What a disappointment $41 going in the trash. Soup has no balance. Over stuff with tortilla and a mound of cheese there was barely any broth, which I did request. Shrimp Tacos were suppose to have a crunchy garlic crust and it was soggy and salty to the point that we were only able to eat the inside. After traveling from NYC from work I was so excited as food smelled delicious in car this was truly a vibe killer along with money being thrown in the trash. If I could pack it up and drive back I would. The staff was the only highlight as they we courteous. The food was a awful! Salt salt with splash of more SALT ! Sadly all request on this order was null and void apparently. How do u mess up tacos :-( now off to find dinner.

Deliciouso. I tried the other locations and equally delicious. Here is the fish taco. Restaurant is clean and upbeat Mexican music adds to the vibe.

This a fast-casual Mexican spot, somewhere between Chipotle and Tacoria. You might find yourself saying "I love what you've done to the place," if you are familiar with the area of businesses opening and closing. (It's also a nice replacement of what it was last.) The entire place is revamped with an industrial chic interior. The music gives it party vibes. As for the food, I've only had takeout (sorry, no photos) but what I've gotten was good and plenty, fresh, and most importantly, not salty. The "crazy nachos" are crazy packed with fillings more than toppings, because there's no chip left untouched. One less star because my attempts at small talk were not reciprocated by staff, making it feel more like a chain, and less like a small local business. I'll still come back for the food-- no complaints there!

I gave this restaurant one star because the only thing I liked I was the Horchata. The rice tasted old and as if it was heated in a microwave (dry and hard). The beans were not cooked all the way through. The meat didn't have much flavor. They didn't give me my guac with my order. And they must not pay attention to the special requests section because I requested my corn to have an ingredient removed and they didn't. Overall the quality was no where near worth the amount I paid, and I paid over $30 for my meal. Smh, never going back.

Bland, not friendly, clean, music I don't like. Food was not exciting. Service was a little slow.

The interior has been updated from the prior restaurant. We did take-out and ordered the Bistec a la Tampiquena. My husband found it simply delicious, not to mention a generous portion. The entree came with beans, rice, cactus, fried cheese and green chili enchiladas. The vegetarian accompaniments were plenty to fill me up. Their vast menu clearly shows cash vs. credit prices. They also offer a few breakfast selections. We look forward to trying more items and dining in next time.

Maybe too big? A review mentioned fish tacos so I wanted to start there, guac seemed like a good idea for a snack while waiting for our meals. It was ok, too watery due to excess lime juice and no pico in it as stated on the menu. The tacos were much better, long thin pieces of tilapia with shredded iceberg and cheese a few diced toms and a pink sauce. They were served on wheat tortillas. I wished the assemblage was slightly different, maybe just pickled onion and pico, but this Gringo version was fine. My friend thought his barbacoa special was ok only, but did not elaborate. We both got things to go too. He brought home the Birria quesadilla, and I the caldo de res. He thought the take home was much better than his lunch. My beef soup was not good at all. The spicy broth was not spicy or even seasoned, I could barely detect the presence of sodium. Worse was the cuts of beef included, they were mainly bone and fat with little meat. I get this soup at several places closer to home and have enjoyed them. This one was not edible to me. Had I not gotten that item I would be rounding up to 4 stars. Let's say 3.5 and a one and done for me....

They were welcoming, patient, and genuinely pleasant, which immediately made us feel comfortable. We ordered quite a bit of food, and everything came out fairly quickly. The cheese quesadillas and the chorizo quesadilla were delicious, and the sides really stood out. The street corn and golden avocado were full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Every item we tried was really good :-) - even my 3 year old daughter ate and she's very picky! The drinks did not disappoint. The horchata was excellent, so good that I had to go back for seconds. That alone says a lot. Between the great food and the exceptional service, I highly recommend the Princeton Tacoria location. Everyone was so nice to us, and it made the entire experience even better. I will definitely be going back.

The staff was proactive and thorough, changing gloves, using clean utensils, and preparing food in a separate area to prevent cross-contamination. It made the experience completely stress-free. Special recognition goes to Keyla, who took our order. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful with walking us through the menu to ensure safe choices. Her service genuinely elevated the experience. Great food, thoughtful service, and a place you can actually trust if you're gluten-free. Will absolutely be back.

There are 7 bar stools for counter seating, so either you take it to go or eat there (and then come out smelling like fried food). It's a local hole-in-the-wall that caters to fellow Central Americans, which is why I wanted to try the food. But alas, the food wasn't that great. The drink selection is good, though! Homemade horchata and tamarind drinks, plus a variety of canned drinks and juices, including mango with pulp. At the end of the day, it's worth a try (it's the only one like it in Princeton) but just don't expect too much!

I ordered one of the specials that used skirt steak (sorry, my Spanish is pretty much nonexistent so I forget the exact name) and it was prepared in ~10 minutes or so. I could tell it was fresh, so no complaints there! I took my food to go, and I have to admit that it was pretty challenging to cut up my steak with the provided plastic knife and fork. Granted, I'm not really sure what the solution is - it's not like they're going to give out a quality knife and fork for a take-out order. The steak was definitely tasty and tender for skirt steak, and the sides (rice, black beans, and pasta salad with a jalapeño on top) were all high quality as well. Finally, they offered some side tortillas which were decent but didn't blow me away. The whole meal was only $10, which is extremely reasonable for Princeton. Overall, I was really happy with my experience at Chapin. All of the food was good (with the exception of the side tortillas, which were only decent). I do think that the restaurant could offer a little more information on the ingredients of the specials (I had to use Google!), but I guess I could have just asked the reasonably friendly staff and he would have answered my questions :) But it's nice to just be able to read it off a menu. Anyway, I can definitely see myself coming back!
