We noticed that it seemed to "bounce" on opening since purchasing it, but about 24 hours prior to the service we noticed that after completing an opening cycle the door would start to slip down. ProLift technician Jared, was able to come out within an hour of my telephone call. He diagnosed the problem and consulted with other staff at the company to provide me with solution: increasing the spring tension, lubricating the end bearing and rollers, and resetting the limits on the opener. There was no charge for the service call, only the labor, which amounted to $159 for our two-car-sized door. I did locate a sticker in the garage that suggested perhaps Precision had installed the door when the home was constructed. Jared also found some indicator on the hardware indicating Precision had installed it. I had called Precision after initally scheduling the appointment with ProLift, and Precision wanted $95 just to come out. I told them, "No, thank you."
