Upon moving to Arkansas, I've been on the search for a solid authentic Mexican restaurant to dine at. Tonight, my search ended. El Mariachi is absolutely amazing! Located on the south west side of Fort Smith, you get a combination of awesome tasting food, delicious drinks, a choice of different heat level salsas, and all at very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I had the street taco plate, with al pastor and carnitas meats with a side of refried beans and Mexican rice - which is all made fresh daily in house. I also tend to judge a Mexican restaurant very hard on the quality of their salsa. The regular salsa is tasty, if you ask for their tomatillo salsa, it is hotter and flavorful with a hint of chipotle pepper in the background, and for those brave enough to try it, the Diablo salsa has just the right amount of heat if eaten in small amounts. I also had a top shelf margarita, which for the price point they have it at was perfectly made and enjoyed. In the end, I had to try their flan. I will state, this is probably some of, if not The best flan I've ever eaten.
