Ok Mexican food, quickly delivered. We aren't fans of the table top charge card scanner, where they face the scanner to you and watch as you enter the tip. I will not use this system again, anywhere. I'll leave cash.

07.26.22 - Complimentary Chips, Salsa & Beans

A trip to Cheyenne for the day (without my sister) called for Mexican food. Hacienda Guadalajara looked fun and the food looked delicious. Dining here did not disappoint. The interior is lovely with bright pops of color and a big open dining room. Great for larger parties! Service was great and the food was out shortly after we ordered. You get tons of food and all for an affordable price. Two taco plate. So good and the taco shells weren't soggy like most other Mexican restuarants. In Cheyenne and searching for good Mexican, this is the place to end up at!

This place was delicious!! Passing through town and needed some lunch. Great salsa and beans served with chips. I ordered the espresso burrito with pork, and it was delicious. Full of big chunks of pork with a enchilada sauce to smother it. Friends had beef enchiladas and guacamole tostada. We supplemented it with fried jalapeños, yum. Service was friendly and they were very quick to get your request for extra hot salsa from the kitchen. Now the hot salsa was not too hot but flavor was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

Chicken mole = mole soup. Otherwise drinks good, attentive staff, fun decorations and fair prices. Chips and salsa were fantastic.

Bland Mexican food and was a little pricey. I'm from California and the food just wasn't up to my standards

Very good food. Smothered Burritos are huge. I've never had a bad meal. A restaurant worth visiting.

I now get those same items vegan by telling the server to remove the dairy (cheese and sour cream), and picking sauces which contain no dairy. This on my favorites list in Cheyenne. While the refried beans are cooked with lard, the black beans are vegetarian, as is the rice. It's rare to find a Mexican restaurant that does not have chicken stock in their rice. This is one of the few. I've eaten here for about since this location opened, and the other location since it opened about 3 years ago. While they serve breakfast, they don't open until 11 AM. The dinners I've had here are enjoyable. We really like their mushroom salsa. Yep, mushroom salsa. Their regular salsa is very good. If you want more intense ask for habanero sauce on the side. I appreciate their chip aren't too salty. There barely is salt on them. Too often tortilla chips are way over salted. The are also one of the few place which make Original Margaritas correctly: lime juice, Contreaun, Triple Sec, and Tequila, nothing else other than ice. They have other variation for those who like them, but finding a correctly made Original Margarita is about as rare as finding Mexican Rice without chicken stock.

The service was terrible, and we were the only two customers in the restaurant. The waiter and…read morewaitress barely acknowledged our presence, much less came back to ask if we needed a refill or how our meal was. We ordered enchiladas, and they came with an extremely spicy sauce. I asked if the enchiladas could be remade without the spicy sauce, and I was told no. The chips were cold and soggy. The salsa served with the chips is more of a tomato paste with hardly any other ingredients inside. The neighboring table asked the waitress about the salsa, and her response was, "Well, each chef makes things a little differently." The waitress just shrugged off the complaint and then walked away from their table. The refried beans tasted like they came out of a can, the rice had more white than Spanish in it, and the Barbacoa was beyond salty and not edible. The soup was delicious. I ate here a few months ago, and I thought it was one of the best places in Cheyenne to eat. But now I wouldn't recommend it. The restaurant was clean and pleasantly decorated . The music normally is a mellow, upbeat, religious tune; however, there was more hip-hop-style music playing, and the volume varied from low to high to total silence. Did I mention the service and the food were terrible? I went from recommending this place to not recommending it. I will probably never go there again.
