Table 1912 is back! Exterior signage has Table 1912 on the left, Gilmore's Pub on the right and double glass entry doors to the right of that patio. Go straight and take a left through Gilmore's, to reach Table 1912. Wasn't super intuitive but you'll figure it out. Attended their pre-opening dinner, and tried, well, everything. Comfortable, friendly, attentive service (note: when you make your reservation you can request your server). A beautifully paced 4-course meal. I'm sure if you wanted to you could just order what you want and be done with it, but otherwise ordering of drinks, salad/soup course, entree and dessert is paced out, allowing for visiting, enjoyment of the restaurant, drinks, food, and your company. Our meal was about 2 hours. We started with the baked clams, bacon jam croquettes, and pork belly. Clams were my favorite but all were wonderful. The pork belly was a delightful combo of sweet and salty. For salads we got the ginger orange salad and the steak salad (they were out of the carrot bisque). The ginger orange salad was a nicely balanced sweet, bitter (from the greens), and salty (parm crisp) concoction. The steak in that salad was incredibly tender. A classic combination of flavors with olives, feta, quality Italian dressing. For entrees our table got the stuffed chicken, lamb, and the strip loin. The lamb was tender, tasty, with the right amount of gamey flavor, and the mushroom strudel was to die for. Crunchy, delicious, really incredible flavors--would be great as a stand alone appetizer option as well. Our friend enjoyed his chicken. The steak was fine, but probably would try something else next time (it was a little tough, and the garlic mashed potatoes were only ok). On to dessert. Wow! Turtle cheesecake (forgot picture) was very good, our friend loved the red velvet cake-beautiful presentation. But the star of the show was the lowly ice cream sundae. Usually just an after thought on a menu for kids or the unadventurous. But oh.my.god. A scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate ice cream, both from Hansen's dairy. A house made cookie crumbled for the base, (note: everything on the menu is house made best i can tell), black cherry sauce, chocolate sauce, and marshmallow cream. Soooooo good. Enough for two for sure but don't feel bad if you don't want to share. A full bar, good beer selection, and a nice featured cocktail menu. Not conventional. A surprisingly intimate restaurant located in an event center. Service was fantastic. The food... Very surprising. Delicious actually. Premium selections for wine. And you should stay for dessert. I had the crème brûlée, but love the fact that there is a weekly cheesecake option, because who doesn't like cheesecake. This is a great new restaurant in Cedar Falls, IA. It's not on Main Street meaning it's not downtown but I like that I don't have to arrive half an hour early just so I can find a parking spot within walking distance. Table 1912 is a cool fine-dining restaurant which sit nestled with two other restaurants Caraway Cafe and Gilmore Pub all together forming a culinary trinity for all the foodies in the area. This was my third trip to Table 1912. We started with the Tuna Tartare which was as fresh as they come with guacamole and served on golden beet. It was an Amazing appetizer. We then shared a Romano salad which was served with a blue cheese deviled egg, something I've never had before. For my entree I ordered the sweet potato wrapped prawn and my husband ordered the duck breast. We were too full to order any dessert on this trip. The service was excellent as always with the manager Meena stopping by to check on us to make sure everything was going well. We will definitely return! read more

If Midwest mediocrity was a religion this would be its temple. The lights were so bright I could see people's pores. The tomato bisque I had was very good, the attention was a little intrusive, the salads were fresh yet nothing you could not find at a chain restaurant (and please somebody teach the wait staff that "Italian" is not pronounced "ai/talian"). The menu sounds great, quite a bit of variety but execution was limited for our experience. It felt understaffed which might have contributed to the entrees being Luke warm to cold, especially the steaks. The bone in ribeye, although a decent cut, should be thicker and lacked much seasoning. The lamb Wellington was also served Luke warm, disappointing as it has potential. Al;though the chef delivers the entrees, I think he should spend more time in the kitchen, making sure the food is served on time. The sides that we ordered were all forgotten. There's work to be done for sure, but the restaurant has potential, there's just a lot of tweaking to be done for sure. read more

My husband and I were looking for a cozy, romantic dinner but this was really not the place. The atmosphere was kind of cold; the type of restaurant you'd go to for a nice business lunch or dinner but probably not a date. They had a decent menu and offered us tempting specials. The dinner salad was not great. I ordered a filet medium rare for my entree but when it was served to me it was medium well, or in other words ruined. Our server was very sweet and let the kitchen know but the chef wouldn't come out speak with us. At the very end of our meal we were offered a free dessert and a small percentage off of the check, which was nice. However, in this kind of establishment you expect to see the head chef in the dining room, especially if something goes wrong. For now it's 3 stars but we might go back to see if we have a better experience a second time around. read more

The menu is varied and delicious. The service is friendly and helpful. The sommelier and chef are incredibly attentive and really care about each guest having a great experience. Ask for wine pairings from Meena when you order - she will always provide great recommendations. Tonight (not our first time - every night is great) our party ate lamb, sea bass, duck breast, ribeye, and NY strip. Everything was perfectly cooked, the presentation was gorgeous, and it was delicious. Even better, they focus on local, farm-to-fork fare. WOW! The two stars are probably VERY liberal. The concept....fine dining in a retirement village setting is worth one of the stars. The idea of an upscale menu, close to parents or grandparents is to be aplauded! The service....FANTASTIC, our server was very attentive to our needs, not hovering, yet obviously within eyesight of your table at all times. Worth another of the stars. The menu was limited, and upscale. The setting was contemporary, with seating for what I estimate to be 80ish. 6:30 Friday evening, in July 2018, and at most 12 guests in the restaurant was the first RED FLAG. Menu prices were at the higher end of metro area, but certainly not unseen, nor unexpected. Enough of the nicey, nice! My wife ordered an herb crusted chicken breast...it includes a hidden bone and cartilage. I wonder why the chef of a seemingly upscale restaurant allows such an inferior product in there back door, let alone send it to a guest. I ordered a bone-in rib-eye, medium, FIRST the cut was AT MOST 1/4" thick, or 10mm for my metric friends. One edge of the steak was at most RARE, the other part was WELL done, so I guess in this chef's eye it was medium! The asparagus was not over done, in fact it was cold! At the end of the evening, having spent $100 + the $20+ tip, I feel violated. read more

So, the location is different. The lights could be dimmed a bit more, it was very bright. Started with well put together martinis. Dinner came with bread and a few butter spreads that were very good. Salads were very fresh. The main course, I had the duck breast and my wife the salmon. The cuts were cooked perfectly and very flavorful sauces to accompany them. The chef delivered the mains himself. The service was a bit thin, I think due to a large wedding, I would have contemplated four stars for this, however the chef brought out a cypress plate on the house. I absolutely think this was the highlight of my week. It was a flavor explosion of local sources we were not expecting. Overall, the price was on-point and the experience was very good. read more

We had a group of 11out for an evening get together. We had very mixed opinions. My wife had the light menu sirloin, which was very good. I and another gentleman chose the special which was a short rib dinner. The portions were more fat than anyone should eat and there may have been 2 ounces of lean meat. There were no sides with the special. My wifes dinner came with salad and desert for $18 Mine was $21. At the end all the bills were by couple and it took 3-4 trys bfore they got them right. don't think a eturn visit is in our future. read more

We've dined everywhere. Paris, London, Burj Al Arab in Dubai. This Cedar Valley find makes the cut; it's not an exaggeration. Service is always excellent and we appreciate a waitstaff that knows what they're doing. We've ordered everything from sandwiches to dinners and each item has been perfect. The Blackberry Chipotle Alfredo is my personal favorite. Didn't know what to expect when ordering but our server, Noelle, recommended it. Never would've imagined those flavor combos working but this chef knows what he's doing. If you're looking at apps, their cheese curds are perfection. Don't quite know what the seasoning is, but don't stop making these! Prices are better than we expected for the quality foods they serve, and that's always a plus. Also worth mentioning is that there's something on the menu for every age group (we have young children). Lucky to have this top-notch establishment so close by. read more
