I first discovered Taco Time in the late '70's in Burien, WA, and really liked it back then even though it wasn't very authentic Mexican food. I really like the variety that Taco Time has with their menu options. I actually have several favorites and I do eat there more than I ought to. Chicken and beef crispy burritos are very tasty. I'm a huge fan of the chicken hard taco, but it's not quite as filling as the beef one. And the baja fish tacos are a family favorite. I even like the bean baja tacos with the cabbage instead of lettuce. And when I'm feeling like I need to ear more healthy, they have a really good salad that has chicken, corn, beans, nuts, and a cabbage mix. I must have salsa more of like a pico de gallo. They have a hot sauce that is free and I like it when I eat their tater, tots or their crispy burritos, but otherwise not what I order. I also like their salsa verde as well. Generally, the drive up window service is excellent. Usually I am met with a smile and a good attitude by most of the servers. There's a Mexican food truck nearby which I also love. So it's interesting which I decide to go to when I'm in the mood for mexican food. I often choose the Americanized Taco Time over the more authentic food truck option about half of the time. That actually says something for the quality of the food at Taco Time. One occasional minor irritation is that at lunch time there's often a long line to the drive through. But I can't be mad about that because it moves fairly quickly and the food is good, hot and fresh. And, the service is top notch! read more

Just stopped by here for a late night snack of a crispy bean burrito, and their new seasonal corn chowder. Taco Time never disappoints. The workers are friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We had never been to this one before but it has the same quality we come to expect from a Taco Time. read more

I love Taco Time. It's my favorite fast food place, and this is the best one in the area. I come here at least once a week. I've been recommending Taco Time to everyone who visits this area for years. However, I tell everyone the same thing: I would fully understand if you don't like it. I'm not really sure why I like it so much. The food isn't really anything special, and honestly I've really only had one thing: chicken classic burrito with chicken chili. I think what I like about it is that it is high quality fast food. The ingredients are simple, but you can taste the fresh quality. Their salsa/hot sauce is simple and tasty. The food is consistently good, they serve it to you and they have a good variety of other side choices (I also like the corn chowder and the pinto beans). I moved away for a few years in 2015. I drove all the way from Virginia with the intention of stopping at the first Taco Time I saw. It happened to be in Spokane, and when I got there I was horrified: the menu was completely different. The burrito I got was essentially chicken nuggets and salad mix in a tortilla. I drove the next few hours to Silverdale mad and pulled straight in to this Taco Time. I was very relieved to find the menu I was used to. So if you tried Taco Time in another part of the state and hated it, give this one a try. read more

Friends of ours have told us the really like the Taco Time in Poulsbo, so when this new Taco Time opened up in Silverdale we decided to give it a try. It seems odd with so many local ma & pa Mexican restaurants, plus TWO national fast-food chains on the SAME STREET (Taco Bell and Tacos del Mar) that anyone in their right mind would think they could successfully open ANOTHER fast-food Mexican restaurant at this location. Time will tell. Overall, no big complaints. Food was decent. Prices and quantities were as-expected for any other fast-food chain. Service was prompt and friendly. Nothing about my experience here jumped out at being any better or worse than Taco Bell (next door) or Tacos del Mar (just down the street). I will give them two thumbs up for having COKE products though. Most places in Kitsap are under a Pepsi-Starbucks strangle-hold. read more

First of all, pepitas on your burrito? Fantastic. Life changing. Borderline emmaculate. Veggie burrito is my jam. Food is always fresh and the veggies are so crunchy, very much worth the extra few dollars IMO. Also the packaging is compostable and the soda machine is dope. And the employees are nice. It's all good. Second of all, some of the people leaving these reviews need to chill tf out. Employees forgot your hot sauce but everything else was right?? One star seems a bit extreme extreme. Found a foreign object in your food? How dare management ask for reasonable proof!! If they didn't, literally 8/10 people would mysteriously find a pocket knife or the Declaration of Independence in their burrito just to get that free #4 combo. Had a negative experience that management tried to rectify fairly and you refused, but still complain?? Get outta here with that. This is FAST FOOD. (And fresh fast food at that.) Had lunch here today and yep, very consistent with all the other lunches and dinners I've had here! Well, drive thru service was a little odd, not the normal friendly service. She seemed a bit "bothered" by us, maybe even irritated? It wasn't just us though, it was the other orders she took as well so maybe she was just having a bad day. I've tried many menu items and they're all consistently good. They're freshly made to order, hot when they get them to you and believe it or not, I've never had an order wrong from the drive thru! Can't say that about very many fast food places! My go-to order is the Fish Taco (the big burrito style one, not the small tacos) and it's always perfect! There's plenty of sauce and the fresh ingredients add such a wonderful snap to every bite. Now, for some reason, I crave the crispy mystery meat beef burrito! They are always made to order, too hot to handle and dripping grease out of the end but I love them! Tried the chicken soft taco today too (just a bite) and that was pretty tasty, and huge! Four stars for a fast food Mexican style restaurant is a pretty darned good rating but when compared to other venues of it's kind I believe it's deserved. The prices are a bit high and the wait can be annoying but all in all a great place to grab lunch. read more

I have been coming here for a long time and for the most part been very pleased with the food and service. My last visit was pretty bad. At the drive in window the cashier started to hand me my credit card, while she was doing this she turned to talk to another worker and she let go of my card before I got a hold of it. It fell to the ground. I told here she dropped my card and she just stared at me. I opened my car door and retrieved my card. She said she was sorry but it was obvious she did not mean it. I thought to myself no big deal everyone makes mistakes. She gave me my food and with a big smile said have a good day and she forcefully pushed the bag into my hands. I thought maybe I was imagining that until I got home and found hot sauce smashed all over the bottom of the bag and our food. I called and spoke with the team leader and she was apologetic. She mentioned one of the district managers was coming that day and asked if I would like to talk to her. I said yes and a little later she called and I explained everything. She was very nice and apologetic, offered me a free meal which I declined. Some employees are fantastic at this taco time but there are also quite a few who are more concerned with conversing and talking with other employees. The customer should always come first. I have known the manager at this taco time since she worked at the Bremerton store. I have been coming to taco time at least 15 years now. I sometimes come to taco time 3 times a week because I like there food so much, but because of this instance it is going to take a while before I go back if ever. read more

I used to go here all the time. Key phrase there is used to! Still cant believe what happened. March 3rd we went thru the drive thru and much to my horror found a thumb tack inside one of the chicken tacos. It was terrible! How on earth does a thumb tack end up in your chicken taco!! What if it had accidentally been swallowed?? And get this I email them to let them know (because it is the weekend and no one is in at the corporate office) and the response i get is a request to send a picture and basically nothing else. My husband and I enjoyed the food that we ordered. The fish tacos were especially delicious, and the mexi-fries were pretty unique as well! I'm giving 2 stars because my husbands tacos and tots were fine.. but I ordered a chicken burrito and spit out about half of the chicken. I only got about 2/3 and then decided it wasn't worth finishing. The chicken was fatty and boney. Also, I asked for no tomato and there was definitely pico de Gallo all over it. Employee in DT82 needs to retrained in proper etiquette when a customer has a concern with an order, Tantrums should not happen in front of a customer EVER! Please see to it this employee is retrained ASAP 2. Corporate has been informed advised by unnamed person. 3. Manager who took over handled the situation perfectly, however she needed to tell her employee how to handle it. Employee placed an order wrong, told me out right I was wrong. Stormed off when I told her to not speak to me in that manner because I indeed did not order an extra meal. She wanted nothing to do with me stormed off pacing through the back where myself and others could see and hear the complaining. Manager took over refunded that meal and told me to take the meal anyways as it would be thrown. So its sitting here for husband who is manager elsewhere and has been for 15yrs. Mistakes happen and I was kind to her and gently told her I did not order that, I FELT LIKE I HAD TO APOLOGIZE so instead of them saying sorry to me, I said sorry 3x before driving away. I'm not a big fan, but the wife likes their tostado salad. So, from time to time, I go. I order the beef tostado salad, ask to substitute black beans instead of the pintos, and no tomato. Same order virtually every time. It nearly always comes out with the tomatoes on it. About 20 percent of the time, they decide that chicken would be better for her than the beef she wanted and I ordered. And beans are a crap-shoot. I know, I should be happy that I am supporting a locally based company, but it would be a lot easier to be happy if they could get my order right with some consistency. read more

We have a Taco Bell close to home. I wish it were a Taco Time, they're MUCH better, though you have to pay a little more. I've probably lost $20 in food that the employees have forgotten to include in my orders here. I'm disappointed that not a single follow up comment is here from management either. Obviously this is a huge ongoing issue. If zero stars was an option that is what this visit would receive. Our food was not good! First of all our order was wrong...I had a taco salad with no "taco", the picture on the menu shows the taco salad with chips, and no fork (we went thru the drive-thru). Thankfully we took our food to the park and someone there gave me a fork. We had to pay 23 cents to add tomatoes to a burrito and there were no tomatoes. My daughter had a bean and cheese burrito which was not eatable so we tossed it...I'm not a picky eater and I have eaten here before, this was just a bad experience. I wouldn't recommend this location. The burritos have less filling than some of the other locations provide and the mexi fries I ordered tonight tasted a bit stale. Also the employees seem a little disorganized. A few times I have waited a very appropriate time, however I have also waited 20minutes on one occasion.
