We had a wonderful experience! Our garage door opener stopped working after being hit by lightning,…read moreand since the opener is about 25 years old, we weren't sure whether it made sense to repair or replace. He took the time to look everything over and clearly explained all of our options. He told us we could try to replace the board but could not guarantee it would fix the problem, what our cost would be if we purchased a new opener ourselves and had him install it, and also gave us an option for a complete new system that he recommended and could install. I appreciated there was absolutely no pressure. He was honest, knowledgeable, kind, and very professional, and gave us the information we needed to make the decision that was best for us. It's refreshing to deal with someone who takes the time to explain everything and doesn't just try to sell you the most expensive option. Best of all, from the time we made the call to him to a new garage door opener being installed was under 4 hours! We would definitely recommend him to anyone needing garage door service.

I've been having a challenging time getting someone to come out to my home to do some repair work with the "prep your house for Masters season" in full swing...I see you slapping your knee, ha! Moving along, I gave Rick a call based on a recommendation from another company who couldn't meet the timeline we needed the repairs done. To me, that says a lot about a person. His competitors are supplying him with business, so now their reputation is on the line too. Rick was great about following up with me and scheduling the work within a few days. He called ahead to let me know he was on the way and got right to work. While I don't know the technicalities of repairing a door frame, I do know about people skills and apparently he has both. He was patient with my daughter when she rushed over almost touching the wet paint, he was friendly and polite. Overall, I'm very pleased with his work and appreciate that he asked for feedback before he left. Working with the general public isn't always easy and you have to possess specific qualifications to come into a stranger's home and put them at ease. Thank you for your craftsmanship and good conversation! I would highly recommend Rick and hire him again.

When we finally made the choice to have someone take care of the problems with our deck, we really weren't sure where to turn. However, a referral to Tom and his company turned out to be one of the two best contractor choices we've made. Unusual events created circumstances where finishing this project was not going to be easy or predictable. But in spite of everything, Tom never missed a beat when regularly communicating with us or when making sure that the project completed, and completed with extreme attention to detail and finished look. We have the highest regard for Tom and Southern Pride Stain and every time we sit out on our new Trex deck, we will recall the energy and effort that was expended, in the midst of difficult circumstances, to ensure that our expectations were exceeded. Oh, and his prices were more than reasonable!
