If you are considering basing your single engine aircraft here, you are better off basing it at phoenix deer Valley airport for cost effectiveness.

We arrived here from Harry Reid Airport (LAS) on 2/16/24 and departed on 2/18/24 using JSX. JSX's service from SCF to LAS replaced their LAS service to/from Phoenix-Sky Harbor (PHX) about a month ago. Since this is a small airport with no commercial aircraft or TSA, I will just stick this review towards the JSX lounge area upon our return to LAS. The JSX lounge here at SCF is really nice and literally right on the tarmac. They have complimentary coffee and tea, but sadly they did not have any lids available for their coffee cups. While waiting, I had myself two chocolate cappuccinos, which were really good! We got to the lounge at around noonish and boarded the plane at around 12:35, with a scheduled departure time of 12:50. Checking in our bags was super quick and super easy, as we were one of the first few people to show up at the lounge. The flight was super short as well. It only took about 45 minutes to get from SCF to LAS. Because Arizona lies entirely within the Mountain Time Zone and Nevada is within the Pacific Time Zone (outside of Daylight Savings Time), it felt like the flight only took 15 minutes. If we travel to Scottsdale again, it's more than likely that we'll be using JSX.

There's a bit of nostalgia here -- I still remember when the car rentals were on-site. Over the years, there have been some solid improvements, and this is one of the few airports that really gets it -- especially with the no carpet flooring, which makes a noticeable difference when you're rolling luggage. Parking rates are reasonable, which is another plus. My biggest knock is the food -- it's pretty underwhelming overall and could definitely use an upgrade. It is a much smaller airport and is located just southeast from the corner of Power Road and Ray Road. Simple to get in and out plus the parking is available just across from the terminal. They offer wheelchair help to those that need it. The airport has a hassle free and friendly atmosphere. Kind of a distance from where we live but I would really consider using this airport if I lived closer. It kind of reminds me of what Terminal One used to be at Sky Harbor Airport. Just remember the easy access from Ray Road and Power Road. Our friend was flying Allegiant Airlines so I can't say how many cities it flies to.

Absolutely fantastic service. We landed at Sky Harbor yesterday and experienced a main tire blowout…read moreon landing. We were disabled on the runway and their ramp team, under the leadership of Greg, was extremely helpful. Never once was safety compromised while they coordinated with airfield operations to secure and tug our disabled aircraft off the runway. Once safely off the runway, they assisted us in finding a maintenance company and the right parts to get airborne again. We were back flying within five hours of the incident! This never happens. The people at Swift were amazing hosts and customer service was nothing less than first class. Care, concern and decisive leadership set them apart...thank you!!!
