This place seems to look like a taco joint but it's a full on restaurant with decent Mexican food. Here they don't charge extra for chips and sausage like the place across the street. I had a chicken enchilada with rice and beans from the senior menu. I like they offered a senior choice. It was good ., had flavor and portions were good. The place is clean and good ambiance. We don't have good Mexican options where I'm from and I didn't hold out a lot of hope for this one either but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, it's not fancy and it's not texmex so it might not be what some expect but it's pretty much what you get in little places in Mexico. Our server didn't speak spanish and the kitchen didn't speak english so questions about the menu were interesting but we got though it with a little spanglish and hand gestures. I had enchiladas which were tasty. Rice and beans were both great. The salsa for the table was a lot hotter than expected but I like heat so that was great for me. read more

Finding good Mexican food in Montana is like finding a buffalo in your bath tub, it doesn't happen very often. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall, the perfect atmosphere for authentic Mexican food. The salsa that came with the chips was quite good. I had the carnitas burrito. It was pretty good and big enough to choke a horse. I ate it all anyway. The side bit of guacamole was exceptional. I'll definitely be a return diner. read more

Fantastic authentic Mexican food which can be very hard to find in Montana. They offer several Mexican bottles beers, and a great variety in their menu. Even though their strip-mall location is not super fancy, they had some great décor; some of which may be family heirlooms. Most importantly they appeared to have the two, tell-tale indicators of good Mexican food - grandma was in the kitchen, and they were all speaking Spanish. I had the shredded beef chimi with beans and rice. Went down great with their homemade salsa and a cold Pacifico! I will definitely be back to try the carne asada. read more

This our first visit; glad we stopped in. Although we did not this when we decided to stop in, it turns out that Tuesday is taco day. Tacos are $2.00. I ordered 2 chorizo tacos. They are good size and the meat flavorful. Rebecca ordered the enchilada with green sauce. It was filled with meat (carnitas was our choice). The sauce was good. Rebecca enjoyed the rice and beans. I'm from San Diego. This is a great little Mexican restaurant. Family owned and run. But it is a sit down with sit down prices, you order at the till easily but the wait is longer than a grab n go place. Although, I do miss my down and dirty grab and go taco shops in SD but this will definitely do! The five stars is considering that we are in Montana though. Haha. That being said it absolutely does the trick when I have a hankering. Their beans and rice and chips are actually perfect! Everything I and my family have tried here has been excellent. The asada tacos are the best I've had in Montana by far (see pic). The chips and salsa are amazing and wonderful enough to make a meal of just by themselves. Service is friendly and fast. Its a small place, so seating may be tough to come by at busier times. Love this place! They have the very best Chile Rellenos I have ever tasted! I drive 32 miles round trip just for one of these! My normal order is 1 Chile Rellenos and 1 Beef Tamale (the tamale is equally as good and is filled with beef). The food is authentic and excellent, the service is great. Taste and quality sub-par. High salt content, too. We ordered chicken burrito, chicken enchiladas, and nachos. The burrito was enormous, but its size didn't compensate. This is a small, taqueria style restaurant run by very nice, spanish speaking people. It is similar to many small, family run restaurants in Mexico. The menu is quite authentic, including coctel de camaron, queso fundido, pollo en mole and machaca along with many other Mexican restaurant standards. Give this humble place a try. Very worthy. Since I moved here, I've been trying to find good mexican. This is my fourth or fifth visit, and every time has been excellent. They crisp the carnitas up a bit, and it is fantastic. Tacos are served on corn, as they should be. The shrimp Diablo has some heat, and I had no issues ordering extra tortillas. My family and I were visiting from San Diego for a little over a week and started to crave some Mexican food. This place did not disappoint, I would go as far to say it was better than many taco shops back home. Let me start by saying, I have never in my adult life ever been treated so poorly by a Waitress.She was not are waitress but she started sitting people that were there after us,I think her job was to seat everyone until the gal that ran the till could help.I told the waitress she was seating people that was there after us and she blew up and got very angry that I said something.When she sat us she brought the menu's and just threw them on the table.We got the waitress that helped us and was pleasant and took are order and brought us are drinks and chips and salsa.After awhile we stared noticing people were getting food that were seated way after us,finally are waitress came over and apologized and said they lost are ticket and we reorder are food and I was Compt another beer.The food was very good but the waitress that sat us was very Rude unprofessional and unfriendly.Just my opinion she needs to find a job where she would treat people better and the Restaurant needs to hire more waitresses or waiters.... read more

Solid three stars but I gave it four since I didn't see the cook, figured if he was creepy but cooked good food I would still eat it (unless he was seriously horror film creepy and has butcher knives for hands and uses those to prepare it), and i actually thought the food was pretty good. Very, very good food. Even in California it's rare to find a Mexican restaurant that has homemade enchilada sauce as good as we had in this one. The guacamole and salsa were fresh and tasty.
