My girls and I flew from San Diego and drove to Ohio for five days at Lost Lands. After a crazy week, severe weather had us leaving at 2 AM Monday morning and driving six hours straight back to Chicago. First and foremost, the affordability vs the amount you get is more than decent. They offer an array of food options and what drew me in was their quesabirria dinner-although you pay extra for beans and rice it's still within a solid range. The beans and rice are super tasty! We LOVE Taco Moro. This has been our Friday dinner treat for the last three weeks. One thing about us, if a place is good and consistent, we're always going to come back. Their burritos are our go-to. My husband prefers their steak burrito and it comes packed! My favorite is a bean and cheese (generous beans) and add rice and sour cream. I'm hungry all over again, let me tell ya! The burritos are always kept together nicely and they reheat great. We also really like the flan and special churro flavors when available, like the strawberries and cream. We did get a stale plain one once but reheating it softened it a bit. Service is friendly. Same gentleman typically takes my order and always ensure I'm on the phone with the correct location. Quoted pickup times are accurate and the restaurant typically has 1-2 tables always dining. A couple weeks ago, I decided to try this place after seeing a recommendation in a neighborhood group. This isn't a pace for a date night, but the food is fabulous, fresh and tasty. I've been back already a few times since then. Who doesn't love homemade tamales! They had four different kinds on my last visit. Order at least three for dinner and thank me later. The steak and chicken tacos were superb. Like their rice and beans and salsas. Tried the Birra Ramen soup last night and it was excellent. Truly phenomenal omg I am OBSESSED!! My sister and I decided to finally try this place after living nearby for a while and it was seriously the best tacos we've had in years. Such flavorful tacos that are truly authentic and fresh. Their guacamole was a 5/5 too. The employee who took our order at the counter was helpful and very nice. 5 stars for the birria quesadilla. Incredible and massive! Split into two servings or save half for later. Solid leftovers. Consomme doesn't match the glory of the quesadilla by a good mile, so cast it to the side. Horchata is solid as well. Came back for quesobirria tacos, and they don't quite live up to the quesadilla... which just has it all. Best part is the service! Man at the counter is a real one. First time dining at Taco Moro. It is located in a small strip mall with easy parking. They have a great selection of items on the menu highlighting their daily specials as well. I had the burrito special which came with rice and beans. The portions were very generous and the food was remarkably good. I live in an area that has six Mexican in a five block radius and tried many of them. Toco Moro has them beat hands down. It was worth the trip to enjoy an authentic homemade prepared meal. The chicken had no seasoning and could have been cooked more with a crisp and used chicken breast. The rice and beans were good and the salsas were mediocre. The birria tacos and quesadillas are popular so may want to give that a shot when you come in. walked in at around 8:00pm not busy at all. guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. menu seems decent and lots to choose from. was looking forward to trying the churros but there wasn't anymore left which is okay we ordered three steak tacos with cilantro and onion. it's pricey. plus $2 per one slice of avocado on the tacos. that's just ridiculous in my opinion. but overall tacos were good. loved the way the meat was sliced and cooked. salsas we're also very good. will come back just no avocados. read more

The guacamole was so delicious-it had chunks of avocado and was just the right consistency. The steak meat and the chicken were juicy and cut up into small cubes and was the hit of the party!! It was my first time there with Mom and even though the steak Torta was just so-so, (I would have liked a different bread for the bun) the service was great and the chicken burrito was so perfect. Small unassuming dive in a strip mall. But food and service are excellent. I usually come into work into an office nearby a few times a month and this place is now solidly in my lunch rotation. I knew when I walked in that I was in the right place. The Birria cheese tacos dipped in the Consome changed me. The Consome was rich, with deep flavors that I have dreamt of in the days since I went. The horchata is solid, though I haven't met many Horchatas that I didn't love.
