I'm probably confused since the store says it opens at 11am. Ordered online @11:12 Arrived at 11:28 to pick up. And was shooed away from the store. Worker never opened the door and never said that they opened at 11:30. This is a strong 4 - would have nailed a 5 if the food came out a *touch* faster and if the churros were a little softer. THAT BEING SAID - we went on 11/27 at around 8p. Chicken rice bowl was hella tasty and a VERY good intersection of price-meets-volume. [That's perhaps the most important part.] Ditto the birria enchiladas - good stuff too. Churros were a touch on the crunchy side, dipping sauce was nice. We shall return! Looks like there's quite a large spread to check out. read more

What a disappointment $41 going in the trash. Soup has no balance. Over stuff with tortilla and a mound of cheese there was barely any broth, which I did request. Shrimp Tacos were suppose to have a crunchy garlic crust and it was soggy and salty to the point that we were only able to eat the inside. After traveling from NYC from work I was so excited as food smelled delicious in car this was truly a vibe killer along with money being thrown in the trash. If I could pack it up and drive back I would. The staff was the only highlight as they we courteous. The food was a awful! Salt salt with splash of more SALT ! This a fast-casual Mexican spot, somewhere between Chipotle and Tacoria. You might find yourself saying "I love what you've done to the place," if you are familiar with the area of businesses opening and closing. (It's also a nice replacement of what it was last.) The entire place is revamped with an industrial chic interior. The music gives it party vibes. As for the food, I've only had takeout (sorry, no photos) but what I've gotten was good and plenty, fresh, and most importantly, not salty. The "crazy nachos" are crazy packed with fillings more than toppings, because there's no chip left untouched. One less star because my attempts at small talk were not reciprocated by staff, making it feel more like a chain, and less like a small local business. I'll still come back for the food-- no complaints there! read more

This is one of my favorite places to visit when in South Jersey. I usually visit the Hightstown location where their manager Maddy does an amazing job at running the place. I was pleasantly surprised that this location was also very clean and efficient. My food was prepared quickly which was a surprise since it's made fresh. The food itself is very delicious and filled with so much flavor. I love that they offer plenty of desserts and jarritos. Cant wait for this restaurant to make its way to North Jersey. read more

I gave this restaurant one star because the only thing I liked I was the Horchata. The rice tasted old and as if it was heated in a microwave (dry and hard). The beans were not cooked all the way through. The meat didn't have much flavor. They didn't give me my guac with my order. And they must not pay attention to the special requests section because I requested my corn to have an ingredient removed and they didn't. Overall the quality was no where near worth the amount I paid, and I paid over $30 for my meal. Smh, never going back. read more

Super tasty! Had a bunch of different dishes. The burritos were stuffed and were better than any of the other burrito chains like Chipotle or Qdoba. The pupusas were delicious as well. I've been going to this spot for about a year and I ordered my usual today " crazy chicken empanadas and regular empanadas " they tasted different, the chicken wasn't shredded like before....I called and asked if they changed the chicken from shredded to this new recipe....the girl confirmed that they no longer have shredded chicken....very disappointing, the food tastes bad....unfortunately will not go back, for a long while it was one of my favorite food spots...not anymore read more

My mom and I wanted to love this place as there isn't much in our area for Mexican food options. First off the Bag that held the food we paid $80 for, broke and the order of fajitas spilled all over our floor. (I would suggest bringing a reusable bag) we over looked that and my mom tried her taco salad only to chew on a piece of bone. The churros and empanadas tasted good on initial bite but the after taste was of old grease. And last but not least the tortillas given with the fajitas were as hard as rocks, Ralphie from the Christmas story could have shot his own eye out with them! not only was the food amazing, but the entire vibe and staff were amazing too. at first, our chicken nachos were brought out to us without chicken - but the second we brought it up to them, the chef formally apologized and offered to remake the entire dish. when we said that wasn't necessary, the cashier came out with a plastic take-home container FILLED with chicken; she gave us so much. highly recommend this place for great mexican food and great service - will be back soon! read more

Don't ask for salsa for your to go, they will give you the stinky eye (yes asking for salsa is normal for Mexican right?). Service here sucks. Tacorito is a recent addition to the ever expanding list of ethnic eateries in Plainsboro. We recently ordered food to go. Ordering can be done online, or by kiosk at the restaurant. We ordered Crazy Empanadas, which consists of three nicely prepared pieces. Also ordered, was the Enchilada entree, with salsa verde. The order includes four enchiladas, black beans and rice. It's a generous dish, enough for two, unless you have a large appetite. The food was well prepared and enjoyable. The staff is friendly and efficient. My only criticism, is that while I was waiting, I noticed several tables that hadn't been cleaned, with one having a soiled napkin and food residue on the tables, some chairs and on the floor. There was staff available that could have cleaned and aligned the tables and chairs. I know some might call this nitpicking, but it makes one suspect the whole operation. Clearly, there needs to be some management guidance. Otherwise, a better than adequate experience. read more

This is my second time ordering here. I got fish tacos last time and they were delicious!! This time I got a bowl and added 3 different salsas as they sounded yummy and I normally enjoy spicy food. My food was borderline not edible. The spice level was so intense! Never had anything this spicy before. Be careful what you order. The fireball salsa would be a definite no for next time.
