    Chicken taco

Overall the burrito and taco was good , wish the burrito had little more "POP" to the burrito with some flavor, the chicken taco was good, probably can use lil oiled up tortillas to give it that extra flavor also. Black beans were good and the rice . Service was nice, inside was clean .

Tacos were fresh. Everything made from scratch. Horchata was really good: not too sweet or too milky. Loved the outdoor seating available! Staff were really friendly. The area inside was very clean. Each taco is sold individually including the Super Taco. Was a bit confused by that when food came out. Chips for salsa and Guac were not too crispy or too thick!

Fresh and flavorful! The buffalo shrimp taco was perfectly seasoned, the cucumber salad had just enough kick from the lime, and the service was warm and friendly. Definitely my new go-to for Mexican food!

    Supposed to be carnitas.

The customer service and the food. I received food that was not appetizing at all. The food was not hot and had no flavor, when asked for salt and pepper, they mentioned they did not have any pepper. The carnitas tasted like dish water. I will never come back.

I'd heard great things about this place for A WHILE. Actually drove out of my way to try them. Man! Was I disappointed. Interior / Exterior Interior is tiny - VERY limited seating. Parking is limited as well. The parking is shared by Jamaica Mi Krazy, Pa-Pa Ray's Lousiana Kitchen, Peach State Insurance, Nimbus Smoke & Vape and iRepair IT. You can turn on Bell Drive and park behind the building - or you can drive past the building and take a quick hard right turn into the parking lot next to them. *If you know where Panda Express, Aldi's, QuickTrip and McDonald's are on Spring Rd - they are less than 1/16th of a mile from that Spring Rd / Cumberland Blvd intersection. Customer Service I waited for my order. The cashier was friendly and upbeat - as long as you were male. Not joking. Even when I went out of my way to be friendly and told her it was my first time - she was a cold as ice. But when any dudes came in - she was grinning and tossing her ponytail for everything it was worth. Not gonna lie - at first, I thought it might be a race thing - because there were a few Hispanic customers in front of me and a group of white guys after me and she was so friendly you would've thought she was filming a commercial. BUT - she was cold as ice to a Caucasian, blonde female customer after that and then friendly as pie to black, male customer right after. Food I ordered - Naked Al Pastor (Pork & Pineapple) - add lettuce & tomato - flour instead of corn tortilla Naked Pollo (Grilled Chicken) - add lettuce & tomato - flour instead of corn tortilla Naked Chicken Tinga (Chipotle Shredded Chicken) - add lettuce & tomato - flour instead of corn tortilla Super Taco - Fried Chicken, chile de arbol, coleslaw, cotija cheese, flour tortilla Super Taco - Chipotle Salmon, pico de gallo, lime coleslaw, flour tortilla Nutshell version - everything was beautiful - but bland. I couldn't believe it. Value I paid over $25 - and I even tipped - despite the robotic, unfriendly service - for 5 teeny, tiny street tacos. Oh - I almost forgot - I went back up to the register after cashier waited on two more groups and asked for a side of sour cream. She told me it was $1.25 but when she presented me with one thimble sized container of sour cream (not even enough for one taco ) - I declined. I saw a post where someone said they were very affordable - so maybe I got overcharged. I don't know. I went the website to confirm - but their website doesn't list prices. My lettuce & tomato add on certainly increased my naked taco prices - and there must have have been an upcharge from switching from corn to flour tortilla tacos as well - but $5 for a street taco sized taco - sorry. Overall Overall - this is food for TikTok or Instagram. Very pretty. And it's probably healthy as well. And it get it - this is Vinings - or Vinings adjacent - so they probably pay an arm & leg for this space - but these portions are tiny. The food is not flavorful and the service was not friendly. Hard pass. And for all fans of this place - warning in advance - stay out of my in-box. Let's not start a war. We are all entitled to our opinions. Let's not delve deeply into followings and views. Best!

This place was pretty busy during the lunch hour so I would suggest to call in or place an order online. The pick up process was simple. The team was friendly for the short interaction I encountered. The food was fresh and generous in size. This was my first time visiting. I ordered a shrimp burrito bowl. There honestly wasn't anything magical or different about this place. I enjoy authentic Mexican and this place reminds me of Tex-Mex food. If this is your vibe go for it. I think this is a one and done for me.

This place is def worth a visit: good food at a good price. It was the torta that sold it for me. The hubs had the cantina special while I opted for the chipotle asada torta. Oh. And they only sell bottled water, but it was like $0.24 for the bottle. His three (street) tacos (carne asada, al pastor, chicken tinga) were small but pretty filling: corn tortilla & double wrapped. These regular tacos were only $1.88 apiece if bought separately. The tacos were so so imo. There wasn't much of a flavor profile. The carne asada and al pastor were more flavorful compared to the chicken. The addition of the Bri's (white) rice and black beans made it more filling. The rice was simple, but it was pretty tasty with its salt seasoning. My torta was super filling, flavorful, and the ultimate sandwich. The house fried chips had a nice crunch with the different sauces at the station. My only complaint is that it was super messy to consume. I think you taste more sauce with this torta than anything else: There was the guacamole, lime crema, and white American cheese that probably melted. The steak was present within all this and was well seasoned and coated with all the sauces. This place is fast casual. It reminded me of taco joints that are popular but connected to gas stations. I don't know why Taco Cantina gave me this vibe. Though the interior was small, it had plenty of seating options. There was also a good number of people who did the take-out option.

Had a great late lunch visit to the Cantina on this Thursday afternoon. Not sure how crowded it gets during normal (11am-1pm) lunch hours, but at nearly 3pm...there was no wait and I had free reign to sit inside or outside. Parking: Good amount of parking. There is access from a light or straight from the road. Lot is smaller than most, so I wouldn't bring a chartered bus. Dining: Your choice of inside or out. There are a couple of outside tables for dining on a perfect weather day. This place might be a problem for larger parties of 10 or more, but is just fine for 4-5'rs. They also have a topping bar for you to dress up your chips or entree. Everything from Salsas to onions. Service: Walk on up to the counter and order what ya like from the menu above the cashier. Some print on the menu is smaller than others, so bring the glasses if you have trouble seeing 10-20 ft away. Clean up: When you're done (depending on how busy they are), they'll pick up your tray for you. It stays pretty clean in here. Great choice for some latin favorites (chorizo, queso, nachos, tacos, enchiladas, etc). I really enjoyed my chicken burrito (with the sour cream inside).

The Hispanic / Latino population in Cobb County is the second largest in Georgia according to the 2020 Census. Smyrna, Georgia has a prosperous Mexican food scene and you will find some really good tacos spots such as " Tequeria El Guero" "Tacos La Villa , "Birria El Gordo" to name a few. So when one of my favorite go to spots, Tacos La Villa is temporarily closed due to a kitchen fire, I went to the current business that is catering to the old customers that have nowhere to go near by. I went into Mi Cantina with high expectations since they are in the Mexican / Latino side of town, but, I was disappointed by the non-authentic Mexican food that I ate. I had two steak tacos and a El pastor. The tacos were a 2 of 5, but in a constructive criticism critique, the rice and beans are no bueno. Sorry if this offended anyone. Steam white rice and blacks beans are not what you would find in Southern California, Texas or Tijuana as your side. I honestly advocate that we petition the owner to do a little bit of research and update their rice and beans recipe to honor Mexican food traditions. 3 star - SERVICE 1 star - FOOD 5 - Ambiance -------- 9 of 15 points / Grade C / 60%

I didn't like the potato and meat ball. I ordered a rice and beans bowl with pork. The rice and beans were really good. For dessert we ordered the flancocho. We didn't really need it since the restaurant was pretty empty, but we were a bigger group and didn't want to risk it. The hostess didn't confirm our reservation until about 10 mins prior, which was quite concerning, but everything worked out at the end anyway. Our server was wonderful! It was our first time here and he explained their background and what his favorites were on the menu. We for sure wanted to try the paella, so went ahead and ordered that first, with the carretillero ceviche, mixed empanadas (chicken and beef) and patatas bravos to start. The ceviche was delicious and fresh. Loved the fried calamari and all the toppings it was served with. The empanadas were also delicious and was served with a very spicy sauce! The patatas braves had a nice, smoky flavor. Now for entree, I ordered the veggie chaufa. Our server may have been a little biased as he preferred the Peruvian side of the menu, more so than the Cuban side. My dish was easily good for 2-3 people. It had tons of veggies and scrambled egg, plus served with a side of fried plantains. Our group ordered a bunch of other dishes and tried some of them. The churrasco steak was a little chewy but loved the chimichurri it was served with. The parrillada de mariscos was so good too, and my personal fave was the grilled octopus! Personally, I would opt for this instead of the valenciana paella. You essentially get the same types of seafood. I love that we got to dine at this hidden gem! We truly enjoyed our experience and will be back for sure.

Since my good friend is visiting Atlanta from Washington D.C we decided to bring her here and for us to try this restaurant. Natalia greeted us at the entrance and took us to our table right away. The restaurant is simply beautiful and I who am a huge fan of Frida Kahlo loved the big portrait of hers at the main entrance. I must say Natalia was simply AMAZING!. She recommended some plates that are mostly famous by customers as well as some of her favorite ones. We ordered the Simmered Sunset drink that has Mezcal and it was sooo smoky and delicious, I just wished it tasted more like Guava though. I ordered the Carne Asada and 8 hour Brisket Tacos with a side of Black beans and white rice. The tacos were phenomenal in taste however I must say the black beans/rice combination though it didn't lack flavor, it was a bit salty. I feel like the cook put too much salt in either which perhaps they should be mindful of it. Also, I must also confess the music choices though it was classic Motown music didn't go much with the restaurant ambience and to my own personal preference was a bit too loud. I mentioned that to my partner and my friend several times so maybe they should be more mindful of the music volume and also music choices. We spoke to the manager before leaving to give him our feedback about Natalia who was the epitome of amazing customer service and what a waitress ought to be and he was very nice and approachable. We shall be back perhaps for Brunch and maybe next time around the experience will be even better!!!

We've talked about going to Mojave forever -- always "next weekend"... and then next weekend would come and go. But this time? The perfect occasion finally arrived. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt inviting and lively -- the kind of place that instantly puts you in a celebratory mood. Now let's talk about the service -- because it was truly above and beyond. Our server, Natalia, completely impressed me with her attentiveness and communication. My partner ordered two tacos and she asked what kind of tortilla he preferred. "Flour," he said. I jokingly chimed in, "Boring!" When she asked what I wanted, I said I wanted two different flavored tacos -- and she didn't even ask what kind of tortilla. When my dish arrived, I was SO excited -- she brought mine on corn tortillas without me having to say a word. She picked up on my energy and preference just from that playful moment. That attention to detail made the experience feel personal and memorable. I even spoke to the manager, Joel, to share how impressed I was. His response? He wasn't surprised at all -- which says everything about the standard they hold there. That made me love the place even more. A couple quick notes: the music was a bit loud, and sadly they didn't have masitas de cerdo (one of my absolute favorites -- I was heartbroken for a second!). But honestly, the service and overall vibe more than made up for it. We're already looking forward to our next visit -- and this time, we're not waiting until "next weekend."

As a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami and married to a Cuban man, I am happy to report that Cuban Diner is the real deal. This is authentic Cuban food that is as good as the Cuban food easily found all over Miami. We started with croquetas and mariquitas. I ordered the bistec empanizado, hubby ordered the vaca frita, my son ordered the ropa vieja, my MIL orders the palomilla, and my FIL ordered a papa rellena and tamal along with a natural guava juice. We all shared bites of our plates with each other and everyone agreed that everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the vaca frita, so I stole a good bit from hubby and I also loved my FIL's guava juice. Service was good, but we got there shortly after opening so we had the place to ourselves. We noticed as it got busier, service definitely slowed considerably, but there was only one server for the whole place and one more handling to go orders. The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!

Parking is not validated by the restaurant but there is a deck nearby with ample parking. Even from the outside, the restaurant is a vibe. It's got an indoor/outdoor thing going on which makes you feel like you've been transported abroad. It also means that it doesn't retain air conditioning... and they had a few industrial fans blowing. Great idea in theory but not so great in practice. The table where we were seated was uncomfortably close to other diners and felt cramped the entire time. We ordered three dishes to share and there was barely any room on the table. On the plus side, our server was lovely and took the time to ask us about our familiarity with Peruvian food and outline some standouts on the menu. I didn't mention this to him but the menu online doesn't seem to match what they had in person... for example I remember seeing a Colombian empanada option (which drew me there in the first place) on the website. Cocktails and food came out really fast. We had the ceviche mixto, octopus, and chaufa for food and I had the mango jungle water to drink. The prices were pretty high for the portion size of the food. The ingredients tasted fresh (the fish of the day was mahi mahi) and the flavor was there. The octopus had nice char but wasn't as tender as I would have liked. I'm not a big eater so these three dishes were enough for the two of us and we opted to go to the Asian bakery next door for dessert instead of getting something here. Honestly I would recommend Tio Lucho's hands down for ceviche and Peruvian cuisine. It was fun to try something new and different at Madre Selva but I just don't think the food measures up. Tio Lucho's is much closer to the Peruvian food that I know from my time living in Miami. I can't speak to the authenticity beyond that. Madre Selva did seem like it would be a lot of fun for a large group and/or when the weather is tolerable. The ambiance is incredible. On a related note... I don't think I've been down to the Lindbergh MARTA station since college and I was totally floored to see all of the restaurants and developments in the area (Tongue and Groove is still a thing?!). The benefit of going to Madre Selva is that you can take a stroll and visit some of the other nearby businesses as well.
