We read the menu online and decided to give it a try. We ate outside overlooking the river on a beautiful temperate evening. Our waiter David was extremely polite and attentive. The specials as described all sounded delicious, but everything on the menu sounded delicious too. We had the Crispy Brussels sprouts, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Cappicola toast to start. Our entrees were the Duck breast, Shrimp fettuccine, and Mushroom Risotto with the scallops. EVERY dish was excellent! I'm writing this review because I really hope a manager or the owner sees it. My boyfriend and I absolutely love the food at this restaurant. It's divine, the specials are amazing, the house cocktails are always refreshing and fantastic and the main menu has been and never ceases to be just taste bud heaven. We've never had a bad meal. However, the service is ridiculously awful. Like absolutely terrible. In fact so bad I said after the last time in a row that it was horrible, that if it was bad again I'd stoop to the bottom and write a yelp review. We've had our order forgotten for 45 minutes -it was brunch and we were with friends so it wasn't too bad, we've been straight up ignored (twice in two visits in a row) by our waitress/waiter. In fact so much so that (the second time) we asked a server who walked by if we could get someone to give our drink order to and he straight up rolled his eyes at us and said "what do you want". We both had to think about if we knew this guy and he hated us outside of the restaurant for some reason (we didn't and had no connection to him). After that he put our drinks on the table, while talking to another table (presumably his friends by how nice he was to them) and then never came back to take our food order. So we had to motion him over and said can we put food in, he said "im just waiting on your meals itll be a few minutes" very rude like we were annoying him. We said we hadn't even put any in and again he rolled his eyes and, again, asked us "what do you want". So we put in our food and he went back to chat with his table of friends. Well we waited and waited and eventually asked a different server to check on our food. She went to the back and immediately ran it to us....The food was wrong to the way we'd ordered but we knew at this point he obviously didn't care. Then without checking on us, asking if we wanted new drinks, boxes, anything. He put the check on the table and said "whenever". I literally debated asking for a manager but wimped out bc i don't want to complain about a server because I am one too. But i mean, this was seriously reprehensible service. I love the food at this restaurant, it is divine, like I've said I have never once had a bad meal. It's different cuisine for Morgantown and I'm in love with it that's why I keep coming back despite feeling like I'm inconveniencing the servers. I just would really like to see this change because we want to keep coming back and treating ourselves to a special meal from table 9 but have been repeatedly met with the same poor service. Great authentic local restaurant with artesian cousin, small size plates and excellent food

This looks like the beer, bourbon and a burger special for $15. This is a great offering from Table 9 and is what I usually go for. However, I have enjoyed their other offerings as well, not to mention a nice variety of West Virginia beers. read more

Have had brunch here a few times and dinner once. Always have had excellent service and tasty food and drink. Love to sit out on the patio.

The service was nonexistent, the floor needed a good scrubbing and it has the atmosphere of a school cafeteria or a bus station. While it was recommended as a great restaurant by the hotel I was staying in and the menu looked promising, I was totally underwhelmed. read more

Food was beautifully plated and delicious. My husband ordered the flatbread and park cheeks; I ordered the fried pickles, beet salad and duck. All dishes were delicious!!! I was confused by the service as they were not busy but service was slow. Lastly, they have the MOST uncomfortable chairs. All in all I think the restaurant needs to settle on an identity: either a burger/beer joint or a farm to table place. read more

Great food and drinks but they are trying to do a tapas style thing with pub food. It's honestly a great idea but I wish they had more options because I want to go here for date nights, that doeant really work with such small portions and it's fairly expensive so I can't afford a few entrees to fill me up. I think this place would work better in a bigger city but if they want to succeed I think they need to rethink their portioning. Had a party for my wife's 40th at Table 9. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent as was the wine and beer selection. I have stopped here for lunch a few times since and I was very happy with the food. read more

I have been here on 2 different occasions and absolutely love it! The first time I got the shrimp carbonara which was such a flavorful experience and the second time I got the hanger steak which is small but the mashed potatoes that came with it was delicious too. It definitely is pricey but for the quality it was definitely worth it. I'd recommend this place if you want to celebrate a special occasion or have the budget. read more

Stopped in Morgantown on our road trip and tried out Table 9. Food was delicious. Usually my husband and I are avid sharers so we could taste a wider variety of food, but there was no sharing this time because we each loved our plate so much. We got the avocado egg Benedict and fried chicken croissant. The staff were also super friendly and cheerful. I wish we were there during the summer so we could sit outside by the river, but I liked how the inside had so much natural light from the big windows. read more

Went there yesterday morning for brunch, but I've been several times beforehand on Tuesdays for their bourbon, burgers, and beer special. The fries are bomb with their sriracha and garlic aioli and the burgers are usually pretty creative so I highly recommend a Tuesday visit. The brunch was decent. Also sit outside. Table9 was above and beyond, excellent food, service, and atmosphere. if you want bar food and chicken wings hit BW3's, if you want an adult meal in an intimate locale Table9 is the place. Tuesdays! $15 for a beer, a burbon and a burger (Eagle Rare or Knob Creek). The burger was cooked just the way I ordered and tasted amazing! Table 9 has been around for almost 2 years. I've enjoyed most all meals here. Tonight was only average. The Siracha fries are always terrific. The watermelon salad is fantastic but the beets work better with it than cherry tomatos. The lamb chops were well prepared and quite good. The Siracha fries are always great. The red snapper special with a curry sauce was so-so. It was missing something, a bit of basil or cilantro perhaps. I picture the curry sauce served with couscous or brown rice too. Most disappointing was the shrimp carbonara. It was way too heavy and rich. And the flavor was not "there". This is not a spring/summer dish in my opinion. They have done much better. Maybe it was an "off night". The service is always excellent and that alone keeps me coming back. read more

Such a cute hip restaurant! I got the cheeseburger and fries which was super tasty! My mom got the flatbread veggie melt sandwich was also amazing! The fried zucchini in the flatbread was delicious! Had a great dinner with family here last month. Could not stop ordering. Plate after plate, big and small, everything was awesome! Carnitas tacos special was fantastic and I lived in Texas for 8 years. Wish they had a larger draft beer selection, but understand this is not a beer joint. Noise level is high here due to the design of the building. This was a plus for us as we were dining with my perfectly behaved ;) 17 month old daughter, but could be a con if you are hard of hearing or are looking for intimate conversation. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the reasonable prices on the larger dishes. Highly recommended. read more

My husband and I had dinner at Table 9 and both agree that it was one of the best meals that we've had in a very long time. We each ordered something different from the specials and regular menu. Every dish was delicious, creative and beautifully presented. The pan fried ricotta, devils horseback (which everyone should try once in a lifetime) and scallops were delicious, but the tuna and filet were exceptional. Chef Donnie actually came to our table to see if we were pleased with our meals. Our server was very familiar with the menu and checked with us after each course. We liked the casual atmosphere but upscale menu and the fact they use local produce in season is an extra plus. Also, the location along the waterfront is beautiful.
