Not real Mexican, but I love this place. Brings back memories. I don't normally eat Fast food but for some reason this is my on the road go to place. The Granbury location is great people are nice and my fast food is HOT . I always eat inside and then get a small to go. What I can't figure out is why I have to pay for my in-store and to go order separately that just seems a little old-fashioned.

Soft taco ($1.99+tax) and side of salsa ($0.49+tax).

I stopped by Taco Casa on my way to Fort Worth. Unfortunately, the dining room was closed since no one wants to work any more, so I had to eat outside. I also needed to use the restroom, but no dice, so I had to go across the street to Race Trac. It really sucks when you are traveling and just want to stop somewhere nice like Taco Casa to get a bite to eat and sit own and relax for a bit. The food was good usual. I had a soft taco ($1.99+tax) and side of salsa ($0.49+tax). I prefer their salsa over the hot sauce packets since the hot sauce is too spicy for me. As usual, the taco was stuffed with copious amounts of meat, lettuce, and cheese. Taco Casa is my favorite Tex-Mex fast food place, followed by Taco Bueno. I don't even bother with Taco Bell when I can go to Taco Casa or Taco Bueno.

    Chilada Smothered Burrito-Yum!

My first time to eat at a Taco Casa bc I always thought they were the poor man's Taco Bell. I was wrong. My hubby said he ate there before we met and he liked it. We ordered the chilada, a cheesy smothered burrito, a super burrito, and a super nachos with toppings on the side. It was great! One reason why Taco Casa is better than Taco Bell in 3 words..."Cup o' Cheese" We asked for the toppings on the side for the Super Nachos and got liquid gold in a cup. This avoids soggy nachos by the time we get home and you can control your amount of cheese. (Only half the cup is really needed) Funny thing is I can't understand why the Taco Lite is 470 calories and the Super Taco is 380 calories. Smothered burrito was delicious and just the right cheesiness. Can't believe I didn't give this place a chance years ago. Next time I'll try their hard taco and pink lemonade. Will be back!

I've been to plenty of Taco Casa locations and this location in Granbury is by far the cleanest and the food is consistently good. They NEVER skimp on the cheese and the meat ratio in the tacos is ABOVE average ratio to the rabbit veg!

Taco Casa is so good, so fresh. Not a taco bell type of food. Prices are ok. Hard working bunch at this location.

Found some real Mex Mex tacos in Aubrey!…read more My wife heard good things about Taqueria Don Juan from the Ladies of Little Elm Facebook group and she had seen good tacos catered at public park events in Little Elm from the same people, so I wanted to give this place a try. First off for some reason Google lists this place as "permanently closed" as of 7/19/2016 but this is incorrect! As far as the place, the exterior is unassuming but fitting with an old Texas smokehouse sort of look. The interior decor was bright and clean. The setting is relaxed and quiet. Regarding the food, the red salsa was very hot, as hot as I recall a Mex restaurant ever having their salsa. The green salsa was a less hot choice and both tasted good. So if super hot homemade salsa is your thing or good green homemade salsa is your thing, consider this place. The tacos and gorditas were both good and when "queso" is listed this is real Mexican queso fresca! I had a gordita with rajas filling (chili / tomato / onions all grilled together with real Mexican cheese) which was really good. The fajita and chicken taco filling were both good. I preferred the gorditas over the tacos which I guess reminded me of the empanadas and papusas from further cuisine further south of the boarder. Everyone who I was with enjoyed their food as well. There were adequate vegetarian choices as well with the huevos, been and cheese, and rajas. The chips were just okay and the water is by the bottle and all and all this is a no frills family place. If Taqueria Don Juan costs what a typical Mex restaurant does in the area I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. However here you can get a real Mex meal for Taco Bell prices that is true Mexican food just like being south of the boarder (no canned "nacho sauce" aqui). For these reasons I give Taqueria Don Juan 5 stars.
