Service was prompt and friendly at the beginning. I specifically enjoyed the opportunity to observe the arrival of elite Mexican society at this restaurant. I liked that the restrooms were very clean. I recommend visiting this restaurant at dinner time to enjoy the theater of being around elite Mexican society. The warm grape leaves and dips were a special treat. I liked the kabobs because the meat was very tender. If these two very minor issues can be promptly addressed, I think this restaurant has the potential to return to its four-star or possibly climb to a five-star rating. I think hygiene of the restaurant can continue to be enhanced with more integrated pest management in the form of glue-based traps as a small black insect crawled across our table--no surprise as I pointed this out to the staff. Also service can be enhanced toward the end, specifically, two of the left-over dishes we requested for take-out were not included when we got home. Since the price was world-class, I did feel obligated to calibrate this restaurant to a three-star rating to take these issues into account as one expects details like these to be handled. Overall, the food is world-class, ambiance can be further enhanced, opening service is world-class, end-service can also be further enhanced.

We were centered in the middle of the restaurant where we could see everything. Ou waitress came over with a basket of sauces and we dug in! I'm a spicy girl so anything verde is home for me. I ordered three steak and cheese tacos (10/10) with a mango margarita (10/10) and three steak and cheese tacos to go with everything. These tacos are soooo freaking good my mouth is watering as I'm typing ! If you can this is the place to be the food is amazing! I think it even beats tacos el gordo in San Diego. This place is so happy you just tell it's a great vibe. They offer 8 out of the 15 salsas they have to offer and they are all delicious. Don't be intimidated by their menu, it's just a convulsed way of showing an a la carte menu we are all familiar with. Just order the meats you want with whatever topping you desire. The queso is amazing, the masa is amazing, the meat is amazing. Just get it all! For everything you see in my pictures, including the Jamaica, I paid 16 dollars including La propina!

Due to the holiday and the latter hour, a lot of restaurants were shutting down. Saw a recommendation on here for this place and made a call. They were closing in less than an hour but told be to bring my party in. We were immediately sat . Our server Boni attended us and made great recommendations. I'll post some pages form the menu because the choices were vast.and adventurous. If you're in town, please check it out. Right by the town square. The staff was wonderful, warm and welcoming. Great attentive service. Didn't have room for dessert and they also had a breakfast menu.

We started with complimentary fresh salsas and a savory cheesy bite. Very nice! One of the salsas had a real spicy kick, which I enjoyed. Also split and shared: - Sopa de Lima, a regional chicken and lime soup. Loved this! It was a light, brothy dish, and felt very nourishing. Delicious. Also tried adding some of the fresh salsas (as suggested). - Enchiladas Mole Negro. I'm glad I tried this one! Made me feel like I've never actually had authentic mole in my life. This was really rich, with complex flavor. Was sweet as well, and savory. - Tacos Cochinita Pibil. Yummy! Loved this with the salsas as well. Which, by the way, were refilled! A friend got the grasshopper appetizer as well which turned out to be a pretty sizeable plate full. So we all got to try that as well! Not bad not bad. Not quite what I was expecting, but I was happy to try it! (I thought they'd be salty and crunchy; actually they were softer and tasted a bit tea like. Leisurely and relaxed dining. Nice drinks too. So many agua Fresca options! I got a guava lime one.

I asked one of the taqueros who works there what the name of the place was, to which he responded, in Spanish of course, "I think it's Los Gueros, or something like that'. These are probably the best tacos along Paseo de Amsterdam/Ave. Chabacano in this area of town, and are best known by its unofficial name 'los tacos del Oxxo de Tejeda', or maybe that's just the name my friends and I give it because of its location (between a Michoacana and an Oxxo), and their carefree attitude towards the administrative side of the business. It seems that they're just there to sell tacos, and they do an excellent job doing just that. Their taco options include suadero, cabeza, longaniza, and bistec, but where they truly excel at is in their tripa and al pastor tacos. The tripa is amazing, crispy and not too fatty, with an awesome nutty flavor that makes your mouth water and keep ordering tacos even after you're full. It's hard to find good pastor in Querétaro, but they do a pretty good job of keeping their trompo on point, and their seasoning balanced. Their other options aren't bad either, but not as good as the tripa and the al pastor. Their salsas could also use more seasoning, as they don't seem to add much to the tacos except spiciness, which a good salsa does, but it also enriches the taco. They also have quesadillas and gringas, which are not far from the ordinary I hear. Awesome place to try; very full at nights, even on weekdays, so plan to come early or get in line inside the taqueria. Just a testament to how good these tacos are!
