Horrible Taco Bell franchise. I've been eating at Taco Bell for over 50 years, and the Marina location is hands down the worst Taco Bell in California. Today I ordered two steak soft tacos, a bean burrito, and a small Pepsi. The girl at the window where you pay dropped my change all over the ground. She just stood there, she didn't bother to replace the change she just dropped. She then handed me my food and closed the window. Besides dropping my change, she also failed to give me the drink I ordered. So I sat there for awhile, while she was inside laughing and talking with her friend. There was no one in line behind me. After a few minutes she saw I was still there and opened the window and asked if I needed something else. I told her she forgot to give me my drink. She didn't apologize, she just quickly filled the cup and handed it to me. No apology, nothing. When I got to my house I discovered she gave me two hard crunchy tacos instead of the soft tacos that I ordered. I didn't have time to go back, so I just dumped them. This girl has obviously been poorly trained by the management staff. It's hard to tell with masks but I think she was under 20, and Hispanic or possibly Caucasian, with brown hair. She did not have an accent, or at least not a noticeable one. However the receipt is time stamped 1:47:19 p.m., so if the store management gives a damn they can identify her that way. Stopped by Taco Bell in Marina this afternoon to grab some lunch. Knowing that their dining room was closed because the virus I pulled into the drive thru, there was a vehicle in front of me which was placing their order as they pulled up to the window I pulled my truck up to the menu board and decided what I wanted. I waited looking over the menu for about 4-5 minutes without being greeted by the employee at the window. I then got fed up because I was never recognized at the menu board and pulled up to the window. The vehicle in front of me was getting their food I noticed in my mirror that the vehicle behind me was also now placing an order. As I pulled up to the window I noticed the young lady inside filling up cups I then tapped on the window when she opened she asked can I help you. I asked her if the vehicle behind me placed an order? She stated yes, I then said you also have food to the vehicle in front of me correct she stated yes. I then asked then why did you not take my order she stated you drove away. I said I drove away from the menu board because I waited for 5 minutes without being greeted or asked what I wanted to order. No matter how busy you think you are you could have at least recognized you had a customer waiting to place an order. At this point your customer service is horrible and I don't want any food from your restaurant. This is an issue that I find a lot in Marina restaurants customer service no longer exists. The owner of Taco Bell needs to train his employees especially during these times when a drive through is the only thing open. read more

There was a time in my life, which was actually most of my life, that I was afraid of Taco Bell. I don't know exactly what I was afraid of but I could not bring myself to eat food from there. Recently, on a holiday, I wound up with basically no options other than this particular Taco Bell to get food from so I hesitantly gave this place a shot. Wow. Totally not what I expected. Clean, relatively healthy food, made mostly to order extremely quickly, crazy cheap, and many vegetarian options. The only downside I have to report was I went here early in the day once, I'm usually nighttime customer, and the staff was extremely disorganized and gave me the wrong change and I had to speak to multiple people to get my correct change. Not pleasant, but I think I'll just be sticking to the evening hours. If you're on the fence about Taco Bell, give this one a try! read more

Usually fast food gets an automatic 3 stars, unless its very delicious, or its a good In&Out. This one gets the added star for being open on Turkey Day and the interesting decor they have. They have chosen an old style diner layout, which is very interesting and pleasing to the eyes. Staff was pretty good, they brought out a personal pizza for those of us that were eating there, I decided to pass since I had already stuffed myself beyond capacity with mexican pizzas and taco supreme's. Whatever happened to the chives they used to put on the mexican pizzas? I miss those. One little Ecoli outbreak and everyone gets all freaked out.... I've never been to such a non-standard Taco Bell before. I am specifically talking about there decorations! When you walk in it kind of reminds you of a more colorful In N Out. It has this retro vibe to the whole place. There's fake cars literally bolted to the walls and everything. The decorations are off the hook! To be really honest with you though what does the 80's vibes have to do with Taco Bell? haha just a thought. what I was thinking was maybe before Taco Bell was a business here this place was a different restaurant and had this decorations and I guess when Taco Bell took over they just kept the décor like the way it is! Very cool and unique though! Oh, another random thing, It's a Taco Bell AND Pizza Hut all in one. so odd! never seen such a thing before. Everything was super clean and nothing to complain about. the ONLY negative is that the co-workers were all socializing and being all unprofessional in front of customers. Came in today for a Pepsi and a tostada. Went to the bathroom first and no toilet seat covers not even a dispenser for them. Got my tostada And kept looking for the beans. They only put a small smear on there, I kept eating it hoping I'd bite into some but no. So I went to order another one cuz I was still hungry. A different person took my order and I explained to him the lack of beans on my last order (no sorry, no nothing) and expressed my wish for extra beans on my next one and he changed me 35 cents for them. The decor really reminds me of Burgervilles we have in Washington, there is a half-car seat and the tables look like records. So cute! The food is your basic Taco Bell... plus a few Pizza Hut "freeze and heat" type of foods are on the menu, but the best, most surprising part is the speed of service. I've been in there many times and seen the owner training the managers and employees. He puts a lot of pressure on them for excellence and it really shows. They're always working FAST... which is great to see in fast food, since that's basically why anyone would ever eat here... I hope. read more

My growing daughter who apparently has an almost insatiable appetite was still hungry after we came from lunch at Bubba Gump's. We got back to my sister's and I suggested Taco Bell and she opted for her trusty soft taco supreme. Everything would've been fine if I hadn't gotten the tacos back only to realize they had left off the sour cream, thus rendering them mere soft tacos. ;-/ I gave 2 stars because it took about 5 or 6 minutes to get tacos that weren't prepared correctly and 'meh. This location is a joke. Went threw the other night and ordered a few things including two orders of nacho fries. Pulled through then looked through the back and we had only received tacos and no fries. Went back threw and told the lady what had happened. She said sorry and to pull back through, she had us a bag and says sorry again. We pull away and then check the bag at the light. It was chips. We shook our heads and went home. She even repeated the order to us both times. I honestly think she did it on purpose because she was laughing both times we went through. It's fast food, I know. There's not much to be expected from places like these. You drive up, order your food, pay, then leave. It's a cyclical process that most of us perform almost automatically. Then there's the other part of the process. You receive your bag, look through the items and much to your chagrin, you find out items are missing. You search frenetically almost tearing holes through your food wondering, "Where the FUCK is my Chalupa?!!!" Or even worse, you get all the way home and find out you didn't quite get what you ordered. This place is great because they have NEVER messed up an order of mine. Albeit, my orders usually aren't too complex, they have never disappointed me with cavalier modifications of my order. That says a lot about the focus and comprehension of the employees that work there. That type of service certainly goes a long way and that's kind of sad in a way because that's how its supposed to be everywhere. read more

I really like this location since I can either get my craving for Mexican food or pizza fixed in one location! I use the drive thru the most and it is always a quick and speedy process unless I am ordering bread-sticks and they don't have enough made. They have never messed up my order unlike other locations. I did happen to eat inside with my son the other day. They have a neat decor. Its what I would consider a 50's style theme with the old cars and memorabilia. My son enjoyed looking at all the neat stuff; so much that he preferred to do so instead of eating. The staff at this location is always friendly. read more

I never seem to get all my items I pay for/order when using the drive thru. Whenever we ask if eveything is in the bag (because eveything is stuffed in one bag and hard to dig thru) they say yes but we are always missing an item or two. I usually frequent this place a few times a week. What can I say I like the retro feel of the place. Of course the food is standard but the service is usually good. Today however that wasn't the case. Stood at the counter for a few minutes not being recognized. Even as a manager sat right there at her desk next to the counter. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a Taco Bell. I decided to go grab food on the way to work, figured since I had an hour to get there, and it was only a 10 minute drive from where I work, that i had time...boy was I wrong. I pull into the drive thru, only 2 cars ahead of me(one was at the order box). After waiting about 10!minutes to get a chance to place an order, I get asked to wait...and though irritated about already waiting for that long to place my order, I wait. I kid you not, it was another 13 minutes(yes, I timed it) till the person comes back and asked me to place my order. I place my order and then pull up to the window to pay. I paid for my food, received my drink, and then waited another 9 minutes for my food. Now, during this time, I'm looking inside the window and I see people laughing and joking and having a good time...yet the drive thru is backed up. I finally get my food and as I drive up, I look inside of the restaurant to see if maybe they were busy, and they only had 2 people inside...and to make matters worse, I'm now running late for work, and my tacos were actually cold. This was horrible, and I have been to a lot of fast food places and restaurants all over the world, and this was the absolute WORST. I will never spend another penny at this Taco Bell. read more

Extremely disappointing. I ordered a Combo pizza and breadsticks order and was told that it would be 7-10mins. I'm sitting in my damn car for over 20mins and finally walk inside. They're literally doing NOTHING in there at all. Only 2 people sitting down and no one in the drive thru. I ask about my order and the guy goes "Oh sorry" and grabs my order. So I then ask "So if I would've never walked in are you telling me I would've never got my order?" And this dude had the nerve to say "Uhm ha yeah. Now lots of people are probably used to walking into get a burrito and finding themselves in an amusement park food stand, but not me. I stepped in and involuntarily said WOW. There is an impactfull hodgepodge of "things". Custom molded fiberglass car sculptures. (My personal favorite being the butt end of a 50's auto that has a bench inserted between the fins.) In the 50's theme there is also a juke box with a charming little hand lettered sign on binder paper informing one and all that it does NOT work. Then there are some tin reproductions of 19th century advertisements for Dr. Pepper (Take a "bite" to eat at 10, 2 and 4. HUH? This features a man taking a "sip" from a Dr Pepper bottle in front of a clock.) There is a photo booth (not working) and a mechanical horsey ride for the little ones. They look like they might hale from the 1980's. The service is fine and like all Taco Bells the portions are entirely dependant on what crew happens to be working at the time, though the last two times I ordered takeout, the portions were reeeeally small. I have no idea how the pizza stacks up against other Pizza Hut pizzas since I have not tried theirs or any Pizza Hut pizza for that matter. One of the worst TB's I have ever been to. Place is obviously converted into a TB from some 50's burger joint or something. To me, super odd. Place is just dirty to me. The kitchen is just ugly to look at. So many staff members but yet had to wait about 10min to take my order! Only one person ahead of me. After she took his order she left the register to go make something. So I waited and waited for her return. Other staff members could have cared less and they were too busy acting a fool and messing around than to buckle down and do their jobs. Once order was placed it took almost 15min to receive. Insane. This is supposed to be FAST FOOD people. C'mon now. Yah bottom line this place needs to get it together. I think it needs to get demolished and build a new place with new staff. read more
