not overly thrilled with the work done. i had a bad tire on my daughters car when she got to the house. I for a couples tires and needed them mounted. the good part - they were able to get it done. couldnt get it in for a couple days. not a problem. for some reason no other shop close by wanted the business for some reason? cost was reasonable and timely. the bad - when I was putting the wheels back on the car. I noticed the rim had been damaged from the tire machine. I let it go because it's not a show car or anything. a week later the new tire was low on air. thought just a fluke. a few days later the tire went flat going down the highway. this is when I discovered a gouge on the inside of the rim where the bead seats. causing a slow leak till it gets to about 30psi. then doesn't have enough pressure to stay seated and goes flat with in a minute. now I have to pay someone to dismount and fix the rim and remount. accidents happen. but the person mounting the tires should have seen it when it happened, and fixed it right there. or made it right if they couldn't. I haven't had a lot of experience with them. but not a great first impression. hopefully this isnt normal practice. read more

We have an 2000 Isuzu Trooper and they are hard to find people to work on them since they are Foreign cars. Table Rock Auto Clinic though is amazing. They did a great job with suburb service and they were fast. They put in new U-Joints, new starter, and various other items. They do the oil changes on it for us and we will be back soon to have the shocks done. Even though Shell Knob is a small town they have some of the best mechanics I have ever seen. I would trust them with any car of ours. read more

Thought I would try this garage to replace a headlight. The mechanic didn't know how to do it and even though there was a new headlight, he didn't seat it right and in addition, he tried to adjust the other one. We got in the car to drive at night and there was a big dark gap, very dangerous. I had to go to the dealer to get it done right. Spoke to the owner and he refused to refund labor. It's one thing to make a mistake, another to refuse to make it right. Avoid Table Rock Auto!!! read more

Brought my Chevy in because it was having Low Oil Pressure warnings. I called before I drove it there to see of they can check my oil pressure with a mechanical gauge. Since Chevy's have many issues that could lead to a false warning, I wanted the sending unit checked out and the oil pump and the oil pressure to be read with a mechanical gauge. They had my truck for two full days. I never received a phone call or anything. Finally right before closing time on the second day, I called them. I was never able to see or talk to a mechanic, only the receptionist. She told me that they didn't get to my truck. No one had time to look at anything. It just sat there for 48 hours. When I went to pick up my truck the receptionist apologized for not calling me. She seemed like she was trying to make an effort to be nice despite the fact they did nothing for me because they were just too busy. 48 hours and not one person could check my oil pressure so I know if its safe to drive.. I won't bring any vehicle back here. A real shame that there isn't more mechanics to choose from around Shell Knob. I just moved here with my family and they would have made a couple new customers. Instead they act like they already have too much work and they obviously don't need any more customers. I had to risk driving it further than I should have with an oil pressure problem. They should of told me when I called that they were too busy and wouldn't be able to get to it for several days. Complete waste of time and they were zero help to me. read more

Took my old motorhome in for a safety check-up before a big trip. We specifically asked that they do a safety check of the vehicle. We also asked that they check the spark plugs and everything to make sure everything was ready for our trip. The vehicle was at their shop for a week and a half. Everyone there was very friendly but every time I spoke to them, they had some totally random new issue that needed to be fixed. We ended up with a huge bill, but we figured it was worth it for the safety of our family on our trip. Before we even got out of Missouri, the vehicle began misfiring badly. So we took it into another mechanic after passing over to Kansas. The mechanic told us that the misfire was a wiring issue, but that there was a gas leak that was literally poring gasoline onto a shorted spark plug. He asked us if we had any enemies, because this looked like someone was trying to kill us. He told us that he could hardly believe it didn't blow. Table Rock Auto Clinic told me that our belts were the originals and needed to be replaced, but I know that's not true because they were replaced in California, before coming out to Missouri. They replaced my muffler and a trusted mechanic in Oregon was appalled by what he said was awful welding. Not only did they find a bunch of random stuff to charge us for, they never even fulfilled our request for a safety check. They never looked at the engine (it's an old dodge and you just have to pull the "doghouse" off from the inside to look at the engine. It's very simple). They never checked the spark plugs. They completely overlooked a highly dangerous repair that was needed. We live near this place and would have been regular customers had they treated us right. Almost $1500 wasted. I've never left a poor review before. I usually only use yelp to leave reviews for businesses I loved. This was an exception because their negligence could have killed me and my family. read more

we have used tr auto for flat tires in the past and that is all I think they should be good for. very expensive and they take way too long to get to your vehicle to do the work. would not have them do anything major on any of my vehicles. read more
