Taca Tacos were great for my girlfriends big birthday pool party in Palm Springs. They were on time, professional, and the food was delicious. Their price was reasonable too. When i forgot that the second half of the deposit was due the day of and i hadn't paid they called me to take payment but they were really cool about it and the guy was already serving it up. I'm grateful they were understanding and that they didn't hold up the party. We got 3 types of meat, chicken, steak and Al pastor. Beans and rice, typical toppings and two kinds of salsa. Everyone was stoked. The meats were super flavorful, our fav was the Al pastor. We would absolutely recommend them and I'll be hiring them for my birthday next. read more

I contacted this Caterer Saturday afternoon via text as they instructed from their voicemail. I received a response saying they would send me a quote by end of Sunday. I wait until Monday morning to contact them asking for a quote. After being pressed for when I would receive the quote, they respond with a very dismissive and vague reply. I am posting this review after an additional 24 hours of waiting for said quote. For perspective I was able to contact 3 other taco caterers in the area, all of which were able to respond with availability and package pricing within 5 minutes of the call. read more

This is replying to Daniels comment about us not full-filling a contract or a deposit for our order. Not only was Daniel extremely unprofessional, he's outright lying about this entire experience. I contacted Daniel over a week before the needed date, saying I was looking for a taco caterer in sort of short notice, we were also flexible on the date, he said he could do it for Friday 8/14 at 11am. Attached are the numerous times I emailed him with no reply. I even called him Wednesday (8/12) evening bc he stopped replying, letting him know we could provide full payment to secure our order and he said "I'm just backed up on invoices but we will be there Friday." I said ok and figured everything would be fine. Friday I had still not heard from him. I emailed that morning before 11am and said I'm assuming you aren't dropping off in 30'mins . He replied and said, "can we drop off at 3 pm." (also attached) It wasn't ideal but, I said yes. I knew he was lying and decided to try and call him and he never picked up the rest of day. We ended up called another Taco caterer and they brought more food than Daniel offered for a cheaper price. Also brought it an hour and a half after we chatted. Not only is Daniel outright lying, he's not owning up to leaving a party completely without food. If you were busy, that was all you had to say. Why lie and leave ppl without a food option during a trip, then get online and said you had no contract or deposit when I kept asking you for one. Moral of the story: don't order from him unless you want your party to go plain hungry. He'll ghost you via email and phone and get on Yelp acting like it's your fault. Would never recommend this guy. read more

PERFECT FIRST EXPERIENCE! So easy to book. I called 2 days before my event and they handled it with ease. Jeremy showed up ready to go and was a one-man culinary machine, easily handling 45 hungry people. Everyone loved the food. My only suggestion: order extra guacamole, because it was so good, it disappeared fast. read more

Delicious tacos for a birthday party! The coordination, scheduling and timeliness of their service was superb. Phenomenal process, food and service. We hired Taca Tacos for our neighborhood appreciation party ~70 people. The process was seamless from the time we contracted with them to final payment. The food was high quality, and they had a vegetarian option which was delicious. The two Daniels who worked the taco truck were gracious and responsive. We will definitely have them again, probably for our annual meeting in 2023. Taca Tacos rocks. read more

I can't stress how delicious their tacos are! First off, Tierra, Daniel, and Jesus were extremely pleasant to work with and helped to coordinate an event for us. They were very communicative, which I think is something that was very helpful when planning catering services. Daniel and Jesus got set up and immediately the smell was out of this world. Our guests could not get enough of the carne asada and the guac is a must try add-on. They helped us package the leftovers and the group enjoyed them later in the evening and even for breakfast the next morning. We even had our photography and bartender vendors ask for their contact info because it was SO good. Thanks for making our event special! read more

We were looking for a unique and flavorful taco vendor for our employee holiday party and hit the jackpot in contracting Taca Tacos!!! They offered many amazing options from the staples such asada, pollo, and Al pastor and also came up with delicious seafood and vegan options to suit our specific needs. The homemade salsas were the icing on the cake with spicy to mild options that added that unique flavor to remember. Daniel and Tierra were extremely helpful in getting everything setup that we didn't even have to worry about the food during our party. Taca Tacos will now be our go to taco vendor!!! read more

A million thanks to Daniel, Tierra, and the whole Taca Tacos team for bringing their taco bar to our micro-wedding in Joshua Tree! Tierra was very friendly and quick to respond with any questions and help us coordinate the quote and event details. A wheel fell off their taco cart on the way to our reception, but they were so communicative and still made it to the reception in the middle of the desert, only 30 minutes behind schedule! We were so impressed by their dedication to service. Daniel arrived and made some of the freshest, most delicious tacos--I've never had such juicy and flavorful chicken tacos! We got shrimp, beef, chicken, and al pastor and they were all knockouts. We also got aguachile as an appetizer and it was out-of-this-world good. I've never left a Yelp review. I encourage you to take note. There are some people that should never be in business and Taca Tacos tops the list. Daniel Felix should consider either retirement or he should seek mental help. How would you feel if you invited 40 guests, ordered tables-chairs- heaters for a big birthday celebration and found out 90-minutes before that they weren't coming? You've paid 1/2 of the deposit and while you has to call someone on staff to coordinate- consider additional menu items- asked for an extra person to serve drinks- the assistant to Daniel in your one actual verbal discussion claims: 1) she will work it out 2) never communicates again until 3) she emails for full payment the day before when you are actually entertaining out of town guests. The elusive Daniel calls to break the bad news with the stated reason for canceling- they have "not received full payment." Yes- read the small print "all money due 24-hours before." How about a phone call? It' takes about one minute to Venmo the balance. The real reason is that they (and I mean Daniel) can't manage his way out of a paper bag. His final comments when I express outrage reflect a deeply troubled individual who takes no responsibility. In the end- he didn't have the staff- three people became just one- Daniel. I'm also guessing Daniel didn't have the food either unless his appetite that evening was 40 people strong. If you were giving a grade for communication skills it would be an F-minus. Do yourself a favor- run if you see, hear or even think the name Taca Tacos. Daniel will attempt some lame response to this review- ignore it. read more

Had a terrible experience with the restaurant. Would never recommend to anyone. A member of our party reached out about a week in advance for catering to be delivered at 11am today, which they said was fine. After reaching out multiple times with no response on the day of, they finally respond asking if 3pm is okay? Not sure why you assume it's okay to make the customers party wait 4 extra hours for food. After which they never responded and we left a message to cancel the order seeing as we couldn't get anyone on the phone. This was a waste of time as we found another Mexican food restaurant who was able to deliver our food in hours at a better price. If your looking for reliable service. Do not contact this company. read more
