I'm not a fan of Taco John's. I've tried eating their food several times over my 50+ years and have never had a great experience. This location was no exception. There was no one in sight at the counter so we chose to use the kiosk. It was confusing to find what you want that wasn't in a "combo" and then to select and choose the contents was also not straight forward. I ordered the super chicken burrito. Nothing very super about it. I don't like beans so I thought I'd ordered it without selecting the beans, but I guess I needed to opt out of the beans to guarantee they were not included. I think the burrito would have been much better if it wasn't overpowered by the unwanted bean slurry. I also split an order of the tater tots with my husband. These were unsalted and a bit stale. They tasted like they had been sitting around for a while before we got them My husband ordered crispy tacos and wasn't too impressed with the offering. This location NEVER gets an order correct. I stopped using the drive through because the AI cannot work correctly and the employees aren't much better. The last 3 times I've ordered here I've ordered in the lobby face to face and again today my order was WRONG! I order to go to take to work and only once I get to work do I discover the order is wrong and I can't turn around and go back to complain. I will NEVER do business with TACO JOHN's again, I've given multiple chances for them to fix this but TACO JOHN's can't give correct orders, it seems impossible. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! read more

Absolutely terrible. Tried ordering in drive thru and it was AI which messed up our order and then deleted it all so we decided to go inside. Go inside and the workers all seemed incompetent and didn't like each other nor knew what was going on. Food took awhile to be done and burritos were mostly lettuce. You'd think since they were making AI take orders that the inside would be fully stocked at the sauce station,etc but no, everything was empty or bone dry. Tried some random stuff! Was excited to try Taco Johns for the first time. Tried out random stuff. Quesadilla- Very cheesy. A bit bland. Chicken grilled- very tasty! Love the spicy sauce in it that gives it a kick. Big Boy burrito- big as it gets! This was a little bland as well, but I used the nacho cheese dip to spice it up and definitely put me in a food coma. Now the reason why I had nacho cheese was because I was going to eat the potato oles with it, but they only gave me the cheese and no potato oles! management needs to learn how to talk to customers. as well they need to make sure they are makeing all the order and not just half of the order. didn't get any food because they where rude and couldn't make the order correctly and get all the items. Today they had to copy off my phone which had several add on I was charged for, but the worker says I don't care about that. Only the food. Well it is all part of the order. We WERE lifetime customers of Taco Johns in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We have always enjoyed anything from a delicious egg & sausage breakfast burrito to one of their taco salads. We have never had an issue with them until tonight. We ordered from Taco Johns 1005 on 1.27.2019 @ 17:52 hrs thru drive-thru. The meat from the tacos, super nachos and burritos were disgusting. The taste was indescribable and the cheese appeared to have been watered down. My young men described the potato ole as a sweat taste. Extremely poor. We ordered over $40 in food only to be left with half the food uneaten and what was consumed left a sour after taste. Furthermore, our order was missing an item or two so we had to go inside the store. A large young man wearing a Trump T-shirt was told by a store manager to leave because she "wasn't having that in her store." The male wearing the shirt left the store without further incident or embarrassment from the stores manager. What has happened to your food, service and employees dedication? Passed 4 Taco Johns today our our road trip and every single one had some issue with like lobby being closed or something. I really wanted taco John before we left them all behind and luckily this one was just right down the street from my hotel. I was so happy. I got the chicken grilled burrito thing and the Mexican donut bites and they were both sooooo yummy. Taco John is a MILLION times better than Taco Bell or really other fast food taco place and I'm sad that I don't have them where I live. June 6, 2014 Friday - dinner 9:00 PM 2 adults and a kid Atmosphere -3 stars Food - 3 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Been a very long drive from Reno and needed something quick. Atmosphere - 9 PM at a fast food restaurant and the place was empty I expect the place to be clean and organized. You guessed it the place was a mess, more of chaos then anything. Every single table was crooked, including the booths. The table near the pop machine had the napkin dispenser empty with the bag that holds them which was empty too. Food Drinks - Skipped this, I could have used a beer. Appetizer - none. My Main Course - Three soft shell tacos, my normal order, and yes I have been to several different Taco John's locations. The tacos were a little light on the fillings. But the real reason to go to Taco John's is for the potato ole's. They are tator tots disc with special seasoning. They were over cooked and not all of them were seasoned. Dessert - none. Service - Greeted right away from the cashier. He was great as my wife was distracted and was able to get the order out of her before she made her phone call. Future - Probably not as I am will not be spending anytime in Cheyenne anytime soon. read more

Absolutely wonderful customer service!!! So nice and order was correct the wait wasn't long and the lines moved very quickly !!

Umm well to start off, the quesadilla was too cheesy and tasted a bit soggy. The hard taco was everything u could have asked for, fresh lettuce, and flavorful beef. The nachos were good, but the chips at the bottom were a little soggy and wet. Fried potato bites were crunchy and salty. Soda was alive and bubbly (good strong flavor)... hospitality and service was great (very nice staff)... cashier delivered the food tray to our table. Comfortable temperature inside the restaurant (approximately 69 degrees). Tables were clean! Sitting booth was not very comfortable (not much soft padding). Bathrooms were not very clean (after all it is a taco restaurant ). Water temperature in bathroom faucet was just right. Although the water pressure was questionable.? Overall 6.85/10 read more

Not good at all. The food tasted old. I had hoped for some fresh potato ole's but they were smooshy greasy and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil or had sat out for a long time. The steak quesadilla was all fat and gristle. The cheese tasted like some weird fake smoke. The guacamole was this weird bright green and flavorless and warm. I have always enjoyed TJ since I was little. I've always liked how they don't use beans as a filler for meat as other fast food Mexican chains do. Taco John has not fulfilled its "company promise" of "generous portions of high quality food" and "clean and efficient restaurants." The taco salad was about a scant cup of iceberg lettuce, nothing like the menu picture which shows lovely dark green lettuce, and the most of the tables in restaurant were dirty. Trash littered the floor. While it's not unexpected for fast food, the cheese was disappointedly velveeta style or American cheese, rather than being real cheese. Some fast food restaurants have finally converted to higher quality cheeses but not this one. For my first time trying Taco Johns, I'm utterly unimpressed. I love TJ's and we don't have one so I was thrilled to find this one. Reality did not match memory. Got a Taco Bravo...small, light on the ingredients. Worst of all was that everything was excessively salted. It was inedible. Tried a different TJ's and it was less salty but still skimpy on the ingredients. I like Taco John's. I'm not totally sure why. Perhaps because it's a regional chain? Anyhow, it usually hits the spot. Especially since I only get to have it once every two or three years when I'm in the Midwest. This location was generally good - clean, good service, I even got a free taco for some reason (?) - but I had to knock it as the potato ole's were EXTREMELY salty. I manned up and ate them but my wife wasn't having it. I went to get her some new ones and those were only SLIGHTLY less salty then the ones before! They put some kind of salt seasoning on it. Last 4 times I've gone my order has been incorrect. This time it was wrong and I got extremely sick from the food.

They got us our food quickly. But the side of ranch was like a teaspoon. To feed 3 people it was almost $30! We could have gotten a pizza for $15-$20 for 3 of us to share including drinks. Also the table was sticky and the cashier was sick. read more

I give this Toco Johns 1 star because I got food and they delivered it to us and the hospitality was alright. There not getting there other 4 stars because we ordered enough food to feed 3 people and it was 27.57 almost 10 a person! Now if we were at Toco Bell it would of been like 20 dollars, yes I know there's taxes in Wyoming. In Idaho we got food for 5 people at Toco bell and it was $40, now I'm guessing $40 there would be like 4 people, story for later.
