This is my favorite place to get tacos . I am basically here at least once a week. The price here is amazing and they don't skimp out. I am shocked it's never busy here. That's a plus for me because I get a place to eat at and the food comes out fast. This place is really small with a few tables available inside. They don't skimp out on meat. My favorite meat to get is the Al pastor and tripas. When I get carne asada fries it's soggy so I ask them to cook it crispy and it comes out delicious. My boyfriend likes carne asada but when I don't go with him I like to get al pastor in my nacho or fries . The chimichangas are so good they let you order half and half meat but they charge extra for tripas . There tripas meat is so crispy and flavorful. On certain days you can get 4 tacos for ten but it only includes al pastor , carne asada and I think chicken ? I forgot the third one. But the other day they gave my boyfriend and I each an extra taco for free also they added free guac for us that day. My favorite sauce is their orange sauce not sure what it is but it may be too spicy for some but worth that burning booty hole later. I wish this place gave us free chips on the side.

Ordered pick up through the online website. Order said it would be ready by 1:57pm. Came in at 1:58pm. Store was empty and told the lady I was pick up. She looked at me like she had no idea about my order. She apologized and said it will be out very shortly. Ordered 2 al pastor tacos, 1 cabeza taco and 1 lengua taco. She told me that they didn't have lengua so she asked if I wanted to replace with another cabeza. I said that was okay. Gave me to go cups for salsa and limes. Tacos were good. I like the pineapple slice on my pastor tacos. I just expected them to have my order by then cuz I had to wait. And if I was the only order online wouldn't they see it? This place looks new. Only a few tables inside. Hopefully they do better.

This place has such speedy service and an amazing salsa/condiment bar. The food is delishhh i loved their consume. Also, all the salsas were sooo good i tried a few different ones to just try out, all absolutely delicious. The only complaint i have is i thought i was going to get guacamole on my fries!! But other than that, amazing little spot for mexican food.

I randomly craved tacos and decided to try this spot since it's nearby. I was not disappointed! The pineapple to the al pastor adds such a good flavor. I also got the asada and chicken, but I would stick to asada and al pastor next time! I also got carne asada fries and those weren't too bad. They do use cheese similar to nacho cheese. Service is great and the place is clean! I will definitely come back. The price is reasonable for a taco too.

I used to go to the Tacos Chapala in Stockton so when I found out they were opening a location in Sacramento, I had to go check it out. The staff are friendly and the place is brightly decorated. Pros: I typically get their burritos. My favorite is the California burrito. There's a decent salsa bar, they have a good variety of salsa of varying heat levels. Plenty of parking is available and located close to the freeway. I noticed they even offered birria ramen which is on my list to try. Cons: none

Tacos Chapala is a great, new addition to the plaza across CRC. Originally from Stockton, Tacos Chapala has opened their storefront in Sacramento just recently! My partner and I were excited to try and this lived up to our expectations. We were greeted with warm smiles and welcomes immediately as we walked in. Employees were friendly and answered questions about the menu, even providing recommendations! There were a few tables for people to dine-in and a fully stocked and clean sauce bar. Card payments are accepted but bring cash if you want to tip. At the time we went, tip using card wasn't working. Food itself was delicious! We ordered 4 tacos, carne fries and horchata. They definitely do not skimp and everything tasted fresh! We are looking forward to our next visits and trying more.

Love the Vibe, super clean and simple design, great musica and the service was exceptional. We got the ASADA Fries to share, and the carne was so good and not all fatty, made me wish I got there 4 tacos for $10, I did get the QUESOTACOS, which are birria with melted cheese cilantro onions and with consommé to dip them in of course, they were filled with so much juicy meat, I've never had a birria taco this big before again good cut of meat. my husband loves lengua Burrito and he hasn't been this happy about a burrito. Salsa bar was on point! Overall 5 stars! Must try!

They have locations in Stockton and Manteca and now one here in Sacramento/Elk Grove by the Foods Co center. They had a soft opening recently and were offering $1 tacos so we decided to try them. We chose carne asada, lengua, cabeza and al pastor. Let me tell you, they do not skimp on the portions! Meats were all flavorful and they have a salsa/sauce bar too. Sautéed jalapeños and onions included. Got us a side order of rice and chips too. The restaurant is spacious, clean and modern. Service was top notch! Shoutout to Perla, Chuy and Ivonne, they were very nice and awesome. Go check them out!

Tacos Chapala showed up on my instagram recently, so I decided to give them a try. Their ribeye tacos and burrito are exquisite. And well worth the price of admission alone. Ther al pastor was flavorful, smokey and I loved the pineapple slice. I sampled several of their salsas, and enjoyed them. The price is just about right, and I could see myself becoming a regular here. I think they're still working everything out as I only observed two people running the place on a Saturday night. An extra pair of hands or two could help speed up the wait times. Indoor seating was limited but there was plenty of seating outside in the patio and side of the building. The music was good.

Food was delicious and service was excellent. I found my new favorite spot .this is my first time and I only tried the taco's , I had one of each ( tripas, asada , el pastor and the birria ) once I tasted the tripas I knew I'm going to like their food . The burritos are huge , that's how the other places use to serve it back 2 years ago . Now that I know where taco Chapala is that's where I'll be going I'd like to try everything in the menu .

    Monica T.

They ran out of carne asada on a Friday night :( but the al pastor was pretty good. Upcharge for chips but well worth it. Their salsa variety is great. I would come again to try the asada.

I'm always searching for new birria spots, and this place appeared as a "hot and new restaurant." I called in an order for three tacos (carne asada, lengua, and cabeza), two Quesabirria Tacos, and Birria Ramen, and everything was ready within 15 minutes. The restaurant is clean and has a nice salsa bar. The food was all delicious, especially the birria, and they provided excellent customer service. We'll be returning soon!

Tacos Chapala is a new taqueria near CRC and has only been open about a month. I stopped in and tried the carne asada, pollo, birria, and al pastor tacos. The tacos were delicious, flavorful, and packed with meat. They have a salsa bar with many options to choose from. (The green guacamole salsa was the spiciest in my opinion). Service was friendly and attentive. There is plenty of seating inside and outside in their patio. I only wish they had refried beans, chips with their salsa bar, and a fountain drink dispenser. Tacos are worth your money so stop in and give it a try. Note: this place is located right beside the EZ Jewelry store. The Yelp directions seem to take you to the wrong spot in the plaza.

Each taco had a generous amount of meat, was well-prepared, and tasted fresh. The real game changer, though, was adding the jalapeño cream sauce along with a few salsas from the salsa bar which took the tacos to another level. If I could, I'd give this place 6 stars just for that! Also, I'd recommend the cucumber lime agua fresca drink. It tasted refreshing and the perfect amount of each flavor. Their menu has a great variety of options, and I noticed several people ordering the dinner plates, which looked absolutely massive. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something.
