This burrito changed the trajectory of my life…read more By A Man Who Was Just Trying to Get Lunch.. I walked into Sonora Grill expecting a burrito. That was my first mistake. What I received was a life changing experience wrapped in a tortilla. I took the first bite and just sat there quietly for a second. You ever eat something so good you have to stop chewing and look at it? Like, "Who made you? And why have you been hiding from me my entire life?" The tortilla was perfect. The meat was seasoned like somebody's grandmother was in the kitchen protecting a family recipe. Every bite had the perfect amount of everything. No sad corner filled with nothing but tortilla. No random bite that's 94% rice. Every section was pulling its weight. Halfway through, I realized I hadn't spoken to anyone in several minutes. My phone could've been ringing. The building could've been evacuated. My car could've been getting towed. None of that was my business anymore. I had a burrito to finish... By the last bite, I was already grieving. I wasn't hungry anymore I just wasn't emotionally prepared for our time together to end. I sat there staring at the empty wrapper like a man who had just finished the final episode of his favorite show. If you've never been to Sonora Grill, go. Check it out & if you order the burrito, understand that you're not simply ordering lunch. You're entering into a short term relationship. 10/10. Would absolutely destroy my afternoon plans for this burrito again.

Parking is limited and compact stops. Experience: There are menu posted on the windows outside, maybe this is a relic from covid times. When you enter there is a counter to place your order, they assign a table number if you are dining in. I have come here a few times and gotten to try different menu items. Everything is made to order so there is a bit of a wait depending on the time you go. The jalapeno poppers are a must try item. We really enjoyed the chille rellano burrito and added carne asada to it too. Note: The service here is always positive and i can't wait to go back to try their carne asada fries.

They have regular street tacos, they have their customized tacos, they have their signature tacos, they have burritos of different varieties, they also have different bowls to choose from... I ended up going with the Firebird bowl and I was not disappointed. It is a good size portion for the value, I have enough for leftovers. It also filled me up. This is a much better alternative to fast food, so much healthier and it's still quick to go. It does not take that long. The best part is they have a drive-through if you do wanna get it quickly! I'm lying that's not the best part, the best part is that it taste so good. I've been to healthy places like this before and they don't always taste that great this place actually taste so good. Second best part, the vibe in there, the people that worked there they were so nice. Stephanie was really friendly, I knew what I wanted to eat, but she was still kind of enough to offer suggestions. She suggested the churros come with the crem on the bottom, I definitely recommend giving them a go, those things were good. I decided to save some for my children lol Stephanie was just a pleasure to talk with and she was really nice. They do have restrooms to use while dining there. It's located against the street, you can pull into their little parking lot or you can pull all the way into the plaza, which is a huge parking lot so parking is definitely not an issue here. I'm not from this area, but if anyone else else's, I suggest coming here to eat. If I am in the area again, I will be back.

Only one waitress tending to the place and she wasn't all that nice, to be honest. Seemed annoyed when I'd ask for anything. However, food was surprisingly good. The fish and chips And fish taco used the same flaky, white fish with crispy light batter and not overly breaded. It was fresh and big portion sized. Also got the fish filet dish and it was a huge portion and came with salad and rice. Dish was good but def recommend the fried fish more. Would be back.

The small family-owned restaurant in a lazy strip mall in Moreno Valley provided some of the most amazing Mexican food in Southern California. We visited midday on Sunday and the place was only about a third full, with plenty of indoor seating in booths and tables. You order at the counter and the friendly young woman guides you through the menu prominently featured on the wall. So many different options. For our group, we went with the King Burrito, the Carne Asada Torta and the Beef Taco and Enchilada Plate. Within 10 minutes, the nice young woman who took our order, came by with our drinks and shortly thereafter, our orders. The King Burrito I order was HUGE. Covered with an amazingly delicious salsa verde (mole or dry options also available), this 10-plus inch burrito was packed with Shrimp, Carne Asada, Home Potatoes, Mexican Guacamole, Chipotle Sauce & Cheese. Also came with a side of Sour Cream. Seriously, one of the best tasting burritos I have experienced, there is so much flavor with the surf and turf combination, that will make your tastebuds delight, and feel a little bit of heat in the process. My girlfriend's Carne Asada Torta was also delicious. She let me have a few bites and the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection, just like it was in my King Burrito. The sandwich was also quite large had plenty of stacked ingredients to offer. Overall, the quality and portions of the food here at Los Reyes are amazing. You get tons of value and huge portions to boot. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant (and restrooms) and clean and welcoming. Plenty of parking in front, with lots of space inside. There is also a large TV featuring sports (football on Sundays, soccer other days) for your enjoyment. Come check out this family-owned restaurant in Moreno Valley.

Our group got the chicharron and guacamole, Fajitas, Burrito mojado de carnitas and Torta de asada. Not sure if we were mistaken but we thought "chicharron" meant the actual meaty chicharrón but it's literally like the bagged one you get at any store minus the meaty part (if that makes sense lol) From what I was told the fajitas were good. The torta de asada was not at all tasty. The meat had no flavor and it was very dry. The burrito de carnitas was okay. Way too much rice and the ancho salsa was overly sweet. In our opinion the price did not match the flavor at all. We will give it another shot since it has great ratings but our experience was not the best.

This was supposed to be a special date night for me and my wife, so we were really looking forward to enjoying a nice dinner together. Unfortunately, the service put a damper on what should have been a special evening. It really took away from what could have been a great overall experience. Honestly, I wish I could tip the cooks and chefs directly because the food was that good. ‍ The food is seriously fire, but the waitstaff needs some major improvement. The fries are covered with a light layer of refried beans, a melty/stretchy (oaxaca?) cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. I usually also add some red salsa as well that you can grab from the self serve salsa bar. My wife got her food first, which I didn't mind, and half brutalized it before I could get a decent picture - oops. It was a carne asada quesadilla mini meal which was like $9 and change and came with a side of rice and beans and a drink included (she got a small watermelon agua fresca). And my friend ordered the weekend special, which was the Menudo soup with tripe meat in it (as traditionally served). Lemme start with the salsa bar. It has everything you'd ever want including unlimited chips and beans. The catch is you have to scoop the beans at an awkward angle under the sneeze guard in to your serving bowl - but hey...free is free, and my wife loves free! She also super enjoyed her carne asada quesadilla mini meal and thought it was a great value. Again, my carne asada fries were perfect as always. The cheese on top is so perfect, and one day I'm going to have to ask what kind it is. It's such a large portion and I need to get a box next time instead of housing the whole plate in one sitting. I'm way too full! Lastly, my friend gave me a taste of his menudo and I think it was the best I've ever had. I'm not a menudo aficionado by any means. I've only ever had it at families homes growing up and probably never ordered it in a restaurant. But I assumed the home cooked version was supposed to be the best (sorry grandma!). The broth was much thicker and deeper red and had more flavor than any other version I've had. The tripa was also more tender. Any connoisseurs out there, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and throw out some other spots you feel might be better. But not until you come down and give it a try yourself! There's no way you can convince me it's not great.
