I wish they had indoor seating is my only complaint. There are days I'd like to sit down and have their food when it's not the best weather. Additionally, the last time we were there, we were pestered with wasps and yellow jackets the whole time (which I'm allergic to) and some of the outdoor seating was seeming to be broken down.

The Ortiz family is really committed to community. Quality food, quality service and a terrific overall value. What a dynamite evening because of them. We LOVE it. Second red flag was that the place was completely empty.... An empty restaurant on a Saturday night is always a bad sign. The tacos were so bland. My quesadilla was covered in salty queso? The style of the food was not to my liking. It may have been very authentic but I didn't like the food. The salsa was puréed tomatoes with seasonings added, no texture. I got enchiladas: the cheese was OK, the chicken was awful, and the ground beef was good. After the meal I had to go buy a Coke to get the taste out of my mouth. The restaurant was clean and no complaints; I really disliked the food. It wasn't just me, my wife (who chose the place over my pick) apologized repeatedly, it wasn't good. Not one person loved their meal; not one person liked their meal; our meals were OK. I wouldn't come back.

We often go for the bowls that have good options with the expected of ground beef but also barbacoa and pork carnitas options with a range of dressings that go beyond the usual suspects. We tried the caprese crostini board with four narrow slices of bread with pesto sauce, fresh mozz & a slice of tomato on top. Didn't pretend to be a traditional caprese and I found them to be a nice amount that was in no danger of filling you up before the meal. My dining companion enjoyed the frozen drink. There really are two versions of this restaurant that really changes the experience. Like so many things, restaurants in Athens are one thing when classes are in session and quite another during breaks and the summer. North End is a place for us when classes are out because it isn't as busy, nowhere near as loud, and a more chill vibe.
