Tacoria in Princeton was such a great experience for my family and me. We arrived before their 11:30 a.m. opening, and instead of feeling rushed or brushed off, we were treated so kindly by the staff. They were welcoming, patient, and genuinely pleasant, which immediately made us feel comfortable. We ordered quite a bit of food, and everything came out fairly quickly. The cheese quesadillas and the chorizo quesadilla were delicious, and the sides really stood out. The street corn and golden avocado were full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Every item we tried was really good :-) - even my 3 year old daughter ate and she's very picky! The drinks did not disappoint. The horchata was excellent, so good that I had to go back for seconds. the burritos are good! there's some casual seating but it can fill up pretty quickly, so be ready to take your food to-go. the service is quick, though there have been a few instances where the order is off (missing add-ons), which is a bit unfun if you've already taken your order back. Staff here were incredibly friendly and kind. They even checked up on us while we were eating and made sure everything was okay. The food was delicious and had pretty good flavor. The steak quesadilla was decently filled. It kind of reminded me of a small burrito. The al pastor nachos were delicious. A little smaller than I've had recently at another location but enjoyed all of it. The meats were flavorful and moist. I don't like corn, but I enjoyed sharing their street corn every time with my wife. I always ask for extra of their jalapeños - love the spice and flavor. The guava basil and lime aqua Fresca are our favorite - a little sweet, but nothing a little soda water or ice didn't fix. What topped off my dinner date with my wife was the playlist! Came to this Tacoria location for the 1st time 01/21/26 with one of my best friends. We partook in the Yelp Elite Event going on for the week! My son and I visited Tacoria after visiting Alfalfa (down the street). Interior of the restaurant was nice and aesthetically pleasing. Atmosphere was very inviting. The staff were friendly and patient as this was the first visit (at this location) for both of us. The tacos were delicious. I had one of each: * Al Pastor -- Pork marinated in spices and pineapple * Carne Asada -- Spice marinated grilled steak with Smokey Roja * Pollo Asada -- Citrus kissed grilled chicken with Habanero I also had the Mexican Street Corn and my drink was the Horchata. The tacos were EVERYTHING! My only complaint was that they were real heavy handed with the cilantro. I'm one of those people where the cilantro tastes like soap, so I can eat it sparingly. The pollo asada had habanero sauce so it was still super spicy to me, still delicious. The Mexican Street Corn is my favorite!! Wonderful!! The horchata drink was excellent. This is literally our go to spot whenever my boyfriend and I are in Princeton. The service is always great. I think we waited for our tacos for less then 10mins. We always order something different to try out their menu and the food never disappoints. It is also reasonably priced for a restaurant in such a popular college town. I think each taco is around $5, and they are loaded with food. I had to eat the stuffing with my fork before I could actually pick up my taco to eat!! For drinks they have a few option, like the signature Jarritos, coca cola and some branded water. The inside of the restaurant is pretty cool too! There are loads of light up signs, a mural and they always have some cute quote written on the blackboard. We genuinely love eating there! Since I live all the way in NYC, I cannot have Tacoria's food often and I think that makes my experience there more special. read more

Very good Mexican food. It is very loud and chaotic, which resulted in us not getting the order quite right. We wanted a burrito and instead ended up getting some kind of burrito bowl. Not tragic as it was delicious. The spicy chicken on it had a very nice kick to it. The nachos were also very good. The chips were thicker than I normally like but they had to be because the ingredients on top were hearty and heavy. The seating is a challenge but we were able so share with some strangers. I've gone to this Princeton location three separate times in the last 7 months. All of those times I've woken up to food poisoning at 3-4 in the morning. The third time I woke up I was throwing up for an hour at 4:15am The first two times I went, I got a chicken quesadilla w chips and salsa. Third time was just chips and salsa! I thought maybe, just maybe it could've been me or something after the first two times, maybe it was something I had ate before, earlier in the day, but after three times there is no doubt in my mind that someone contaminated the food or something is off with the food. The common denominator in all of the times was chips and salsa so I'd at a very minimum stay clear of that which is ridiculous as it's about as basic of a food as it comes. Usually do pickup or delivery cause they're always busy so getting a table can be challenging but their quality is great! I love their chips they're so thick and crunchy, the guacamole is awesome. Honestly I wasn't terribly impressed with their tacos. They had finely grated cheese on them instead of creamy shredded cheese which I am used to seeing on Mexican platters. As a lover of hispanic cuisine I love Tacoria, being a great place to go with friends and family they even have options for people who are vegetarian. Because of the great food and services it usually has quite a few customers but it truly depends on when you go. The only thing to point out is that food would have been able to be absolutely gluten free but everything is made in the same place and has high contamination risk (not with vegetarian options I do believe they use a separate cooking area but I am not sure would be worth a call) read more

I decided to try this place. It was really good! My food was ready within minutes. I got the burrito bowl, Mexican street corn and a Guava Mint Aqua Fresca. Everything was very fresh and seasoned well. They also had a lot of sauces and salsas by where you pick up the food which was super fun to try. I love the decor inside. It is really fun and bright. Came here for dinner an on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded. We ordered the Al pastor bowl, golden avocado tacos and a side of golden avocados. The Al pastor bowl was delicious. The pork and pineapples make such a good combo. The other ingredients of the bowl married everything together. The tomatoes added an ice freshness, the cheese added a nice saltiness and the sour cream added a nice richness. The golden avocado tacos were also excellent. The avocados themselves were perfectly fried and crispy on the outside. The chipotle sauce gave it a nice Smokey spice and tangy-ness. We find we always want more avocados in the tacos so we order an extra side order of it. Overall, this place is solid for fast made to order mexican food. Also if you like spice they have a variety a hot sauces you can choose from in the back where you pick up your food. read more

Aside from the delicious food, the staff is super friendly and very attentive. The spot is smack dab in the middle of Princeton University world so it's frequented by students. The music is pretty loud and festive and keeps up with the fast paced shelling out of the piping hot dishes. You really can't go wrong with any of their menu items! Maybe my expectations were high due to the previous reviews, and maybe my taco tastebuds are a little bias since I lived in Los Angeles prior to being in NJ. However, the food here was mediocre at best. We got the chips and guac, burrito and burrito bowl. We also got an agua fresca. I will say that I did really enjoy the agua frescas- very light and flavorful. The horchata on the other hand was really sugary. The chips were cold and not crunchy. The guac was not flavorful nor well-spiced. The burrito / burrito bowl were very salty. The ingredients tasted cheap. The cheese in my burrito tasted like nacho cheese from a jar. The ambience and service was fine, but again, nothing at all remarkable.
