Taco Bell food is pretty standard across the chain - customers know what to expect when they're ordering. The food itself doesn't disappoint especially when one is hungry and needs something filling. The chicken quesadilla and crunch wrap have good flavor. The only thing about this location is they tend to prioritize online/app orders as well as drive thru first before in-person orders. It took 10 minutes before someone came to the counter after I pressed the button for an in-person interaction on the kiosk and then another 20 minutes before my order was filled because they addressed customers at the window as well as the app orders which were placed on the shelf. What I thought would be a quick trip was not in fact quick. So to be more efficient, I would use the app, attempt to get the Tuesday drop, and pick up at the drive thru. Why do I bother? I keep forgetting how horrible this location is. Was there with my husband. You can only order from a kiosk. We ordered the retro menu items. The tostado had a small scoop of beans in the middle, lettuce, cheese and maybe a quarter teaspoon of red sauce. Had to flatten that out with a knife at home to spread the beans. The gordito supreme was on a regular soft tacos shell so it was basically a taco supreme and the meximelt wasn't melted, it looked and tasted like a beef soft tacos with no lettuce, substitute tomato. Could not have been disappointed more. No interaction with the staff due to the way we had to order. read more

Even under busy overwhelmed stressful weekend nights, lined up they never ever sounded overwhelmed, irritated or burdened etc like sometimes that type of experience can cause employees....gotta give em a hand for that! Easy parking. Moderately clean location. The staff are super confused at this location. We ordered using their new kiosk, and at the end it gives the option to print, text, or email your receipt. Since my phone battery was about to die, I thought it would be best if they printed my order so I can compare what they would give me to what I ordered since I had a lot of food. The printout never came out, so I asked the employee if they could help me. The first employee said there's no print out. I asked how will I know what I ordered, and her response is you won't. I asked how will I know if they give me the correct food, her response was you won't. I then asked a second employee if she could tell me what I ordered. She went in the back and told me that I ordered 21 items. I asked her if she could tell me if my order will be correct or not if there's no information to verify with. She said she would try to help, but she was leaving due to her shift ending. I asked her why doesn't the print function work on the kiosk, and she said it never works and everybody has the same problem. I said why don't you put a sign up that says do not select the print option. She said management will not let her put a sign up. She said she's asked numerous times, but they refuse to let customers know that there will be no printed receipt. They are also an able to print one out from the cash register if the order was made at the kiosk. This all seems like a disaster to me. Once our food came out we got only part of the order, which then they had to figure out what was missed and to provide us the rest of our food. read more

They would've had a three star rating for the amount of times I've had okay food, to the times I've had crappy/mistaken orders, but this last time was a bit ridiculous. Ordered my food, and took it to work. I go out of my way to frequent this location as the other two around me are 1) More expensive (GO FIGURE THAT OUT), or 2) have crappy service and ALWAYS mess up my order, no matter how simple. That being said, This review was spurred by the lack of attention brought to the food in which they're supposed to take pride in. It's not hard to make a taco,.. any person can do it. Especially when you have pre-made items such as shells/ground beef/salsa. What I fail to understand is how the crew at this specific location doesn't know how to fill a damn shell. Multiple times I've ordered a basic taco combo pack, and I've gotten 3/4 shell to 1/4th filling. It's a bit redundant to even order it, I'd be better off just buying shells from Kroger and eating those,. and probably have a less stale tasting shell. Now, I get that some of you might be thinking "Why do you continue to go back then",.. and the simple answer is this, I work midnights and these are the only places that are open around me. I stress one thing ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE PULLING AWAY. Every single time I've come here they have forgotten 1 thing or half my items! Plan on ALWAYS sitting in the DRIVE-THRU for 25 minutes. They NEVER get it right. This location is never consistent. But...for the most part the food is always on point. However, today every single one of my items was COLD. Maybe it's because I had to sit in a long line of cars TWICE because ONCE again they forgot something I paid for. Always the same line "So sorry have a great day". Really hope you guys can get your shit together. Won't be back for awhile. I'd rather deal with the idiots at the Beck Rd location. I would avoid this location. The employees were out sitting in a car together and said their system was down so all the people pulling in couldn't order. They had their headset on in the car telling people that. Everything seemed to be lite up and the screens looked like they worked as well. This location has continued to decline in service. I used to go to this Taco Bell on the regular. But, I had a really bad experience, and probably won't return (unless I'm really craving it). This situation happened a month or so ago ... but the world needs to hear: A friend and I went to Taco Bell around 12:30 am because we were craving some quesadillas and crunchy tacos. We ordered our food and specifically asked for Mild sauce and then drove up to the window. We payed and a man handed us a bag of food and we drove off. About 10 minutes into our drive home, we realized that the food we received was NOT what we ordered. We were given a burrito, nachos and some other random junk that looked disgusting. And no mild sauce whatsoever. I was furious. I called the manager right away and she ASSURED me that I could return ANY TIME and get what I ordered free of charge. She specified that I would just need to say that I talked to a manager and I would receive my food. So... about a week goes by. I decided it was time to go back to Taco Bell and get my past-due late night meal. I called when I arrived and the conversation went as follows: "Hello, may I speak to a manager?" "Why?" "I'm calling about a mistake that was made a week ago." "What happened?" "I received the wrong meal and I was told by a manager that I could come back at any time and get the correct meal free of charge." "What was the managers name?" "I'm not sure. I don't think she told me it." "Do you have a receipt?" "No." "M'am, we cannot help you with this. I'm sorry." "Are you serious? I talked to your manager on the phone. She assured me that I could come back at ANY TIME and get my meal. I just drove all the way here and I'm sitting in the parking lot and I want my meal." "I'm sorry m'am, but we can't do that." Whenever I visit a drive through restaurant, I alway worry that they will leave something out of a more complex order, but this Taco Bell is always on point, and never forgets an item. This Taco Bell, located just off I-96, is pretty convenient when you are hungry on your drive between East Lansing and Detroit. Unfortunately, it would seem their chicken supplier doesn't de-bone the chicken very well, since I have on TWO separate occasions found 1-inch chicken bone fragments in my chicken burrito. For that reason, I've stopped visiting when I'm in the area. Additionally, they are stingy with the sauce packets. I guess this proves that saving a penny sometimes costs a dollar? read more
