They have a fully glass wall, though, so you are getting the beautiful sunset this evening. There's lots of seating at what appears to be a fully stock bar. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant where you have to ask for chips and salsa to be brought out, but she did bring them. The salsa had some heat, but not too much. My food- the 4 enchilada meal - came out quickly. After 42 chicken/2 shrimp. The chicken enchiladas were good. The shrimp was undercooked- hated that because you pay extra. I tried the mole and red sauces and I liked the red sauce better. I told my server that I wanted her to remove the $3 upcharge for the shrimp, but her manager insisted on comping half my meal. That did improve my experience and the rest of the meal was fine. Server was ok

What makes this disappointing is how much potential the restaurant has. I genuinely believe that bringing in an experienced chef to rethink a few recipes and elevate the quality of the menu could completely transform this place. The location, design, and ambiance are already there. It's rare to find a restaurant with this much going for it, yet the one thing that should bring people back is what's holding it back. I hope ownership takes the food more seriously because Las Palmas could easily be packed every night with the right kitchen behind it.

We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was super attentive. I ordered the cucumber margarita which I thought was a 10/10. Very refreshing and you could definitely taste the alcohol. I then tried the mango one which was also good but the cucumber one was better. I was bummed to not see cochinita pibil on their menu as I could've sworn I had seen it on another Yelp review. I ended up ordering two tinga tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were good but the rice and beans were just meh. The rice was bland and the beans tasted like frito lay bean dip. Their chips were freshly made which make them taste that much better. Their guacamole and salsa were both super yummy! I recommend both! The ambiance was there especially once the dj showed up and started playing all the jams. I look forward to going back and possibly try something different from their menu. Overall, I recommend trying this place out!

The parking lot was empty walked in and we were greeted right away, would you like a table, booth or a spot at the bar? We chose a booth, but the seating surfaces looked like they had seen better days. Our waitress gave us menus and asked if we'd like to order drinks. For the three of us we ordered up two coronas and a tequila sunrise. We looked over the menu and ordered up our choices, pork enchiladas, chicken fajita and a shrimp cocktail. For a Sunday evening I expected more customers. The bar had six customers and we were the only other customers. The pork enchiladas were fine but just ok. The shrimp cocktail for the price was ok too. The chicken fajita was nice too, but some chicken strips stayed a little too long on the grill. Our waitress was great, she checked in on us several times asking if there was anything else. Dessert how about churros, just plain, sorry can't do it. Ordered flan, nice presentation, good taste. Maybe 7:00 on a Sunday is a off time. We'll have to come back again and try some other choices.

One of the best surprises for anyone with a gluten sensitivity is that all of their happy hour drinks are gluten-free, which immediately took the stress out of ordering from the separate menu. While the menu does not explicitly mark items as gluten-free, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, and we discovered that a great variety of happy hour options can easily be made gluten-free. I kicked things off with the Roja sangria before moving on to the frozen trio. Although the Paloma was not freezing properly at the time, the bartender was wonderfully accommodating and expertly crafted a custom margarita using those delicious Paloma flavors instead. My trio featured the coconut agave margarita, a Paloma made with the classic margarita base in guava passionfruit, and a spicy mango margarita. For food, we started by splitting the dip trio, paired with chips that are safely made in a dedicated fryer. We also ordered tacos on corn tortillas, sampling both the chicken pastor and the traditional carnitas, and every single bite of the food was delicious. Although they do not carry any gluten-free desserts, the server offered the birthday girl one of her choosing. Between the accommodating service and the stellar food and drinks, the entire gathering was a huge success.
