Less than fortunate circumstances, a broken down vehicle, landed me in Battle mountain the other…read moreMonday where my boyfriend and I decided to have lunch at Overtime as we waited for AAA to come tow my car from battle mountain to Elko. We told the bartender what we'd been through. A lot of money and issues and heartbreaks had been had that previous weekend. My brain was mush and I was very emotional. She could see it all over my face how badly I was going through it in that moment. I even ordered the wrong food at first and my boyfriend caught it in time but I was on the verge of tears the whole day. We ordered Fried Pickles, A Pulled Pork Sandwich with Curlies and a Tri Tip sandwich with Potato salad. The food was flipping amazing. The pickles were crispy and delicious. The sandwiches were great...the Tri Tip was EVERYTHING. It was so good. As we ate, another bartender came on shift and ours was going home for the day. She thanked us for coming in and told me she hoped I had a better day and good luck and went home. The other bartender came on over to check on us and told us that our meal was paid for by the previous bartender and that she "knew we were having a hard time and wanted to take care of it." When I tell you I cried like a baby. It was so sweet, unexpected... KIND. When I tell you that, truly good people do still exist and one of them is at Overtime, I'm not jokin. So dear bartender who took care of us... my gratitude for your kindness that day, makes me emotional just thinking about it. Not only was the food truly amazing...the service was above and beyond. Thank you, from a mom who NEEDS the car I was crying over, THANK YOU. Ps...I got my car fixed after DAYS of blood sweat and tears...and you made it a little easier for me to cope.
