First time trying Taco Time since I am new to the PNW I thought I would give them a try. I was weary reading the reviews but I think those are from awhile back. I went on Cinco De Mayo and got the 2 of the beef crispy tacos that were on special for $2! I also got a soft fish taco and that was begged than I expected fish was flaky and not overly fried. I did get the crispy chicken burrito and that was REALLY good dipped with their signature ranch. I would definitely come back and chose them over Taco Bell (Taco Bell is across the street) read more

Absolutely love this place . Staff is always on top of it and great service. Unfortunately I go there probably 5 days a week out of 7 days and love their new menu after 8pm . But unfortunately 1 night they left 1 of my chicken tacos out and my side . Sour cream with my pinto burrito .we called and yes complained and was treated by a sweat lady and understood our situation and stated she would send us a voucher in replace of there mistake was nice but never received thought I might of gave wrong info so called and spoke to the same lady . She almost sounded like she forgot to send and stared I will send you another voucher for my mistake and still never received.... Hmmmm but still luv to go there read more

I Love Taco Time, but Will Not be going to the 176th and Canyon rd in. Puyallup one Ever Again! back in November 2025 went ordered a chicken taco salad, couple tacos and 2 burritos, was Very Unsatisfied with meal , water in Bottom of my Salad about 1/2 inch had to throw away, my 2 tacos were Almost inedible also hardly any meat and tomatoes were soft and gooey! Left message for Manager she called me back about 6pm in evening, sounded So Apologetic said she was So Sorry this happened, said she hoped I would still come back to this Taco Time and to compensate me took my address and said she would send me coupons to get a couple of free meals, that was great and I was satisfied my concerns were met..........Well No Coupons, no Correspondence , Nothing-Never Going Back There, will take my Business Elsewhere!!! read more

For lunch today, I ordered two crisp bean burritos, a medium mexi-fry and a large diet with no ice. The drink had ice in it. Third time in a number of weeks this has happened. The fried burrito and mexi-fries has an awful after taste..as thought fried in fish oil. Either that or the oil was very old. I stopped my burrito after two bites and after just one mexi-fry, into the trash they went. Sorry Taco Time, this visit was an epic fail. I was excited to see the new Taco Time in Puyallup so I took my granddaughter over for a taco. The 1st thing we noticed was that we had to park in a lot where we had to physically cross the drive thru lane to get to the building! WTF Taco Time?!?! I'm guessing that was a "business decision," to be more physically visible from the street and let your paying customers fend for themselves crossing your drive thru instead of putting the building in the back of the lot, where it would be a LOT safer for your patrons!!! Especially with the river right back there and all of the homeless lurking around in the back! Then we got inside to find out that her kids soft burrito meal and my 3 crispy tacos with a mexi fries were going to cost more than just the $20 bill I had on me, forcing me to put $1.87 on my debit card. My family LOVES taco time because it's normally fresh, clean, and delicious. We went to this location last night. Our crisp chicken burritos tasted soured. Like the meat or the grease was rancid. Then the tots. The tots looked burnt and that's when I realized they haven't changed their grease. We spent all of last night sick to our stomachs. It's been horrible. Makes me so sad that one of our favorite places has become this dirty. read more

I have never been disappointed with the food or the service. They are nice, helpful people! However, the restaurant is dirty. It doesn't smell clean. It smells like an old kids playground. The floors are super greasy - your feet tend to slide apart as you are sitting or standing in place. It's pretty gross. We have stopped going there because it is so dirty. It's hard to believe that the restaurant would be dirty but the food prep areas immaculate, if you know what I mean...they are most likely just as dirty. read more

I've only ever tried the quesadillas and for a fast food one they are slapping. I know a good quesadilla when I see one! Unlike the garbage quesadillas you can get a Qdoba (see my review of that) these ones had enough cheese and chicken ratio. Though they are a bit small. Every time I got them they always came out consistently the same. Haven't had taco time until recently and wish I had a bit sooner. Also the hot sauce is pretty slapping too. I know they make it from scratch at the beginning of the day and you can actually take in the fresh ingredients. read more

As usual the food is bunk at the Pierce County Fair, so Taco Time was on the menu after the fun. The restaurant is clean, well lit, and the staff is friendly. I ordered the Mexi-Platter which comes with a hard taco, a rolled burrito, tots, salad, and beans. The hard taco was great and didn't break into a million pieces after one bite like some other fast food taco places (I'm looking at you Taco Bell....) and the rolled burrito is exactly what one those fried gas station burritos is supposed to taste like! Crispy and hot with nice beef and bean filling, so basically the exact opposite of the gas station variety. If you didn't know, Taco Time is a pretty green company that likes to use local ingredients and fresh foods versus frozen slime pumped from a caulking gun. The price point was good on this meal at just over $7 for the beef option, but it doesn't include a drink. This is a good place to get some fast Mexican food that's really a lot better than the competitors. read more

I finally gave in and tried this very very very non Mexican food and it was horrible. I don't understand how there are so many of these. This is the furthest thing from any type of Mexican food I have ever tried. The "fresh salsa" is horrid I thought it was going to be good when the lady said yes we make it in house! How hard is it to make salsa... not very hard... on top of this the "taco" I got was wrapped as a burrito and was so cold and literally just hand full of cabbage I had to take like 6 bites to find two extremely hard shrimp and drowning in some weird sweet sauce I have never had that on a fish item. The tater tots were burned... all around I will never eat at taco time seriously ever again. The staff was very nice to not be completely negative if not I'd give this place negative 5 stars. read more

It's official folks... Taco Time has become my #1 Mexican fast food...absolutely the Best tasting classic ck burrito, fish soft taco, and veggie soft taco!! I've eaten here three times and each item was prepared by dedicated and friendly staff, with fresh and delicious ingredients. Love their salads and Nachos at this place. Their tater tots are amazing. I don't order them often because I can eat a large serving so darn fast. All of their food is good. Not sure about inside service but evenings and lunch rush are incredibly busy. Prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants. There are a couple of food trucks and a new place that used to be KFC that serve more 'authentic' food, but too spicy for me. read more

Food was delicious and hot, but who really wants to sit in a restaurant with a foul order and eat? I was kinda thrown off and bothered by the smell in the establishment. Tables were not cleaned off and dirty for somewhat being slow. I totally dig that they bring your food out to you! Kudos for that, but the up keeping needs a little work. read more

Whoever the lady in the red shirt was (long braid), working on Tuesday night around 6 pm- you are amazing!! First off, you guys were super busy, crew of like 8, and you were running everything so smoothly. Food came out incredibly fast even tho the location was super, super busy w/ drive-in, pickups and counter orders. You were so polite to every single customer, even tho people were asking you for stuff every 30 seconds. Not sure if you're the manager or not, but you deserve a bonus, or promotion 100%. The typical got screwed in the drive through scenario. Ordered beef nachos. Got home and they were Chicken nachos. And to top it off they were colder than a Texas Winter in February. How do you F-up something that easy? Needless to say not a good showing for Taco Time. read more

Great customer service at this location! Girl working the drive thru at the Meridian location rushed me through my order and got me flustered. I forgot the chips & guacamole! So I decided to go to this Frederickson location on the way home and was greeted by happy staff who made sure I had everything and double-checked to make sure I didn't need any sauces, etc. The food is always great too. But the customer service makes a tremendous difference! read more

I ordered using the online service so that my food was ready to pickup when I arrived, which it was - that's great, no waiting in line at the register or drive-through. Ordering online lets you customize your food, by easily deleting or adding ingredients, which is one of the things I love about that ordering method. Unfortunately, this Taco Time (Frederickson) included, the restaurants are only getting the order right about 50% of the time. Just as an example from today, I ordered a beef natural soft taco. I asked that pinto beans be removed, and that black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and corn salsa be added. The pinto beans were left on and there were no black beans. Lettuce seemed to be the normal amount, and I didn't find any extra tomatoes. It did seem like they added sour cream. There was a tiny speck of corn salsa - maybe a couple teaspoons, which I didn't find until the last 1/4 of the taco. The exact same order placed at other locations has resulted in vastly different results, a taco that weighs significantly more. This one didn't feel any heavier than a non-modified order. Sure, it was still good, but what is the point of allowing modifications, if you are just going to follow (or not follow) them at whim?? The mexi fries were great, crispy and fresh, without salt, as I had requested. read more

Food is fresh and delicious! Prices are reasonable too. Problem is, it take 20-30 minutes to get it. Drive through lines are atrocious! The "mexi fries" are unseasoned sweet potato tater tots. So while good, they shouldn't be called "mexi fries". Definitely recommend trying this place, just be prepared to wait. read more

OMG ...wasn't extremely busy 2 people waiting and then I order...about 4 minutes after entering building. 25 minutes for 3 tacos....asked twice....25 minutes....never be back to this location.
