The food is good, but you have to be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes to get it. I have never not had to wait a long period of time.

I pulled up and went to order and I was greeted by a lady with red hair and covered in tattoos she smiled at me and asked me how I was and If I would like to place and order. I told her it had been a while since I had been there and asked her what she recommended and she promptly said ohhh definitely a chicken and steak quesadilla or some birria nachos. I said oh I didn't seen the birria nachos on the menu so it must be new so I told her I'll take one of each. She said it would be about 15 mins and I was welcome to have a seat and wait I made sure to see if she was going to put gloves on and yes!! She did. About 5 mins later some guy came in yelling at her that she needed to hurry and make 2 orders he had just got she told him she was working on my order she would get to it as soon as she was done he looked at me and said (what did you get man) and I had grabbed a soda from the cooler and he said you already pay for your order man if not I need you to pay now and for you drink. She said yes he had already paid for everything already she finished my order and gave me an extra salsa I tipped her 5 dollars before I left and he stuck it in his pocket I said oh that was a tip for the cook and he said yeah ok ty have a good day. The food was impeccable I dont know what she does to it but I was so full I couldn't eat another bite I will definitely go back if she is cooking but he needs to learn manners

Taco Tuesday meant we're in Hot Springs so we decided to try a new place for tacos. Capos Tacos was…read moreour stop and we questioned if it was opened at 3pm but they were. The place is across the street from the horse racing tack and was surprisingly much larger than expected. The menu is huge and service was friendly and great. The prices were reasonable. Sorry. I wish I took a picture of the menu. Probably online somewhere. Parking lot is huge and we could only assume that the place is jumping during racing season. My wife chose 1 shrimp taco and another with steak. She really enjoyed them both. I had 2 southern tacos (fried chicken pieces). We both took the crispy shells too. I liked mine but I'm still not sure about the crispy shells taste.maybe they needed to change the deep frying grease? I'm not sure. I was happy to see 4 different choices of hot sauce to choose from ( 3 of the 4 are home made and good). The moral of the story is that we both agreed to come back some time and try other things on the menu. It's worth the stop if in the area. I'd be interested in your review.

I heard these were the best tacos in town so I immediately thought of getting tongue, and goat tacos with a flame broiled Serrano. Nope, not the La comida casera that I was expecting. What I did get was solid fish, brisket and chorizo tacos. Great beans and rice and perfect Margaritas!! And Dog friendly taboot! Come get you some!!

The Carne Asada was good but the steak was grainy and a bit overdone (what is with the ton of onions all over everything) but the plate was good overall! Mezcal was awesome as well. We come yearly to Hot Springs and this is our first stop for dinner each time. Very much worthwhile!

It's not puréed to oblivion, but is full of chunks of avocado. The food always comes out hot and in a pleasing display. We are impressed with the variety of taco offerings, but have also ordered sandwiches, nachos, chimichangas, and burritos. The portions are always large and we always take home leftovers. Lots of people don't like that they charge for chips and sals, but their location makes it tempting to grab a drink and free apps and then eat dinner somewhere else. They have to pay staff and cover food costs too. My recommendation is the margarita flight-tropical, peach, jalapeño, and watermelon. I'm also a huge fan of the Quesabirrias, but the beef barbacoa and Al pastor street tacos are also great. The Diablos Nachos will make a meal for two. It pleases ages 10-50 every time!

While the atmosphere was less than lively at 2 PM on a Wednesday, I could see this would be a great evening spot out with your friends. We kicked off with the potato wedges and OMG they were so good and the dipping sauces were so unusual, it was the perfect appetizer as we sat down starving. I had the.Peace Out bowl with grilled chicken and loved all the textures. Could've done without the pickled carrots in the bowl, that was a weird addition. Maybe would've been better as aside. My friend had the Al Pastor tacos and we enjoyed them both. Service was steady and efficient. I look forward to trying it again maybe having a cocktail or beer on my next visit.

The birria is my go-too every where I go, tortilla, cheese, meat ratio was great, I'd even say they were very generous with meat, which I appreciated (and that's rare). The consommé was lacking, which unfortunately can make or break this dish. I perceived it was watered down to go further? Not sure, but the meat barely had the flavor as well, so not sure if this was an isolated batch issue, or just the original recipe. I could absolutely tell, the base flavor would have been good, it just reallllly needed to be more concentrated. Meat was cooked perfectly though. Rice was on point too, as a side... (and a lot of places screw up rice). I love this brand, and frequent their other establishment, so had high hopes. Recommendation for kids menu... the butter noodles... coming from a mom of several, add salt and parsley to it. Gives it a little ZIP! You had potato wedges on menu as well, maybe offer it "plain" for kids, with ketchup. I do realize it's a taco place, but parents look at kid menus before coming. When all else fails for kids, "French fries" usually work. Oh!! We sat on patio, could smell the dumpsters, if you could move them, that would be a great change. Especially in the summer heat.
