I contacted this Caterer Saturday afternoon via text as they instructed from their voicemail. I received a response saying they would send me a quote by end of Sunday. I wait until Monday morning to contact them asking for a quote. After being pressed for when I would receive the quote, they respond with a very dismissive and vague reply. I am posting this review after an additional 24 hours of waiting for said quote. This is replying to Daniels comment about us not full-filling a contract or a deposit for our order. Not only was Daniel extremely unprofessional, he's outright lying about this entire experience. I contacted Daniel over a week before the needed date, saying I was looking for a taco caterer in sort of short notice, we were also flexible on the date, he said he could do it for Friday 8/14 at 11am. Attached are the numerous times I emailed him with no reply. I even called him Wednesday (8/12) evening bc he stopped replying, letting him know we could provide full payment to secure our order and he said "I'm just backed up on invoices but we will be there Friday." I said ok and figured everything would be fine. Friday I had still not heard from him. I emailed that morning before 11am and said I'm assuming you aren't dropping off in 30'mins . He replied and said, "can we drop off at 3 pm." (also attached) It wasn't ideal but, I said yes. I knew he was lying and decided to try and call him and he never picked up the rest of day. We ended up called another Taco caterer and they brought more food than Daniel offered for a cheaper price. Also brought it an hour and a half after we chatted. Not only is Daniel outright lying, he's not owning up to leaving a party completely without food. If you were busy, that was all you had to say. Why lie and leave ppl without a food option during a trip, then get online and said you had no contract or deposit when I kept asking you for one. Moral of the story: don't order from him unless you want your party to go plain hungry. He'll ghost you via email and phone and get on Yelp acting like it's your fault. I've never left a Yelp review. I encourage you to take note. There are some people that should never be in business and Taca Tacos tops the list. Daniel Felix should consider either retirement or he should seek mental help. How would you feel if you invited 40 guests, ordered tables-chairs- heaters for a big birthday celebration and found out 90-minutes before that they weren't coming? You've paid 1/2 of the deposit and while you has to call someone on staff to coordinate- consider additional menu items- asked for an extra person to serve drinks- the assistant to Daniel in your one actual verbal discussion claims: 1) she will work it out 2) never communicates again until 3) she emails for full payment the day before when you are actually entertaining out of town guests. The elusive Daniel calls to break the bad news with the stated reason for canceling- they have "not received full payment." Yes- read the small print "all money due 24-hours before." How about a phone call? It' takes about one minute to Venmo the balance. The real reason is that they (and I mean Daniel) can't manage his way out of a paper bag. His final comments when I express outrage reflect a deeply troubled individual who takes no responsibility. In the end- he didn't have the staff- three people became just one- Daniel. I'm also guessing Daniel didn't have the food either unless his appetite that evening was 40 people strong. If you were giving a grade for communication skills it would be an F-minus. Do yourself a favor- run if you see, hear or even think the name Taca Tacos. Daniel will attempt some lame response to this review- ignore it. read more

I can't say I would recommend this vendor due to the fact that I didn't contract them or even tried their food. The food does look yummy. Sadly I had called various taco places to get quotes for their services, and this location didn't get back with a quote ASAP. By the time I got an email with their info I had already contracted someone. I understand that you guys may be extremely busy, it may not hurt to hire someone who can help you guys out in that spot.
