Incredibly friendly staff and they're patient when explaining the menu to someone like myself who isn't Spanish-speaking. The food is exceptional. I went with the quesabirria tacos and chorizo tacos. Both were outstanding and made to order. I really like the chorizo being grilled, really gives it a nice smoky taste. Terrific flavor without being too spicy. If you desire extra spice, they have some tasty sauces you can use to add that extra zing. My wife went for the steak quesadilla and pastor taco. I had a bite of each and will probably get those myself next time. Pricing is really fair, we spent $21 for six tacos and a quesadilla. If you see this food truck, try it. You will not be disappointed.

First he said, "Look at the menu!", but the menu just said "Tamales", not the kind. I had already seen that, so I was really trying to ask if they had green chile chicken tamales. Before I could ask, he abruptly left me standing there at the pick up window and went to serve sometime else, making me have to wait for him to serve them to ask my question. Then, when I again got a chance to speak to him, he says, "Only on Fridays and Saturdays!" I could clearly read that, so I was pushed to say that I was only inquiring for a future purchase. That'll never happen now.

Safe to say... she knew exactly what was about to happen. First bite in and it was game over. We looked at each other mid-chew like, ohhh man... this is amazing. The steak is slow-cooked to perfection -- ridiculously tender, juicy, and packed with deep, rich flavor in every bite. You can tell it's made with care. And don't even get me started on the rice and beans -- not an afterthought at all. They're seasoned so well, full of flavor on their own, and they complement the birria perfectly. Then you hit it with that squeeze of lime and dip into the consommé... next level. Absolute perfection. I've lived in Dade City my whole life, and I'm telling you right now -- we finally have a taco that's 100% worth the drive. No question. If you're even thinking about trying it... go. You won't regret it. Word of advice: get there early -- items sell out fast!

We both ordered sopes which was our fave here. I ordered one, and my husband ordered the sopes platter with two sopes, rice, & beans, I took his beans with my single sopes. This time the steak tasted different and the flavor wasn't all there. It was ok but definitely have had better ones now. They use to include guacamole too. That's long gone. We ordered a horchata and pineapple agua frescas. Of course these are more expensive and much smaller now. Service was ok but difficult to locate our server. It wasn't too busy either bc it was early in the week. Not sure if we will be back here much. Now I still want more sopes bc this one didn't fill my taste buds for it. Ambiance was loud and echoey with two parties. With a full house, wow bring your headphones bc it will be super intensely loud in case you have sensitive ears like me.

The menu is somewhat limited with a number of items taped over on the menu board, so not sure what those will be. But they have a number of good tacos and burritos. They have all the standard meats and even marinated pork (pastor). The tacos are small so the average person would need 2-3 to fill them up. The burritos are bigger, but also about three times the price of a single taco. The food is fresh and I enjoyed all the various flavors they loaded in. They offer red and green sauces on the side. I also tried the beans (side) which are light brown in their juice, but not refried. Drinks are limited with bottled water, Mexican Coca-Cola in a small bottle and a couple Mexican flavored sodas. No refills. They offer dine-in with about eight tables for 2-4 people. You order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready (mine took about 10 minutes). Definitely not big enough for large parties. Outside there are some tables with umbrellas. I enjoyed walking around the Krate to see all the mural art along with the new shops and restaurants that officially GRAND open on June 4th. Check this new entertainment venue out. They will have music on a stage in the park on the weekends. It is a bit hot during the summer, so preferred time is after sunset.

My friends and I would stop in almost every week. Those meals became part of my routine and part of my memories growing up. Realizing it has been more than thirty years since those first visits makes it even more meaningful to see the restaurant still open today. I am sure the family behind it had been serving the community long before I ever moved to Dade City in the late 80s. The fact that they are still here after so many decades says everything about their dedication and the quality of what they serve. Some reviewers talk about a lack of spices, but that was never my experience. Little Mexico always delivered real flavor and real consistency. They never needed to rely on anything flashy. They simply cooked good food and stood by their recipes. If a restaurant can maintain a positive reputation across generations, it means they earned it. I truly hope the family is doing well. Seeing them still succeed after all these years brings back memories and emotion I was not expecting. It feels like a piece of my childhood is still standing strong.
