Taco Bar Catering - This is just the toppings! The meat and tortilla station was in another picture! - Caterers Near Me - San Jose, California

Look no further! Great Food and Service! We used for our son's college graduation party right after commencement at Santa Clara University. We will use again for future events! read more

These guys are professional all around. I communicated with Dallany through email to get information on their services, menu choices, and setting a date for the event. Communication was a little slow that way, but I planned way in advance so there was no rush. The costs seemed reasonable. A taco bar with all the sides and chips and dip, tacos made to order, and utensils and disposable serve ware provided by them. And for a little more, they brought a drinks table too. They cooked the whole time they were at the event and were friendly to all the guests. I would use them again for my next event. read more

These tacos were amazing!! The service was outstanding and the entire party loved all the food! We had the vegan meat option in addition to the 3-meat package and it was all so tasty. We had rice, beans, quesadillas, and strawberry agua Fresca added on to our package and we are so happy we did so! We would definitely book again! read more

Don't hesitate. Use them. Used them for my son's 1 year birthday. Fun for kids, adults. Not rushed. Fresh. Sooooo good. Fun highlight to have. I will use them again if I get the opportunity. read more

Omar, Dellanny, and the rest of the crew are first rate. And, their tacos are killer! We had them cater our daughters' and niece's joint graduation party. They were very accommodating given the fact that I had only booked them less than a week of the event. The team arrived on time and quickly set up to serve our guests. They were professional, friendly, and helpful. We had ordered food for 75 guests and nothing was a disappointment. The pastor was the highlight of the 3 meats (pastor, asada, and pollo). The included condiments were plentiful and delicious. The corn tortillas themselves were very good. We had hired them for 2 hours of service. After that, they left all of the food behind so that our party guests could enjoy themselves later. Everything was re-filled before they left so no one left hungry! Book these guys the next time you need your event catered! read more

Taco Bar catered my niece's graduation party. I was a guest, and make no judgments about the price or the value of the catering. It was certainly timely, always a major factor. The two servers were quite friendly and helpful. The tacos offered were apparently of the "street" variety, with small, moist, double corn tortillas, and trays with three types of meat fillings. The fillings were good. I do not remember any shredded lettuce or shredded cheese to top off the tacos, though. There were peppers, chopped onions, tomatoes and lettuce in trays, as though for salad makings. Next to them were trays of the obligatory rice and beans. Plus, a tray of jalapeno peppers, one of which a guest bit into, not expecting the fiery taste. Milk, lots of milk seemed to calm things down eventually. At one point during the festivities, flour tortillas with a smidgeon of cheese smeared on them were offered as quesadillas. They would be judged wholly inadequate in any Mexican restaurant I know of. The tortillas tasted very good, though, without needing any cheese filling. The guacamole, if indeed it was that, was more like avocado-flavored ranch dressing, not the chunky substance I have grown to love. Perhaps it was ordered this way. My observations are simply that. Perhaps the food was exactly as ordered. I would probably order something different, but then again, it wasn't my party. My rating for Taco Bar Catering is A-OK. read more

Omar and Dellaney catered our sons' birthday party this weekend. They were punctual, organized, and very clean!!! They were very friendly and flexible, and had great communication leading up to the event. The al pastor was some of the best I have had, and all the salsas were delicious! The only complaint I have is that the steak, chicken, and beans could have used a little more seasoning, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely use them again, well worth the $$$. read more

Taco Bar Catering - My husband couldn't get enough of their tacos!!!! (Go Warriors) - Caterers Near Me - San Jose, California

I came across taco bar catering through yelp months ago, but we were trying to figure out what type of food we were going to have for my baby shower. The place we were going to have....some how bailed. We left messages, called, emailed.... everything! Then I remembered taco bar catering, they always stuck in my head. I was worried because it was literally a week and and a half before the party and thought they wouldn't be able to accommodate so soon. Well, I was wrong. They got back to us asap, and we're so helpful. Now to today, the baby shower: Nothing but great things about them. They were amazing. They were so organized and set up so fast. The food was great, the condiments and everything was laid out so nicely. The only thing is....I was so busy running around I didn't get to sit and enjoy as much as I wanted to. Anyways, they were so friendly and personable. My cousin loved them, everyone did! I'm so happy I went with my first instinct. I will definitely be referring them to others! Thank you so much Taco Bar Catering!! read more

I loved their website and they seem to have great reviews, but I have contacted them thru their website 2 time over 2 weeks and I have tried to call and the voicemail is full. I do not know what else to do to get in contact with them. read more

We recently had used Taco Bar Catering for our Baby Shower and everyone loved it! We had about 40-50 people invited and went with the basic 50 people cater with an addition of grilled veggie (for vegetarians). There was plenty of food, despite having some of my greedy guest eating up to 7-8 tacos! Omar even packed us some leftovers with extra salsa and cheese. Everything was clean and well organized. My wife and I were a little worried before they showed up, but we didn't have to worry about a single thing. All we did is take care of the guest and enjoy the party we held for our friends and family! If we were to have another event next time around we are going to have them cater again :) read more

I used Omar and his team to cater my 120 person wedding last September. They were fabulous throughout the entire transaction. Just this weekend I had three friends tell me how amazing the food was and how they kept going back for more tacos at my wedding. The compliments have been rolling in for the past 6 months! Their presentation is great, the service is professional, and they really cared about making it a special day for me. The price was super reasonable for the amount of food we got and our guests left with full tummies! We will definitely be using them again for any large parties in the future. Thank you Dellany and Omar for all your hard work. All the details and time you put in is noticed and very appreciated. :) read more

Taco Bar Catering catered our daughter's first birthday party for 50 guests, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The food was undoubtedly great and the price was more than reasonable as others here have commented, but it's the level of service from beginning to end that really set them apart. Communication with Dellanny was at all times responsive, professional, and completely service-oriented. It was incredibly rare and refreshing to feel like someone was partnering in our celebration rather than simply exchanging a service for money. Their great attitudes however didn't come at the expense of quality of service. From set up to tear down, they took care of every single detail including figuring out how to squeeze their equipment through our small backyard fence, and when they finished they perfectly packed up all of the leftovers for us in boxes they provided, and left everything as clean as if they had never been there. With this level of service, I would have honestly been happy with mediocre tacos, and almost surprised myself when I actually bit into the first taco and realized how tasty they were. Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish and couldn't recommend them more! read more

I had Omar and his company cater my wife's Bday party over the weekend and could be happier with their services. Omar himself was very friendly, a nice guy. They arrived an hour before the event started to set up. It was very effortless on my part. Just relaxed and let them go to work. Everyone who came was raving about the taco's, the rice, and the horchata. The food was great. Alone, I must've had 12 tacos. The pricing was better than other taco caters I was looking at too. Good people, good food, and good prices. I couldn't be happy with Taco Bar Catering. I will mostly likely use them again for my daughters Bday and other events. If you're looking for a Taco guy believe me, you won't be disappointed with Omar. read more

I hired these guys last minute on memorial day weekend for my daughter 18th/grad party for 100 people. The were excellent they came and set up a nice food line with fresh salsa and chips. Omar is on it. He and his crew came all the way out to Burlingame from Campbell, arrived on time, set up shop and went to town. His crew was friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing...I'm not sure what more you can expect. We hired Taco Bar Catering for our June wedding in Livermore. I seriously cannot praise them enough. This is a family run business and Dallanny was the one I was in contact with through the whole process. She is wonderful. She's super responsive and professional. She couldn't have been easier to work with! Thank you, Dallanny! Now about the food. These tacos are beyond incredible. My husband and I have had tacos from other taco bars at events and these tacos blew all of them out of the water. I wish they had a restaurant because I would eat there regularly, they're that good! All the meats had such wonderful flavor. The sauces were to die for, and there were plenty of yummy toppings. Their setup was very professional and organized. Our guests all raved about the tacos, appitizers, and Aguas Frescas. We are so, so happy we had Taco Bar Catering cater our wedding! read more

We wanted a taco caterer for our engagement party and came across Omar and his business on Yelp. Him and his wife set up an amazing spread for our 70 guests and cooked amazing tacos! The food smelled so good while they were setting up and when it was ready everyone loved what they had! They offered 3 kinds of meats, grilled onions, beans, rice, different salsas, guacamole, chips, cheese, and sour cream. They also had yummy drinks to offer as well. We really enjoyed having them cater for us and loved the food! We definitely recommend Taco Bar Catering and will use them again!! Thanks Omar! read more

Omar and Dallanny are the best. Our wedding was back in September, so this review is long over due! They helped us with our entire wedding, from food to decorating! They made everything as stress free as possible! They were never out of contact, if we needed them or needed to add something they were always quick to respond. I highly recommend them to anyone. Their food is amazing. I have to admit I didn't eat much during the wedding since I was too preoccupied but the next day leftovers were amazing! They had workers helping clean up all the plates after guests were done eating, and they also served all the cider and cake. I don't think we would have made it through the day as easy if we didn't have their amazing help. They are the sweetest and I will definitely be contacting them in the future for parties. read more

Really, really impressed with Taco Bar Catering. I had the opportunity to work with Omar and Dellanny on scheduling them to cater my son's 1st birthday party. With minimal advanced notice, they were able to fit the party into their schedule and completely knock it out of the park. We had over 100 people for the event and not one of them left hungry. In fact, multiple people went back for seconds. Their setup time was perfect and the amount of communications before, during and after the event made me confident that I picked the right company. The price for the event was very affordable and like I said, the food was fantastic. We had chicken, pastor and steak and the guests were excited and left happy. I would HIGHLY recommend them for you partying needs. read more

Taco Bar Catering is AWESOME!!! Omar and Dallany were amazing to work with. We hired them for our son's 8th birthday party. They were very responsive (emailed me before the event to confirm that they were coming and texted me the day of the event to let me know what time they were coming). The food was amazing - I received so many compliments and many people asked me for their contact information afterwards. I know they received at least one catering contract after our party and I hope they get more. :) Our menu was fully vegetarian and delicious. We also ordered fresh strawberry agua fresca and it was so good that the kids skipped soda and juice boxes in favor of the agua fresca. In addition to the fantastic food, Omar and Dallany brought plates, napkins, utensils, decorations for their table, signs for the salsas, etc - basically everything to make the party a success. Also, it was an outdoor party and they brought their own canopy. I would highly recommend Taco Bar Catering for your next event! read more

My company has used Taco Bar Catering twice and they are awesome!!! From their efficient communication, friendliness, professionalism and let's not forget the delicious tacos, they are wonderful. They've set up twice outside of our building on our patio and everyone raved at how delicious the food was-especially the salsas!. I can't recommend them enough. If you want reliable and quality service, use Taco Bar catering! Thank you Omar, Dallanney, Olga and the rest of the team =) You guys know what it's all about! read more

I have been to many parties that have been catered by a "taco cart", but Taco Bar was the best by far!! The food was fresh and cooked on the premises, there were quesadillas for the kids and those who didn't eat meat. They brought more than enough food to feed one hundred guests and set up a beautiful table with condiments (mild green chili, hot red, avocado sauce, pico de gallo, onion, cilantro), rice, beans, chips and two aguas frescas - horchata and cantaloupe. The staff was friendly, professional and clean - very accommodating. I would DEFINITELY hire them for any future parties that our family has!! Honestly I was slightly skeptical when my daughter told me she was having a "taco cart" for her wedding reception, but they really impressed us and our guests. By the way - we come from a family of excellent cooks who are very particular about how our food tastes - they made it happen in the mountains of Santa Cruz no less! read more

We selected Taco Bar Catering (TBC) as the main attraction for a company event based on Yelp reviews. Omar and Dellanny worked tirelessly to overcome a number of restrictions/obstacles that arose as the event date drew closer. When Daniel, Dellanny, and Ulisses arrived to setup, they expertly assessed the physical space, came up with a plan to efficiently get everything placed to best serve us, and executed brilliantly. (All with a smile and good humour) Everyone at our event of over 180 people were impressed and came back for seconds and thirds. TBC's attention to detail in presentation, consideration of things like Vegan options being prepared on separate surfaces to avoid cross-contamination, etc. were impressive to say the least. In the end, TBC even had the forethought to bring To-Go boxes to ensure that no food went to waste. Despite how late it was when TBC cleaned up, with that smile and good humour again, TBC even fed our security guard. Hands down the best Taco Bar I've been in contact with and Daniel, Dellanny, and Ulisses were a joy to be around. 5/5 stars. read more

But everyone loved everything. Their service and food was outstanding. I would totally recommend them. Loved that they cook right on site and beautifully cleaned up. On September 7th, 2017 we hosted the rehearsal dinner for my sons wedding in our back yard and used Taco Bar Catering. I cannot begin to tell you how happy we were with both the service and the food. Omar, Dallanny, and crew were outstanding. Not only were they there on time, actually a little early, they were masterful at setting up all the gear in a very short period of time, and presentation was great. The food was amazing, I was not disappointed with anything I ordered and had plenty of food for everyone. All the leftovers were packed up and left with us to enjoy later. If you are in need of a great taco bar caterer I highly recommend Omar and his crew. They were professional, courteous, always smiling, conversing with the guests, all while keeping up with the what seemed to be constant line of people going back for more. Everyone loved the food and were still talking about it well into the evening, It even made it in to the best mans speech at the wedding the next day! Omar and Dallanny, thank you so much for making this special event for my son and now daughter in law one to remember. You are amazing. I used Taco Bar Catering's services for my son's first birthday party after trying the food at another friend's party and enjoying it. The booking process was smooth and professional and Omar and Dallany were responsiveness and easy to work with. They came on time for the event and set up. We had booked them for 50 people (their minimum) but only ended up having about 38 RSVPs plus some kids, so we figured we would be fine on food (and actually assumed we would have a lot of leftovers given that we also supplied some fruit/vegetable trays, salad, cake and other desserts). However, several ingredients (including flour tortillas, guacamole and CHEESE!) ran out during the course of the evening. Several people who were socializing during the early part of the party did not get the food they wanted. I expressed my disappointment about running out of food with Omar after the event over email, and we connected on the phone. Omar was not at all responsive to my comments. He said that the guacamole was a "topping" and not a "side" as many people were using it as. He also said that the cheese quesadillas were meant to be a "side" and not a "main course." None of these distinctions were presented beforehand, and I feel that there should be enough food for people to eat it however they wish - it is unrealistic to expect that people will eat the items as he intended. He also had the nerve to comment on my coming to get seconds as being a contributing factor to running out of food (I came a few times to get food for family members). While Omar did provide a small refund, I thought it was inadequate given that instead of food for 50 adults, we got food for about 35 adults to eat. The food was tasty (hence, 2 stars) but I would not do business with them again. read more
