Went in to Taco Bell today around 2pm and the staff was so nice and hard working. I was greeted as soon as I came into the store and we got our food very fast. The taco was so cheesy and yummy I love this Taco Bell I want to eat here everyday now, never gotten such good service at a Taco Bell. All of the workers who were working deserve a raise. I love you Taco Bell

Wow the staff was out of this world! So kind and considerate to our needs. Definitely cheaper than d20 up the street!

    Hazard

The hours are wrong the food was going to be bad but to not even get decent service or be able to use technology to order up to close makes not sense. No drive thru etc this store fail all ambience and would do volume if they had better management or night crew Marco would have likely given me service but seems to be playing games at close to finish his night. The chairs up early is a hazard etc I'm very disappointed in my experience at this store

My $5 "beef" taco. This is the third time this has happened to me at this location. Someone in the back has gotta lay off the weed or give it to me. Minus two stars. Other three stay because the bread itself was still delectable.

Avocado ranch, not Frank's Red Hot

I ordered on the tacobell mobile app, my friend who ordered 5 minutes after me and had a larger order got theirs first. I saw countless huge orders be handed out while I only had 2 small items. I waited 30 minutes, I got the wrong item (avocado ranch crispy chicken soft taco) and then called the store. They told me they couldn't do anything about it even though I've had this issue before with countless fast food establishments and they've just wrote my name down and remade it for me. The employees made my order wrong, my receipt says a different thing (Frank's Red Hot crispy chicken soft taco) than what I got in the bag. After I called the official customer support number online and it wasn't operating at that time. Real good job. Dont use the mobile app it'll get pushed back behind EVERY single other type of order, expect a 30 minute long wait, check your bag. They dont even know what they're making. Dissapointment is an understatement, this location is a disgrace to the Taco Bell name. My hometown location would NEVER do this. I am a very hungry college student, and I am still hungry. Do not come at night, it turns from Taco Bell into Taco Hell.

I read somewhere that they're discontinuing the Mexican Pizza which was my favorite when I was a teenager. It's been awhile since I tried it, and so I decided to buy it to see if it was the same as I remembered it to be. Wow, how memories and taste buds change. This thing is cheap and salty. Maybe that's what I wanted when I was younger, but now I find it to be something in between airline food and something someone would make if they had no idea how to cook. It was hot, and they did make it according to the recipes so 3 stars for that, but when they discontinue it I won't be too sad.

Near the bar area where we went was the most amount of Hawaiian Sun beverages I have ever seen, cases and cases stacked on each other. For some reason the menu was confusing and hard to figure out, I think its because it was so large and so much variety. Tuna Poke Bowl: Shoyu marinated ahi tuna, sweet onion, green onion, Hawaiian kalua pork. Comes with Pono furikake seasoned rice, seaweed salad, edamame and pickled ginger. Got this for my parents and they devoured it, it interestingly comes with their Kalua Pork which is excellent. Loco Moco: Two scoops rice, two grass-fed beef patties, two eggs your style and 'ono brown gravy served with macaroni salad and house-made Kim Chee! My wifes favorite and she loved their take on it, the beef was nice and savory and the gravy was perfect. BBQ Combo: Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki and Kal-bi Ribs with Pono brand furikake seasoned rice, house-made kim chee, mac salad. For the kids, very upleveled hawaiian BBQ. Fried Fish Taco: I want to call this out because it was so good! The fish was tender and the breading was super crispy, I got the Kahlua Pork taco as well but liked this one a lot more.

Nothing fancy or cutting edge here. But imo these are the kind of old school seaside joints that many inland seafood places try to recreate. This is the actual model places like Red Lobster, the now defunct Fish Market and Market Broiler bases their businesses on. *food for thought* Crab Cakes ($16/4*) Served with pickled onions and remoulade right on top. At first I thought the crab cakes were too bready, like a decent amount of bread crumbs in the crab mix to bind it. The texture was very smooth and more paste-y than crab shreds in texture. So my first initial bites I was ready to start not liking the dish. But after the 3rd/4th bites I realized that it wasn't all that bad and that most crab cakes are made in this fashion more than not. Unless you go to a hella expensive resto where they can use lump meat without hezzy. The crab flavor was indeed there, and the seasoning was spot on. And the mushy texture was really helped by the pickled onions which gave each bite a brightness and crunch. I think ALL crab cakes should be served with pickled onions. Yet I hardly ever see it. Great move on their part. Grilled Halibut ($30/4*) I chose this simple prep cuz I love local fresh seafood done simply so I can appreciate the freshness of the fish. It was grilled ok over coals but did get a bit dry as halibut is so lean, kinda like grilling pork chops. I think they should baste the fish with some oil/butter while it is grilling. It keeps the fish moist during that dry method of grilling. They do offer like 8 sauces to choose from to pair with your fish. I chose a Picatta sauce that was butter, garlic , parsley, lemon and capers. And theirs was light and fresh and when poured over the grilled fish just totally absorbed into that fresh halibut. I even sensed a bit of anchovy umami in that sauce which I found very effective. Had a glass of Chardonnay with the food which was very complementary. Then finished with an Irish Coffee as I was too full to eat anything else. I should have called out for Jamesons whiskey tho, as I think I got their well version. Not as smooth as Jamesons which is usually my go-to. Still an above average seafood outing in a seaside town. Service was proper with really good timing on coursing. I hate when a course arrives when you're still in the middle of a soup or appetizer. Riva I came in not expecting much but I left more impressed than not. I would come back for another round.

But my partner convinced me to join him and his daughter for a trip to Capitola. At first, I hesitated--it felt like a third-wheel situation--but he assured me it would be fun to have dinner together. Eventually, I thought, why not give it a try? By the time we arrived, all three of us were hungry, so we explored the beachside restaurants. We ultimately chose Margaritaville, which seemed to have the best menu. Although I was tempted by a margarita, I decided on a Butterfly Passion instead and asked the server if it was a pretty drink--thankfully, it was both beautiful and delicious! We began our meal with guacamole and chips. I was a bit concerned the jalapeños would make it too spicy for me, but it turned out just right--a fantastic appetizer. My partner's daughter ordered a Chile Verde Enchilada and enjoyed it, though she couldn't finish her rice and beans, which she kindly shared with me. My partner and I split an order of Dungeness Crab Tostadas, and they were absolutely delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive, got our orders right, and made sure we didn't wait long for our food or drinks. I was surprised to discover that Margaritaville has so many locations, including all-inclusive hotels--who knew it was so popular? After such a great first meal here, I'd definitely visit another location if I get the chance.
