Don't let that fool you though; once you step inside it's clear this is a very authentic Mexican spot. The interior is long and narrow. On the right side when you walk in there are bakery cases filled with a wide variety of traditional Mexican pastries and baked goods. On the left there's some seating and an ice cream area, and further toward the back there's a larger seating section that looks like it's used for their buffet (which we were told they offer on weekends). We visited on a Wednesday, so we ordered from the counter instead. The people working there were very friendly and welcoming, and the prices were very reasonable. I ended up ordering a cheese quesadilla with fries. The fries were actually excellent--crispy, salty, and exactly what you'd hope for. The quesadilla itself was okay. In fairness, this is clearly a place that specializes in more traditional Mexican dishes, and I probably didn't order the thing they're best known for. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food and pastries, this seems like a great local spot and it's definitely worth checking out. If your taste leans more toward American-style Mexican food, you might find the menu a little different than what you're used to.
