Crispy pinto bean burrito - my favorite with their hot sauce
Jen R.

Just stopped by here for a late night snack of a crispy bean burrito, and their new seasonal corn chowder. Taco Time never disappoints. The workers are friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We had never been to this one before but it has the same quality we come to expect from a Taco Time.

The service is A+ excellent and David has an excellent sense of humor. We were seated immediately with the best unlimited chips and salsa with refried beans. They make all their own sauces FRESH. David made the habanero mango salsa himself! I got the birria tacos with consume served with another delicious special salsa (I took home.) Dad got the Huaracha Sampler that came with camarones sautéed in garlic onions and mushrooms with asada and barbacoa tacos with guacamole. Mom got asada tacos à la carte. They even sell their delicious salsa and sauces upon request. I would highly recommend large parties and families to go for celebrating they have alcohol and so many delicious items on the menu! Thank you for the best service and meal. We will be back again. Bookmarked. This would be a great stop if you are on your way to Lake Crescent and the Olympic Peninsula. For my order, I got the "Spinach Portobello Enchiladas." I asked for them sub the meats for veggies and they were to make the adjustment. Upon serving, the plate was well presented with rice and beans on the side. The enchiladas were quite flavorful as well as the rice and beans. Though the dish was more on the milder side for, the server was kind enough to bring some hot sauce. If you want to go out for a family gathering, this is a good place to go!

We had the same Acapulco Margaritas both times, though they cost a bit more the second time because the restaurant removed them from their Happy Hour offerings. They run around $18 each and come in a stainless steel shaker with small Margarita glasses, which we prefer to those huge, heavy, hard-to-lift glasses the premium Margaritas are served in. Foodwise, we had Mole Enchiladas ($21) and Crema Chipotle Enchiladas ($21) with shredded chicken one time and Chile Rellenos ($21.50) the next time. You get beans and rice with your entree and we always order pinto beans (preferred over refried beans) and poblano rice instead of Mexican rice. You always get started with the traditional basket of chips and their delicious and somewhat spicy salsa. The most noteworthy aspects of our dinners: the birthday coupons, the free birthday desserts we received (fried ice cream one time and a half dozen yummy churros with caramel dipping sauce the next time), and the excellent service we got from Luci. She is so friendly, welcoming, and attentive and she told us all about her families here and in her native Guatemala. Thank you, Luci...you're the best!

The beans and salsa were very good and the chips just normal, first basket had many small and broken pieces. My wife had the steak fajitas. They were sizzling hot and the meat was tender and plentiful. I would have liked more onions and peppers if it were me but she was fine. Flour tortillas were good although we were told they make their own corn tortillas which for those who like them were probably good. I had the single combo (chicken enchilada) with rice and beans on side. We chose refried beans but other options were available. The enchilad was tasty, had good amount of filling and cheese. Sour cream and guacamole were extra and portion size a bit small but I know costs are up. We would definitely go back in the future.

They require a two or three minimum, depending on your protein of choice. You can't mix meat in the taco / mulita plates either - can only choose one meat. Fine, I let it go. I then asked if they could mix beef and pork in two burritos. The manager said yes, but when the bill came out to $34, he claimed it was because of extra meat. Right there at the restaurant I opened my burrito to check, and there was barely any meat at all. It was packed with rice and beans and nothing else. Forget extra meat. There was hardly any meat to begin with. When I showed the manager, he laughed at us and walked away speaking in Spanish. That was the moment I was done. On top of everything, the beef tasted burnt and the pork tasted old. I felt disrespected, overcharged, and completely ripped off. The food quality was poor and the management was worse. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values their customers.
