I had to use the restroom next to this business and unfortunately, they did not have anything to dry my hands. I walked out and noticed this woman sitting at this business, and I explained to her that the bathroom did not have anything to wipe my hands with and the hand dryer was broken. I then kindly asked if she would mind if I just got a couple napkins. She gave me a pretty dirty look and said " I will do it this time, but I don't usually don't just give these out to customers.". Now I can understand if I asked for any enormous amount or if I was rude in anyway. But neither of those things happened. My hands were soaking wet dripping on the floor. I also have a very painful condition in my hands so having to use hot or cold water is pretty excruciating on them. So getting them dry quickly is very important. I looked at her and replied with "well I'm only asking for a couple of napkins, I don't think that you needed to be rude about that." I took the napkins and started walking away, and she proceeded to get loud with me and go into detail about how she doesn't just give these out to customers. I turned around and told her very clearly, that I would not be returning to her business and I have been there a couple times before, but I definitely won't be using a business that treats me like this. She then got loud again, telling me that she did not care what I did and if I came back or not. I then turned around and looked at her, and I asked if she was the owner or if she just worked there. She said she was the owner. I was shocked. I told her, well an owner should absolutely not be acting like this. It's also the holidays, you could be a little bit kinder. It's just napkins. If it was that big of a deal, I could pay for them. She then proceeded to tell me that, that is what the hand dryer is for. Then took her hands and literally showed me how you would use them under a hand dryer. Absolutely uncalled for. So I told her I was going to take a picture and post this on this page and she sure stopped getting loud with me then. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that a lot of people take advantage of small businesses. But there is no way that I would have turned somebody down that was standing there with soaking wet hands and could see they were in need. If I were to give napkins away for free at my business, and I want to make this clear again, she was the owner, I could've made this an opportunity to gain a customer or a return customer at this point by offering if there was anything I would like to purchase or to please make sure to come back and visit me, etc. I just thought I would share this so others knew how some of the customers were treated at this location. I know there's a lot of people out there like myself that are big on customer service and especially when it's the owner of a company. If this were just an employee, I really would not have posted. I do believe in supporting local and small businesses, but I will not be supporting this one again. Also, with looking online at their reviews where this business is advertised, there are quite a few negative reviews against the owner herself being rude to other customers as well.

We also ordered the taco (3) combo with 2 chorizo and one carne asada taco with rice and beans. We also got a side order of rice and beans. This restaurant is pricey. The good - rice, beans, chorizo, carne asada tacos are good. The salsas they bring out to the table in bottles are good. The bad- birria tacos, chips and salsa. The birria tacos have a tiny amount of shredded beef and loads of greasy cheese. The meat has good flavor but you barely get any shredded beef! The chips are bland and the salsa is just liquid ( no texture) with some flavor. Tacos combo is 12 dollars, birria tacos combo is 15 dollars. I would recommend getting a taco combo (3) with 2 chorizo and 1 carne asada taco with rice and beans. I wouldn't recommend the birria tacos. The price is high for the amount of food that you get. Our lunch was 36 dollars without tip! Water only to drink.

There was also a slightly unsettling 'alarm' that rang as the door was opened, not your typical 'ding dong' of a shop door. I picked up 5 pieces of tres leches cake - $4 a piece... a definite value! The gentleman behind the counter diligently and carefully packed each dripping moist piece of cake into its own to go box. I didn't understand why at first, but then we noticed that most of the chairs were already stacked on the tables and the staff was sweeping the floor. I asked if they were closed, but the man at the door said they were still open, so we were seated. Before we even had a chance to look at the menu, a server came over and told us we needed to move because they were about to mop that section. We moved without complaint. Our food came out fairly quickly, and it actually tasted good. Unfortunately, right as we started eating, they began mopping the floors with some kind of strong cleaner that made us nauseated. They mopped right by our table--my husband even joked that he was surprised they didn't ask us to lift our feet. By that point, several employees already had their coats on and were giving us looks like they just wanted us gone. We felt rushed, uncomfortable, and couldn't even finish our meal because of the chemical smell. The food itself was good, but the experience was terrible. No restaurant should start mopping floors with harsh cleaners while customers are still eating. That's just basic common sense. We won't be back.
