I placed an online delivery order from Tacos & Co that included 2 crunchy potato tacos, 1 bean and cheese burrito, 2 servings of flan, a side of sour cream, and a large Diet Coke. The order arrived on time, which I appreciated, but unfortunately several issues made the experience disappointing. The flan containers had tipped in the bag, and the caramel sauce leaked onto the napkins and other food bags. Both crunchy potato tacos were overcooked and visibly burnt, my side of sour cream was missing, and there was no straw included for the drink. I haven't tried the bean and cheese burrito yet, so I can't comment on that item. I usually enjoy Tacos & Co and have had positive experiences in the past, which is why I chose to order again--especially with the $8 off $25 coupon. I've seen this place a few times and have always wondered what it tasted like. I assumed that since it has been in ladera for awhile it must be good. It was not. I got the quesadilla With chicken and my partner got the California carne Asada tacos. The meat on both of ours was not season and gross. My chicken was dry with a weird yellow color. My partners carne asada was dry unseasoned and most of his taco was lettuce with very little meat and the steak was grey. The guac was very runny. The salsa and pico are not seasoned. The Tacos & Co. van shouldn't always be parked right in front of their restaurant. With several disabled parking spaces next to it, spaces are limited in front of those retail spaces and it's not a good look. The van should be parked in spaces to the back when it's just sitting there all day. Customers should have the priority for those spaces. read more

I will not be back. The lady was on the phone with another customer that was complaining while taking my order. I was charged incorrectly due to her not hearing my order properly due to being on the phone. I had to wait a few minutes for her to acknowledge me to see that the order was wrong. She told the cook and got my order going. I was refunded and charged again but was charged the wrong item. I ordered three tacos, but all end up being carnitas when I wanted carne, chicken and carnitas. I asked for a bean and cheese burrito with carne and was charged a Gordo burrito but the food was correct. I was initially charged chips and guac but ended up getting charged correctly for that. The food here is always consistently yummy. Very authentic flavors. The homemade salsas are fire. The verde sauce is spicy and takes things to the next level. This was literally just bagged iceberg lettuce (you know, the $2 bag from the grocery store with an absolute minimal amount of red cabbage and carrots, that's the one), a couple slices of lemon (??), a few slices of avocado, a couple slices of flavorless tomato, a tablespoon of unknown cheese, bell peppers are listed as an ingredient but were missing from my salad (seriously?), and yesterday's unused grilled chicken (which was tough, dry, and worthless). Came here after a basketball tournament at the Ladera Sports Center. It was on the opposite side of the shopping center furthest away from the sports facility, so it was pretty mellow. I had the carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas street tacos. All were excellent. Perfect amount of meat with a sprinkle of cilantro and onions under two warm small corn tortillas. I know this Mexican place is not in your typical urban area, but the flavors are right up there in comparison to taco joints located in high populated communities. Customer service was legit too. I had already paid for a fish taco, but the worker informed me that they ran out, so he compensated for two different tacos even though that costed more. The past 3 times I have been in here to dine in I have been told different things each time about prices about portions of food as well as being told some chips come with burritos chips so I pay for extra chips then I am presented with a hand full of chips on my plate as well as my basket definitely had extra chips for 1 person. Customer service makes you dodge this place when. The wrong staff is working. My husband, daughter, and I came here on Sunday afternoon and we could not be more pleased. Like all people working in the service industry the two ladies we dealt with are swamped and overworked but they are the exception in the way they are handling it. What a pleasure. We were greeted with smiles and patience (it was our first time and their menu is huge with so many yummy options.). Our food came out just as we ordered and was SO GOOD. Our daughter who like most 11 year olds is an expert on quesadillas and she would like me to add that this was "better than the ones you make, mom". We aren't close but whenever we are in the need for great smiles and good food we will make the drive, because it is SO worth it. Thank you for being the icing on the cake of our Sunday. This place was a disappointment from beginning to end and we will not be going back nor can we recommend. Here are the sad details: We ordered two different types of tacos and the meat was all so overcooked it was actually hard and the taco shells were actually stale. The nachos that we ordered without beans were covered in beans and just a little cheese and not one other thing. The side of guacamole was runny, thin and flavorless. The portions were small and almost all of the food seemed like it was cooked a couple days ago. The Sopa was so hard I could not actually bite into it. These people are good at marketing their menu items with false exaggerated names. I orderd the so called 1/2 lb meat "Bad Boy" burrito and i was totally shocked at how small it was for $13. It was just bunch of lettuce and guacamole and very little meat. The meat quality is also very low. They claim the chicken is "grilled" but it looked very suspect. Ordered 2 street tacos ( one hard shell), a taquitos combo and a burrito. The young woman working the front counter was very pleasant and made a few suggestions. My younger picky one didn't like the taquitos but liked the hard shell street taco. Hubby liked the burrito but it was huge! The taquitos combo came with guacamole which my son totally demolished. The food came out fast, everything was just the right temperature and it was delicious. The bathroom and the restaurant itself was very clean. I'll be back for taco Tuesday or happy hour one of these days! I gave it only 4 stars because it wasn't a hit with everyone - but then again, my youngest is pretty picky with his food and Mexican is not his favorite. read more

I'm not sure why the ratings aren't that great... I've lived in las flores for almost four years now and I have no idea why it took me so long to try this place out! Well.... I do know why, from the outside it looks like another chain restaurant, probably garbage from what I thought. I LOVE Mexican food! Growing up in SJC I know all the local spots there but never finding anything decent around town in ladera/RSM until today. My husband and I went to Tacos & CO today for the first time. The cashier was a younger girl and very friendly. I ordered sopes! You know the restaurant is legit if they have sopes on the menu. My husband ordered a burrito (I forgot which one) Immediately I noticed the salsa bar.. the carrots were so good and the spicy habanero salsa is extremely spicy but I couldn't stop drenching it on my sopes. Usually I have to ask for the spiciest salsa because everything on the salsa bars aren't spicy and very mild. My sopes were good. They could have added a little more beans but other than that I was satisfied. Next time I'm craving Mexican food I will be returning and trying something new on the menu. read more
