I've been coming here for years and it used to be great but I feel like the food and service has gotten worse

I just LOVE this place, its the most authentic food I have ever had besides homade. If you are looking for Mexico City Style and taste, this is the place to go to. Very clean and fast service. Aguas frescas all come in one size and are $2.00 that's the only thing I did not like. The food is authentic Mexican and lots of variety. They do take debit but charge .65 Im gonna recommend it on the fact is delicious. Literally a hole in the wall. read more

Food is pretty good. I like the chicharrón guaraches. I'd give them more stars if the staff took your order faster. Even on slow days they almost ignore you plus they hardly check up on you. The cooks are not the problem. They know their cuisine and the food is tasty and ready fast. Management: please train your waitresses. If the food wasn't this good I'd go elsewhere. My friend showed me this hole in wall a few years ago. Now I go regularly because the food is delish. Tacos are best. i recommend al pastor or carne asada. It's real authentic Mexican food, not the stuff thats been processed or anything. The waiting staff is always friendly and its very reasonably priced. That's probably why i gave it 5 stars instead of just 4. But yeah the food is good to. It's a staple here. They def use lard to make their taquitos which is why they are so delish haha. The hubby and I eat here atleast once a week. This place is so... good... If you are a nachos person, Nachos are the best! Always order Nachos, we add carne asada, plenty for two people. The huaraches, super great. The pambanzo, great. The tortas, super great. The chilaquiles, super great. The salsa (*****) Chips, no chips rated based on the nachos (*****) I've had everything on the menu and everything was good. Gonna go there now. This place has really yummy chicken flautas! I love the watery guacamole sauce and the crema fresca. They cook my style...or at least the way i like to eat. I've tried their Torta's although big they are very different tasting, they use a different type of cheese, more like mexican sliced cheese, and it's not as flavorful as I like my Torta's. I've had the chicken burrito, enchiladas and they have all been really good. This is one of my spots. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend who eats here often. I went today and and had some delicious enchiladas that also came with rice and beans. My friend had some chilaquiles w/huevos revueltos, rice, and bens. It looked good and my friend told me they were. We both paid $8.50 for our huge plates (portions were large) and a drink (we got horchata and agua de jamaica). Excellent, dependable Mexican food straight from DF (distrito federal). Initially, the huaraches won my heart, but I kept coming back, and have since enjoyed the Chilaquiles (super spicy, but not too much) sopes, quesadillas, huevos divorciados, and the tacos of course. As a bonus, they serve fresh squeezed juices to complete the perfect breakfast. For lunch, grab some fresh horchata, and with dinner, crack open one (or more) of their imported Mexican bottled beers. Authentic joints are hard to find. I read the reviews and went in with high expectations. Was I disappointed? Nope! I started with a michelada, which was good! I tried a chicharron taco: delicious! I ordered a pambaso: amazing! Their quesadillas are made with hand made tortillas and their meats were good. I was too full to try any desert. Not too crazy about all the Guadalajara décor but that's the least of my concerns. Our food was great, price was reasonable, and the service was good. read more

Wow....I just walked into an old sports bar / restaurant in Tijuana. Review is solely on the Pambaso and Pozole. My Pambaso lacked more of everything. It needed more cheeeeese, crem, lettuce, sauce, a hint more of spicy chorizo. Pozole needed to be served HOT with more granos and more SASON...!!!! And less fat. Service was mediocre. read more

The waitresses are something else, always with an attitude ignoring you it seems like if they're going to pay for your food. Sometimes they don't even bother taking notes while taking your order that's why they don't bring what you ask for ! Food is always the best!! They're prices are ridiculous! $8.50 for a Huarache de Hongos!! Seriously? They need to come down on those prices, is just Masa with beans one of the cheapes things at the super market. My favorite dishes are the : Chilaquiles, The quesadilla with with pumpkin flower, Mullitas are amazing, choriquezo is the bomb. I have often comtemplated running out of there with the giant bowl of green salsa. Cuco and Armando and the employees are always at your table making sure your order was done right and also suggestiing other meals to try then and there on on the next visit. The sals is a family recipe and they pickle their own carrots and jalapenos. They serve beer and they also have a juice bar. They have a great selections of desserts. recently they expanded their restaurant also so they have different seating areas. Here you'll find a plethora of classic Mexicano cuisine. My first visit I ordered their "huarache." It basically consists of a tortilla-esque conveyance covered with an abundance of carne asada and beans. They definitely don't skimp out on their food either. A real bang for your buck! Place is home and quaint. You might miss it if you are not paying attention. Right at the Virginia St. Light. Tacos are amazing. Their Pastor tacos are amazing, and their Asada are delicious too. The carnitas tacos i had were not that good. Meat was a bit too dry, but i still ate them! I haven't tried the Guac and i see most people say its great, but the tacos are good enough for me. read more

I did read the reviews and I sadly I did not like their food. It was ok but not a spot I would visit again. I think it's over priced for the flavor but they do serve big sizes in plastic plates, forks, & paper cups. I love the tacos and burritos they serve here. I've had the Asada tacos and burrito, the meat is properly seasoned and tender. Their green salsa is delicious and taste authentic (not too watery).
