Typical taco johns experience, decent fast food tacos, good fast food taco bowl (I love the bowl part!), and decently fast service. There are complaints about it being slow, but when we ordered tacos, a taco bowl salad, a side, and drink it came up in about 5-6mins- decent for eating inside a fast food restaurant. Today was the second time we stopped at the Taco John's in Princeton Minnesota. This Taco John's location is so clean, and the food is awesome! Today I had a super burrito and I scarfed it down so fast! I have been to other Taco John locations and they don't rate compared to this one. It is owned by the McBroom family and the staff is so friendly! I cannot say enough about this spot. I don't eat a lot of fast food, so for me to actually go out of my way to write a review says everything. I've never been at a friendlier fast food place in the last 10 years. I waited in the drive through lane for 20 minutes and I was one car behind someone. I waited another 20 minutes once it was my turn and didn't hear anything. So I decided to pull up to the window and they opened it and told me that they couldn't take my orders because they were closing early due to being short staffed and that they took the last guys order because they waited a while. There was no sign anywhere in the drive through indicating this and they could have at least told me through the intercom that they closed instead of leaving me a sitting duck. My husband went there before by himself and he was unhappy but I forgot his story and this was after I went there. Absolutely no common sense at this location. read more

New location but same meh service. They now have 2 lanes to disappoint you for the drive-thru! Unlike Dairy Queen or McDonalds (local competitors worth considering), they have not figured out how to keep the drive-thru moving. After waiting a couple of minutes to be acknowledged to no avail, we drove over to Dairy Queen and were passing by as the vehicle in the other lane while we were there was leaving. Foodwise it isn't bad, at least in the recent past. We were eating there a couple of times a month while they occupied their old location. Unfortunately if there are a line of cars, you will be waiting long enough for the place to be considered slow-food. read more

sadly I cannot eat at taco Johns any longer. the food is way too spicy. today I ordered chicken street tacos which have always been mild and one of my favorites. unfortunately someone put something in the tacos and after 1 bite my mouth was on fire. usually there are mild and spicy options unfortunately there's no consistency. makes me sad. read more

Horrible customer service. The person taking my order wouldn't let me finish what I was saying, after every breath I took, he would say "is that all". I think he said it 6 times. Then when I asked to get a steak quesadilla, like I have gotten several times in the past, he said they don't make those. Not even to pay more for it. Really?! I can't give you enough money to make a steak quesadilla, which should be on the menu anyway. He said whoever made it last time was mistaken, there are no steak quesadillas allowed. Wow. Also, I never get all my food. Watch your bag and don't you dare call back asking for your money back for the $20 in missing good. They are pretty nasty about it, like you're the thief! Meant to type in Taco Bell but somehow my thumb slipped and I pulled into the taco johns restaurant. I had to do an outfit change so went into the bathroom; had to tip toe around the piss on the woman's bathroom but I was looking forward to the potato burrito, potato oles and Mexican doughnuts I ordered. Went back to the dining area and heard my order #201! I leaped into action and grabbed my tray. The potato things were okay, but the biggest disappointment was the burrito. Super small and I spent $8.80 on my meal!!! It was cheesy overload! My kids LOVE Taco John's! They service is great and the employees are friendly. I even had this Taco John's cater my son's graduation party. Eric does a great job setting up the taco bar and getting everything set up for your party and he comes back the next day and picks everything up. For what it cost me to have Taco John's cater the graduation party it was cheaper than if I had tried to make the food myself, plus I didn't have the headache of making all the food and dealing with all of that. I will certainly consider using Taco John's to cater any other events I have. read more

Great food! The manager there berated an employee. Totally unprofessional. He was a young white kid with a flower tattoo on his neck. Tried to exercise his authority. He was rude and mean to his coworker. My friends and I were soo uncomfortable. This guy needs to be fired! read more
