TA Express Fairfield doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside it has all the kinds of amenities that roadtrip warriors can appreciate. It has become a perpetual destination for whenever I'm on the road and it's open 24/7. As I understand it, it's only been around for the past couple of years. As a result the place still feels new, is bright and has a lot going on. The bathrooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. The people behind the counter are usually nice ladies, and there are multiple areas to pay for things. Thus, no lines and even when things are busy, it never feels crowded. Aside from the attached Whataburger, they have their own line of hot (mainly fried) foods from potato wedges to fried chicken. "Crispidos" are their local claim to fame and basically giant fried taquitos. It's most definitely crispy and filling, and I can see why people enjoy them so much. This is also a trucker sanctuary, equipped with gas stations and parking spots for semi-trucks, as well as a lounge and shower area. The rest of the shop has all of the road trip essentials from little snacks, cold drinks, and plenty of "Texas" souvenirs. Lastly, it's a Tesla Supercharger destination. I've yet to see the lot full, but 15 chargers means there's plenty to go around for everyone. read more

After a 30 minute drive, attempted to purchase a snack around 11:45pm, was told to wait until 12am, went to order food at the whataburger next door then proceeded back into the gas station at 12:02 grabbed my snack once again and was told again I was unable to purchase my bag of candy at the register & left, didn't make sense. read more

Great service, kind staff, showers, lounge, bathroom, Tesla chargers, good food selection and clean!

This is a wonderful gas station. We stopped here with a big group of kids. The place is clean and efficient. There is also a Whataburger and a Fried Pie Shop at the gas station. Great place to stop on I-45. We will stop here again if given the opportunity. read more

Genuinely one of the worst jobs I've had in customer service. I was hired on as a porter but wasn't disclosed what I was making until 2 weeks into the job. Once established, I offered to do more things such as cooking or running the register in order to gain more money. Within that same week, I had more positions to fill in the kitchen, at the register and power washing outside than I did actually getting to porter inside. When asked about, I was being "greedy" and "seeking out a raise too soon". I was told to "be patient". These are some of the many examples I have from being here just over a month. I have well over 50-60 pictures where I walked in to start my shift and almost every toilet is completely covered in feces and urine. Amazing store at face value, but the inner workings are atrocious. read more

Most amazing gas station i ever been to! It's very neat and clean! Restrooms are clean too. Whataburger right next to it, is amazing. They aren't stingy with their food supplies (pickles)etc. It's also very neat and they work fast! 10/10 very much recommended! read more
