There are also a couple of flight schools located here, including a helicopter school. If you are considering basing your single engine aircraft here, you are better off basing it at phoenix deer Valley airport for cost effectiveness.

But i understand that is needed to allow both populations ( pre and post security) to access the sky trains. Maybe they can consider stronger aircon - and maybe air purifier in the sitting areas. When the weather is hot, there are also some strange smells lurking in the airport.

Needless to say it wasn't welcoming at all. But wow, what a transformation. I love the openness of this terminal and all of the windows. I feel like no matter where you're at in this terminal you can always see planes coming and going and the sunshine. It's definitely very clean. From the seating areas to the restrooms this terminal is well kept. Thank you sky Harbor airport for the beautiful terminal three we now have.

I found it was easy to navigate and clean. I was able to get off the plane and to my car pick up within just a few minutes. Fast and convenient without traveling 30 miles to Phoenix Sky Harbor or the hassle of driving around the terminals competing for curb pickup points. Late night arrival 10:20 pm. Utilized the hourly rate parking lot in front of the terminal's main entrance. I absolutely love this airport its convenience. Regional airlines have excellent pricing to numerous western cities. Regional airport with all the conveniences with a small town feel. They deliver Americas Finest my friends-SYOY!

Our flight from Phoenix to Portland was on Boeing 737 Max 8 plane that had 175 passengers, 2…read morepilots, and 4 flight attendants. This is bigger and a little roomier with larger overhead bins that you stand your carry-on upright not laying down. The only problem is that if you have an aisle seat you are constantly being hit every time someone walks by as the aisles are now smaller. They did ask for volunteers to check bags for free as it was a full flight, which some people did do. They served us a package of Remy's Grahams Cinnamon Crackers and Stellar Mini Pretzel Braids as snacks. They do have an array of free and hot beverages as well as beverages for purchases. The flight was very peaceful. Our only complaint was the plane was freezing cold and even though we asked several times if they could turn the heat on, it remained cold for entire flight. Note to passengers, bring a sweater or blanket to keep warm. The pilots did a skillful job on take-off and landing.

Southwest has undergone some changes recently which most travelers are aware of at this point…read more Instead of their famous open seating, now seats are assigned. Front of airplane seats are generally more expensive now. In addition, the first 6 rows of seats now have extra legroom, reserved overhead bin space and an extra snack/premium drink. The tickets cost more of course. In terms of luggage, two free checked bags are no longer automatically free. You have to pay $40+each checked bag unless you have a choice extra ticket or you have a Chase Southwest credit card where you get one free checked bag. Also if you book a Southwest vacation, you also get two free checked bags. Is life better now than in the past? from a strictly price situation, no. Old Southwest and their two free checked bags were unbeatable in price. However, an airline has a right to do what it needs to do to survive and life without Southwest Airlines is much worse. As a consumer you have to of course get their credit card now to fully maximize on savings vs in the past. That sucks but what can you do? But now there's really differences if you're willing to pay more. On the confort and stress level situation, assigned seats are better. Gone are the days of ppl taking advantage of pre-board policies by pretending they need a wheelchair to get the front seats. Gone are the days of checking-in on the app 22 hours ahead of time instead of 24 hours ahead and being assigned a B55 boarding assignment. No more saving seats either. Assigned seats eliminate all that. There's still some improvements to be made but the boarding system is better now. Service remains Southwest friendly and professional so that's of course good. Operationally Southwest is still very efficient and quick. Overall, i still love the Luv airline as it keeps positivity in the air.

From where you park you get to the ticket counter in three minutes, and then through security & to your gate in less than five minutes. All the staff have a warming small town vibe and it's always relaxed and a pleasure to fly through this airport. I'm used to LAX so this is just a treat!

Absolutely fantastic service. We landed at Sky Harbor yesterday and experienced a main tire blowout…read moreon landing. We were disabled on the runway and their ramp team, under the leadership of Greg, was extremely helpful. Never once was safety compromised while they coordinated with airfield operations to secure and tug our disabled aircraft off the runway. Once safely off the runway, they assisted us in finding a maintenance company and the right parts to get airborne again. We were back flying within five hours of the incident! This never happens. The people at Swift were amazing hosts and customer service was nothing less than first class. Care, concern and decisive leadership set them apart...thank you!!!

They take care of all the little and big details to make sure you do not spend much time on the ground and get you in the air as soon as possible. They also park your car in a private security lot and wash your car when you return. Excellent service. Plus they have the best prices on jet fuel in the Airpark. If you're coming into Scottsdale or you keep your jet in Scottsdale this is the spot to be.
