He arrived on time, answered all our questions and was extremely professional throughout the entire process. Our overhead door system had failed for some reason so we called the Overhead Door Company. Their technician inspected it and said the motor had failed and that a new motor was needed. We purchased a comparable one and called the company to install it. The technician returned and attempted to install the new motor and assembly. He told us that unfortunately the door sensors that came with the new unit were faulty and we'd have to order new ones. He said he had done all the wiring and that we could install the sensors ourselves. We purchased them and when they arrived, we installed them according to the instructions. But even with the new sensors the unit still did not work. We inspected the wiring and discovered that the technician had connected the sensor wires to the wrong location on the motor. He also had mis-aligned the chain connection. We re-aligned the chain and attached the sensor wires to their correct location. The unit worked perfectly. We called the company and requested a refund. The owner said that he would send us a check for the initial visit ($120 which we gave in cash) and $40 for the sensors we purchased. We paid for the actual installation in full. it's been a month and we have received nothing. We would never use this company again. read more

I filled out the online form for a free estimate. After being contacted via email by a nice person named Abbie, we scheduled a service call to replace my two garage door openers in Grovetown. They were a no call, no show. After a seemingly effortless interaction, I could no longer get them to respond to emails asking if/when someone would be coming. I called, since they are the only local distributor listed on Overheaddoor.com. I was told that they needed additional information. I provided it and am back to being ghosted. At no point was I rude or unprofessional and I'm unsure why they don't want the business. read more

These guys did a fantastic job! We just bought a new house and the garage door was broken. Won't even open and when we forced it open it almost fell off and hit people. I called these guys and they came out tools look at it. They didn't pitch me for a bandaid repair. Told me the truth that it needed to be replaced. They gave me a great quote price. They did not pressure me at all about the sale. We got other quotes that were crazy high. We called them back and asked how soon they could do the install. Got it in 2 days later! The guys they sent out knew what they were doing and knocked the job out quick. They left no mess and you never would have known they were here. It took about a week to get the initial quote back from them because of weather delays, etc. but once I did, they kicked into high gear. They sent me pictures of doors that were in stock and that they could get quickly installed. Within about another week, my new garage door was installed. Technician was super polite and helpful, I can't say enough good things about Tony. However, this review has nothing to do with him, and everything to do with the company itself. We were told that the service fee of $85 is waived if you have them repair/replace your equipment, which we planned on doing. Service fee includes first hour for the technician to diagnose issue. Technician was here almost an extra 45 minutes working with our warranty company. I was charged the service fee plus an extra hour for his time ($170). The company is unwilling to now waive the service fee of $85, even though they are scheduled to come and replace with a new opener costing $575. I decided to cancel my appointment with this company and give my $575 to another company instead for a new garage door opener. Its ok Overhead Door of Augusta, you can keep that $85 dollars. This military veteran will keep my dignity by choosing to go elsewhere with my money. read more
