Raw chicken in burrito
Nick M.

I wouldn't come here again if you paid me. Placed our order through the app for curbside pickup at 320 in the parking lot and said it should be ready at 339 and to check in. Nowhere on the app did it allow us to check in. We tried calling a dozen times and finally at 350 got ahold of the store. The enployee, Charles was extremely rude telling us that this store didn't do curbside pickup and we would have to go through the drive thru and wait for our order. Once at the window the manager would not give us her name and said they were not responsible for the app not saying they didn't do curbside pickup Edit: once we got home, first bite of burrito revealed raw chicken

Mexican tater tots

I gotta say... I don't really get the appeal of this place. My friend Stephen recommended it but had not yet been, so we went for dinner. There is a late 90's Taco Bell vibe to the restaurant interior. There is actually a salsa bar akin to authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to. The odd thing is, instead of chips you get tater tots instead. I tried dipping them in the salsa and was left feeling dumb for even trying. Not a good combo. Salt and grease plus acidic, thin salsa does not work for me. All I am going to say is that the meat on the tacos tasted strangely sweet and had a sloppy joe, cafeteria-like consistency. Not hating on the place, it had plenty of customers that looked like they wanted to be there. Please feel free to share with me your favorite item on the menu because maybe I got the wrong thing? Try Taco John's, see what you think!

Potato Oles Scrambler with Bacon & Some Extras

I gave a 5 star for the value & Friendliness today. My children & I aren't big breakfast eaters so we done something not very ordinary for breakfast. We done a mobile order for the first time. My son & myself ordered the Breakfast Potato Oles Scrambler & LOVED that they had options online to add extras. And they were reasonable on the charges. You can xtra Bacon and xtra potatoes for 50 cents each, xtra tomatoes or onions for 10 cents each, also xtra Nacho cheese or add shredded for 25 cents each. I love veggies so that was a great option for me. We got the large scrambler & I ate less than half & was full. My son had about a quarter left!! So definitely good portion & it was yummy with crispy, seasoned potato oles, bacon, scrambled eggs, Poblano peppers, Xtra onions, xtra tomatoes & xtra nacho cheese.. Definitely gonna be a favorite for breakfast!! The girl at the drive thru was very pleasant. Food was quick & average price for food these days!! So over all, based on FAST food review, quality, taste of food & service, they deserve a 5 for this visit...

a taco on a wrapper

The rating system doesn't go low enough. Huge disappointment! Heard many people suggest this place as a must do if you are in the area. I think it must have been a joke now, at my expense. Why did I pay more for the crappy version of Taco Bell! Who would suggest this place unless you had literally no other option. Order 2/$5 chicken taco quesadilla, 1 ole potato, 1 chicken grilled burrito and 1 grilled taco combo with a Sierra Mist. The drink was just the carbonation and no flavor so it was completely not drinkable. The quesadillas were soggy disasters that basically glued itself to the wrapper. It was like they had been sitting around for a while under a heat lamp with the lettuce pico and three small chunks of chicken. The wrappers were covered in and outside with possibly cilantro that was "baked on"crusty yuck. I could barely scratch it off. I ate maybe half on the quesotaco and just couldn't stomach it. I thought it was just part of the wrapper until I opened to check the other one. The oles, I mean, is a hash brown. Let's not play like OMG amazing and why are they sold by the pound. Burrito and grilled taco were deemed meh at best by hubby who has eaten many gas station burritos and said these were actually worse. Literally nothing to write home about, unless it was to warn someone to skip it.

Good freshly made food! The service can be a bit more friendly but it's fast food i guess.

My husband and I came to this restaurant while visiting the area. It will now be on our must-visit…read morerestaurant list when we are in the area. We were warmly greeted when we came into the restaurant. It was very tastefully decorated, light and airy, and all of the servers were dressed in white shirts and black pants and vests. Our server was excellent, and funny. After he took our order, he assured us he would be back in an hour. We were served warm tortilla chips and bean dip. The salsa bar boasted of several house-made salsas and sauces, and I tried the standard, the tomatillo, and the avocado sauce. All three were excellent. My margarita came out with a bushel of various fruits on top, and was delicious and refreshing to the very last drop. I can't be sure, but it tasted hand-crafted and not from a mix. For dinner I had Pollo Fundido and it was excellent.Cooked to perfection, generous with the cheese sauce, and served sizzling hot. My husband had a fajita quesadilla. Both of us had far more food than we could eat and were only disappointed that we did not have room for the several excellent desserts on the menu. Love this place! We will be back!!

I don't know where the owner of this place is from, but what they call a tamal is: a hunk of masa with taco meat and some type of sauce put over the top. There was absolutely no flavor at all to the masa. I couldn't even eat it. When the server came over and asked how everything was, I ask her if this is how a tamal is made where she comes from. Again, all you get is "I'm sorry". I'm done paying for food that I can not eat. A business with good management would offer to get you something else, or take this item off of your bill. Doesn't happen here :(

That is really all I can say positive about our trip. Cheese dip was way too greasy and had very little chorizo in it. Guacamole, according to menu, was made to order. It was definatley not made after I ordered it. First off, it was sitting on my table less than 5 minutes after I ordered it. The avocados were brown and the guacamole had very little flavor at all. Quesadilla had onions and peppers in it even though waiter repeated back to my wife chicken and cheese only. Margarita was very weak We had one cheese dip, one order of guacamole, one quesadilla, and one margarita. Our check was $50. I have ate at ALOT of Mexican restaraunts. It is by far my favorite food to eat. I have been to Mexico 5 times and have eaten there as well. Table side guacamole is my favorite thing to eat at a Mexican restaurant period. After our visit last Sunday, I just felt that I needed to share how horrible it was. Feedback is how problems are fixed.

Years ago, we didn't have any decent Mexican for around here. Now we have an embarrassment of…read moreriches in that cuisine. 7 Hermanos is among the best. It's not quite TexMex and not quite Mexican, kind of a cross between those and AmeriMex. You can get it from mild to pretty spicy. The portions are enormous. They bring food out on platters that are bigger than some tables I've owned in college apartments and Army barracks. Like everywhere these days, it can be short staffed at times. My advice is to either enjoy a drink or some chips or an app and take a deep breath. Smell that? That's the kind of ethnic food and experience that's best when it's not rushed. Maybe get here before or after the rush, but please don't take it out on the staff. That's not only rude and ineffective, but kind of dumb. I mentioned TexMex because I married into a family that lives south of the Red River. I know, I know. But they do have good taste in spicy food and they like this place too. The menu is huge too. All kinds of items you expect, lots of seafood, and some dishes like chicken with chorizo and cheese that had a different name in every joint.

There is handicapped parking close to the entrance door, so just watch as you are crossing the traffic lane. The host/ hostess counter is directly in front as you enter. We were greeted right away and taken to a booth. One bench cover was torn and the table had an annoying wiggle every time you changed positions. We also noticed the overhead music was slightly too loud. There were several other groups eating and we heard their conversations as they tried to talk over the music. Our server was very friendly and did his job well. He took our drink order and then gave us the right amount of time to make our selections. We received the chips and salsa just before our drinks arrived. The food took no more than 15 minutes after we placed the order to arrive. The salsa was disappointing. It had a strong tomato paste flavor. There were bits of onion and a few pieces of cilantro but neither of those flavors made it through. The carnitas was pretty good. The amount of pork was a bit less than expected but the flavor was good and it was very tender. The rice and refried beans were average at best. The salad was nice, with fresh lettuce, avocado and jalapeno slices, and tomatoes. The chicken and shrimp was also pretty good. The chicken had nice seasoning even without the cheese sauce and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. This dish had the same rice and refried beans. BTW, the accompanying tortillas were hot, so be careful as you unroll them. Other than the excellent service, the best part of this experience was the salsa bar. There were about eight different salsas to chose from. Each had a unique flavor and ranged in consistency from pico to creamy. One pico even included cactus. Any of these salsas were an improvement over the initial salsa and also made a great addition to the main meals. The bottom line for me is this is an average Mexican restaurant with above average service and salsa bar.
