Quick stop for a potty break. It's right off the highway so it's easy to get to me get back on your way. When u walk in the restrooms are not up front and don't have a sign but they are around the back to the left. That's all I needed and left. So it sufficed my needs. It's creepy quiet on the toilet tho. Lol

Nice little store and truck stop. love all the train decor in it. had a nice clean little restaurant as well as a burger king attached. offers hot dogs and nachos as well. prices for hot dogs was really decent. but don't get a refill. 44 ounce refill in whataburger cup cost me 1.25 I can go.a hundred other places and get it for .75 i would have been fine paying .86 cents for one too. i was headed home and not feeling well so i just took it and left.

I stopped here after driving my tractor-trailer from Chicago and wasn't expecting such a clean and nice shower!

The price of gas just keeps going up again!…read more Ready for a very short review... it's a gas station. The pumps work, the price is on par with the other stations around and they have the same old same old snacks and drinks as about 90% of the other gas stations out there. Nothing special

My travel routine to either College Station, Austin, or Killeen consists of stopping at the first…read moregas station that I see. In this case, it is Exxon on I-35 southbound. Convenient, clean, & quirky is pretty much how I'll sum this location up. While this location is convenient for travelers to access the station quickly from the road, the bathrooms are about as clean as any Buc-ees you'll encounter. The men's bathroom is Texas huge, with pictures of Clint Eastwood & other cowboy legends adorn the walls, staring at you as if they are daring you to make a mess of things. The Exxon is a bit quirky, since it offers pie upon fried pie here. Of course, it helps that there is a bakery attached to the store as well. But that's what every traveler wants, right? To eat a fried pie or two and fart up your car like you are in a Cheech & Chong movie as you proceed down I-35. The employees here mean well, yet sort of act a little "off" sometimes. I go to the counter to purchase a burger, and the employee (after seeing me) walks in the backroom, never to be seen again. No burger for me on this day, yet there are tons of pies that can be eaten as an alternative. Another employee asks for me to pay him $60 in gas (despite my non-diesel 15 gallon tank) when I clearly said $16 to fill the tank. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Certainly some characters are at this Exxon station. Nonetheless, this Exxon is okay.

Dancing Frogs! This is one of the weirdest, most Texan…read moretruck stops that I've ever been to. On the roof of the place, you'll find a few giant dancing frogs, made by the Texas artist, Daddy-O Wade. The frogs are immortalized playing Mexican musical instruments, like a froggy mariachi band on the roof of the pump area. Nice. Daddy-O Wade made other famous Texan works of art, like the giant boots outside of North Star Mall in San Antonio, and the giant tractor trailer sign made out of ranch gates also along I-35E. I'd always heard that this truck stop used to have an ulterior purpose here back in the day. It used to be that the signs would change from "Gas" to a lit martini glass at night, hinting at what else goes on at this truck stop at night. Inside, the place looks ancient and worn. In the entry way, be sure to check out all the signed photos and head shots of the famous celebrities that have stopped by. This is Willie Nelson's favorite gas station! George Strait apparently likes their tacos. I've heard that the story of this place was that since this town is in the middle of the belt buckle of the Bible Belt, you couldn't buy beer here in this part of Texas for the longest time. Then one day Carl decided he was sick of sobriety, so he bought the town, which was a few mobile homes. He incorporated it separately from the rest of the community, and became mayor of his own town, which he named after himself, and built this truck stop as City Hall. Once he was in power, he immediately legalized the sale of beer, and relaxed the rules. Hoooray! The system works. After he legalized alcohol, he set up a strip club in the back of the gas station, with mirrored ceilings, a stage, and a pole in the center. But it's classy, people get married here. At one point, he had a swimming pool for the truckers, and sold giant chicken fried steaks. Send that mayor to Washington! They sell beer here now. Lots of Lone Star Beer and Shiner. They also have truck driver supplies, like caffeine pills, CB antennae, and mud flaps with a silhouette of a naked lady. They also sell Bio-Willie, which is Willie Nelson's own brand of gasoline, made from renewable resources. A while back, part of the truck stop burned down, but the giant mariachi frogs on the roof miraculously survived. It's been lovingly rebuilt, but it's not quite the same. The pool and the steaks are gone. There are showers in the back, for truckers, that work on quarters. The place is clean, and they offer lots of snack, drinks and parking. The truck stop is located along the way from Waco to Dallas.

Who doesn't like a truck stop?…read more Normally don't stop here, haven't in many years, but I'm 13 miles from my next pit stop, and when a man's gotta go, he's gotta go! Nice restroom! Showers, washer/dryers, Iron Skillet restaurant, gas, food, the sound of diesels ramping up and ramping down, what's not to like? I didn't buy anything, just a quick stop, so thanks Carl, thanks Willie, maybe next time, have a good day, I'm south bound and down!
