This is probably my favorite dog park in the Solano County area. For a regular people park it's…read moregreat too! Lots of paved paths for walking. Baseball fields. A skate park. Exercise equipment. A large field for soccer games. Lots of parking. Restrooms and water fountains. Play structures for children. I considered buying a house in this area partially for this park. The dog park is separated into two areas which are not connected. The small dog park is very flat and down some steps or a slope from the restroom picnic area. The large dog park is to the left and goes on a hill. The large dog park has two paved paths. One is like a switch back. The other goes straight up the hill. There's water fountains for the dogs at both the top and bottom of the park. There are also two double gated entrances. The park has some agility structures at the top of the hill, some metal benches throughout, waste bags and trash bins. The landscaping is mostly dirt/bark. There are plenty of trees in the park so the dogs to sniff. It's a great park for the sniffari type of dogs. It's also quite large! It's great for getting your steps in to walk up and down the paths. Most of the people I've met there have been great. On one occasion I have seen a dog walker bringing in 10+ dogs at once... The only words of caution I have would be to dress for the wind and in the summer I have witnessed a snake in the dog park.

Cordelia community Park is the hidden gym of Fairfield parks! This park has :…read more 3 CTVLL baseball fields, 1 rec baseball field, free open lawn space for soccer, volleyball, golf, workout equipment along the trails, two parks with multiple activities for kids of all ages, multiple picnic and reservation areas for parties with covered patios, barbecue pits and grills, bocce ball courts, 2 ENCLOSED dog parks for small vs large, ample parking , super clean bathrooms (for rec parks), tennis courts, basketball courts, And a skate park! The only downside is no matter what because of the location expect high winds at almost all times of the year and day. One of the greatest things I love about this park and I hope to preserve is how clean it is . Rarely as their trash scattered and almost always the parties pick up after themselves where they can meaning they put their stuff and bag it up and put it in the trash or take it out to the dumpsters. This matters when you have a community space ! there's also bulletin boards throughout that show when the parks are reserved for events or when the tables have reservations for parties. (to book reservations or parties you do it directly through the Fairfield rec and parks website.) Last but not least they have a shared book library . It's been there for about three years now I believe.

My little one and her cousins really enjoyed visiting this park throughout the summer. It was a…read morenice way for them to beat the heat while enjoying themselves. Magnolia Park is still newer, so of course it looks beautiful and well-kept. There are covered bench and table areas to enjoy a picnic or even throw a party. Those, unfortunately, are the only shaded areas at the park. Given how hot Vacaville can get, this is quite disappointing. The dining areas are fairly clean, for the most part. We will, unfortunately, always have individuals who will not clean up after themselves though. In regard to play areas, there are a couple areas where both big kids and little ones can enjoy. The jungle gym areas have bark to help soften kids' falls. I'm personally not a fan of the bark, since it gets in shoes, cause splinters, and what not. Thankfully, other areas have a thicker rubber covering the ground. There is also a water station where kids can play and enjoy playing in the cool water. This was a huge hit for many of the kids (and adults with their children) during the summer.

The entrance is like walking through a castle to a whole new world gated inside. It was clean, grassy, huge and open spaces with different areas to play for the kids. There are benches and picnic tables everywhere too. They also have restrooms on site too. Lots of grassy and shady areas to hang out as well. Our grandbaby had a great time running everywhere to her hearts content and she cannot wait to go back again with her parents.

And I do not say that lightly. As soon as you enter through the castle doors, you are transported into a mini Disneyland found in Vallejo, CA. As someone who was raised in this city, I did not expect this. This park truly Wow'd me for several reasons. One, the uniqueness of the play structures. There's a handful of them including a tea cup/ tea pot area, train station and train, pirate ship, pumpkin carriage and more. Our personal favorite; the tea cup with the connected slide, so fun!! My family and I easily spent two hours here. You can also book some spots for parties. I highly recommend checking out the GVRD's website. Theres shaded gazebos and many picnic tables. They even have story time and other events here. Theres a parking lot available and hours as well. They are closed on Tuesdays. 100 out of 10 recommend this park.

Nice little park with a splash and play zone for those hot summer days…read more At this park you'll find two playgrounds, baby swing seats, regular/tire swings, and a water play area that you can turn on whenever. When you push the button for the water area a set of sprinkles will shoot water up in some random pattern for kids to run around in. The water area seems like it's suited for toddlers, but even older kids really like it and will crowd you out if you're not careful, it's playground rules after all. The city is pretty good about keeping the park clean and fixing broken equipment, which they better be since local residents are paying monthly maintenance fees. :) I come here all the time with my son and we never see anything too jarring as far as trash goes and even if the equipment is dirty, it's usually cleaned up by the next time we visit. There's also a set of 4 picnic tables under a gazebo type structure, along with a few other tables and bbq grills around the playgrounds. Thankfully there are also some trees lined up close to the playgrounds and these provide some shade for parents in case the picnic tables are too far to keep an eye on the little ones. A short distance from the playgrounds there is a half court for basketball and a small skateboarding area. To be honest it looks like this area is not totally finished. I would pack some extra clothes in case your little one decides to get wet on a hot summer day :)
