You order at a kiosk in the center of the food court and then wait for your food at the counter. I ordered the Doritos tacos and they were the saddest tacos ever. Each one had a crumbling shell with a barely noticeable smidgen of meat. Her burrito was slightly better, but not by much. What little interaction we had with the staff wasn't impressive either. They didn't seem happy to be there. One and a half stars, rounded down because the more I think about those tacos the more disappointed I get. read more

A great pit stop while charging the Tesla and taking the dog for a walk. Friendly, quick service. Food was warm and well-wrapped. The chipotle chicken roll up was small but tasted good. The salsa verde burrito rice was very well cooked and the flour tortilla was nicely grilled and tasted fresh. The vegetable salsa was a nice addition to a Taco Bell burrito. read more

If it were Zappo Bell, it's sell lighters. Thankfully, it's not. But that's where the good news ends. This is part of Iowa 80 - proudly advertised as the largest truck stop in the world. And I'm not boasting about myself when I say that. They have pretty much every fast-food you can imagine - but nothing really genuinely good. Stopped at this Taco Bell around 9:30am. Many of the other restaurants were not open to serve lunch so I had to get breakfast. I was surprised that they had coffee so I decided to give it a try. Turns out they had some knock off Keurig machine. I told the cashier I only wanted to cream and no sugar. I watched her add vanilla cream to my coffee. I knew there was sugar and since I'm not a diabetic and I figured it would help, I didn't try to stop her. Then when she put the lid on she didn't get it on all the way. She spilled a fair amount of coffee and made no attempt to clean up the spill. I actually cleaned it up. Too her credit she burned her fingers trying to make the coffee with the fake Keurig machine. Surprisingly the coffee wasn't terrible. None of us enjoyed the breakfast quesadilla. Maybe they should try Mexican doughnuts. read more

I liked that they had a veggie menu so you didn't have wade though so much. service was fast. It is a fun environment and unique.

A CHALUPA PER DAY KEEPS HUNGER AT BAY It's a T-Bell inside the food court of world's largest truck stop, so don't expect a life changing lunch experience. After pausing to stretch my legs at the I-80 megaplex, I briefly pondered eating at one of their (3?) sit-down restaurants before realizing I had a lot more ground to cover on my road trip to Des Moines. The shortest line was for good ol' Tzaco Bzell, and so my decision was made. I tried one of the naked chicken chalupas (the "wild" variety) and found it tasty. I also got my standard 3x doritos locos fiery supreme tacos, and they too hit the spot. The workers were speedy and fairly friendly, considering the locale. The soda fountain is shared with a myriad of other places in the food court, which means you've got a TON more choices than just the Taco Bell dispenser. Not sure why people be hatin' so much on these guys......did y'all expect a Michelin-starred meal? C'mon now. read more

I love that there is a Taco Bell at Iowa 80. It makes it really easy to pull in and grab something and go. I stoped here for breakfast I ordered my usual California Crunchwrap. I noticed something was different and realized there was some sort of spicy sauce added to it. I looked up the ingredients on the Taco Bell website and noticed that this spicy sauce wasn't supposed to be on it. I didn't take it back but I didn't finish it either. It's ok, maybe it was just a small mistake. The other thing is that when I got to the counter the 2 employees were talking about one possibly being drunk. The girl said she very well could be. They finished the conversation and then asked what I would like. It was weird. I don't care what people do on their free time, it's non of my business but at least be a little bit more discreet at work. read more

While on the road, a few of my friends and I decided to stop at the world's largest truck stop for lunch. It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, and I opted for the shorter Taco Bell line. The menu contained all the usual Taco Bell menu items (7 layer burritos, crunch wrap supremes) and the drink fountain has the signature Mountain Dew Baja Blast, as well as the new Sangrita Blast. I noticed they did not have newer items, notably the Grilled Stuft Nacho. The service was fast and friendly, and I made my way though the line quickly. I ordered a steak quesarito and crunch wrap supreme. The food came quick, and I could see them making my order fresh behind the counter. The first bite of the quesarito was all tortilla, which was disappointing. Once I got into the meat of it, I found a nice balance of cheese, rice, and steak. The different Taco Bell sauces complimented the different flavors in the quesarito well, I personally found the mild to have the nicest taste. The crunch wrap supreme is a classic. With a perfect balance of lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese, and beef, it ranks among one of my favorite fast food items. Though this particular wrap had an uncharacteristically sparse amount of meat, the flavors still melted well together. Towards the end, I was getting mostly cheese, but overall it was a quality crunch wrap experience. All in all, this was a very filling and satisfying meal. It was not a perfect Taco Bell experience, but I suppose I get spoiled with my nearly flawless local Taco Bell restaurant. This location is great for fans of the classic Taco Bell menu who are looking for some Doritos Locos tacos and a Baja Blast while on the road. read more

Two stars for certain employees who carry around walkie talkies and turn the volume up. Are these persons trying to show off. It's exactly like being forced to listen to someone talking loudly on their cell phone. Everyone within 30 feet is forced to listen while they eat. The persons involved are young enough to have good hearing. That's what leads me to believe they're just trying to show off their toys that make them feel like they have power and authority. BTW the Taco Bell food and service went well. read more

We stopped for an evening meal. The $1.00 Craver menu advertised by Taco-Bell is actually $1.49 Craver menu at the Walcott, Iowa, Taco-Bell. I ordered the bean and rice burrito...YUK! It was all refried beans with dried out cheese. (The Davenport, Iowa, Taco-Bell is a 5 star - food is tastier). I also had the mini-beefy quesadia and it was a piece of slop wrapped in aluminum foil. My hubby had the 3 taco combo and they were passable. We'll pass on this particular Taco-Bell in the future. read more

Every time I go to this taco bell I always end up with the cashier named Kayla. She is by far the worst employee there. Everyone else is so nice and sweet but with her dirty looks and attitude makes me wanna see her fired!!! Please get the job done! It wouldn't kill to smile a little. read more
