, and I don't know what else. The women who takes your order is very nice, however, if you do not know how to speak Spanish, just do what my white boyfriend did: point at the menu item on the wall and nod. The decor inside is nice, but sometimes it felt dingy. Also, certain items and combos can be a bit overpriced, but it's family-owned business. Love their pambazos. Not a fan of the quesadillas but I'm often not impressed by them anywhere anyhow. I love their liquados! I would come here just for the liquados. I don't dine in, I order pick up, and most times I've received my food promptly and without issues. I love this place! My choice is always the nachos de carne asada but almost everything is good here. We have tried the gorditas and they are a bit hard since I believe they are deep fried a little too long. My husband loves the tacos de chicharron. Yummy panbazos!! They were different than the ones I am used to buy damn, the differences were yummy. The drawback is that they were messy so we had to use the utensils to eat it. Most other places I ate this at didn't cut the bread roll all the way across so you vapid grab it from there but overal the flavor was savory. I am going to order breakfast next time. read more

When I got home I was missing a quesadilla order, I gave them a call for which they apologized but refused to refund me. I was told I could come in to put up my quesadilla the following Sunday and received 2 sodas for the incovinience but when I asked for the workers name to have a reference she refused to provide it. The food is delicious! Too bad the service sucks! The waitresses don't take the time to seat you! They take 30-45 minutes to come and ask if you'd like some drinks. You have to hound them to get your bill. If you flag them down they look at you like you are bothering them. And when you go to pay, they charge you extra for using your debit card! So.. We have been coming here for the past two years, always liked their food, always had good service, however, these past two times it has been bad. When you sit yourself because that's how it works, you expect someone to at least acknowledge that you are there. It didn't happen, first time I understand that they were busy, but not even a hello or at least some water, anything! Chips and salsa? Maybe that would be a good idea. I'm not blaming the waitresses, owner should pay more attention in this situations. They are overwhelmed with to go orders and clientele. Tried to give them another chance and it happened again. Sat there for 20 mins, they sure took care of another guest first. Ok.. finally stood up and told the waitress that this would be the second time we leave.
