Nice local beach with fire pits and beautiful sunsets. We watched some surfers, walked down along the ocean, walked the pier, saw some Instagram influencers trying to get their perfect videos and then watched the sun go down. It was a nice end to a long week. I will be back soon. read more

T-Street Beach is a gorgeous location in San Clemente. It's a beautiful beach, with great waves and a wonderful walking trail that leads down to the San Clemente pier. The views at the beach are incredible. They have showers, relatively clean bathrooms and an awesome snack bar! Personally I love the trail and the views of the pier along the way! One thing to note is that most of the parking will be metered, but you can also find some in the residential areas as well. read more

Wow, what a find! Are there more beaches that are user friendly and loaded with fine white sand?? Probably, but good luck finding parking and a spot with ample space to set up camp on the beach ... you know what I mean? There're 2 identifying locations; the "Pier" and "Over-pass" We found a parking spot nearest to the Over-pass location; up the hill from the beach in a beautiful neighborhood. (see pic) There's also benches on the side of the street facing the ocean, great for watching the sunset. We brought Kentucky Fried chicken with sides of mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and cole slaw. Btw, did you ever notice how much better that chicken taste when eating at the beach? Remember, respect the neighborhood. Drive slow and don't litter. Thank you, enjoy! :) read more

Perfect waves, good for surfing, I like it a lot good beach overall. Go to the left side of the pier for a less rocky experience and stay away from it. Also watch out for sharks they tend to play around. read more

Hands down one of my favorite surf spots in southern california. First there are plenty of free parking on weekdays along the streets by the staircase, which is always a plus. The palm trees are tall and beautiful especially at sunset. The break is half beach break and half rock break due to the concrete mixed with rocks on the ocean floor, which gives the waves a very nice shape most days. Also it's a gentle mellow break, so it's alot easier to ride than some of the crazier spots like Blacks. There's also a nice outdoor shower on the beach next to the staircase to rinse off with freshwater so you don't smell like a fish for the rest of the day. There's always a good mix of folks at the beach: families, couples, singles, all ages. Love this place! read more

T Street is a great beach. I love San Clemente and all of the beaches here as well. This beach has very easy access from parking. Granted there isn't a ton of parking spots, but you can park on the residential streets. Especially in the Summer this place is packed, just like most easily accessible beaches - tourists and locals flock. The parking is metered by the hour, and I believe you only have to pay until 5/5:30pm (like the pier parking). There are bathrooms located on the South end of the beach (where the beach trail goes back on the east side of the train tracks), and one by the concession. Speaking of that, there is a concession stand/building with a lot of snacks and food for lunch. I'm pretty sure they are only open during the Summer (Memorial to Labor Day). The concession stand has multiple tables in a shaded area. You walk down stairs to get to the beach from the parking area, so this is not a good handicap accessible beach. Right by the bottom of the stairs there are showers. The beach also has a few tables, palm umbrellas, and BBQ pits. This beach is a designated surf beach for certain times of the day, so check surfline or the surf report. During the Summer they designate a certain area to be surf only, and another area for swim only. Great surfing beach if you know how to surf - more of a short board wave, but you can long board if you like. During the Summer there is a lifeguard on duty here as well. Overall, great beach. The only cons is that it is crowded and parking is hard to come by during the Summer, but that is what happens at most beaches here. read more

Think of this spot as the Oz for local bodyboarding. If you follow the concrete trail past the parking meter trees you can consult with the Wizard. He often gives the gift of barreled waves, though they are usually 3-4ft. This spot is great for pre-work and lunch surf sessions no matter the size and only becomes a problem when school is out. Due to the proximity to beach housing, many 8-17 year olds walk to the beach and it gets packed fast. Paddle battles at this spot are not fun because you'll either miss a wave for pulling out to let someone else go, or drop-in and get railed. More often than not you can find yourself surfing with local and world pro surfers, especially when they are in-town for the ASP tour. Either way, this place is usually toastin'. read more

But it was still fun. 3)The beach: (a little rocky) The shore is rocky... But then a few meters into the ocean... The ground is soft. For one who doesn't surf, I managed to get in the ocean and hang out with friends who enjoy being in the water. They taught me how to body surf// and it was good for that. 4 stars for pebbly sand and Coins-only limited parking. But otherwise sweet laidback "SoCal" beach where young and old locals hangout to lay out on beach with few tourists during a weekday. Located south of the Pier. Parking is located a walk above the hill crossing a pedestrian bridge above Amtrak commuter line. T-Street Beach is great for families. Sand is pebbly and medium size waves break early. Perfect boogie boarding and surf spot....even just to watch! Its away from the more busier beach spots located north up by the pier. There's the same gravel trail that runs the length of beach next to amtrak line to the pier with walkers, bicyclists, runners alike. A small snack bar with picnic seating area offering hot foods and sandwiches ice cream and shaved ice. ONLY CASH. There is an ATM inside small snack shop. There's an outdoor public shower with multi spouts right at end of pedestrian bridge at beach to wash away sand. Restrooms are accessible, not pretty or super clean. T-Street - Beaches Near Me - San Clemente, California

I feel like I'm breaking a code or something writing about this, but oh wells. T-Street - Trafalgar off of El Camino in San Clemente, is one of the best bodyboarding spots EVER. Parking here sucks, 'cause it will fill up quick, but seriously this place is pretty consistent, pretty good, and generally very chill. You can get to this beach if you just walk south from the pier in SC, but that is a bit of a hike. I haven't been back here in ages, but It's seriously a fun place to go to - Its fairly laid back, except when things are going off the hook. Then, it's fairly competitive to get a wave, but nothing too bad. It's part of the regular San Clemente Beach, so it's a fairly small shoreline, but nothing horrible. Surf conditions are based off of a reef, some seaweed forests, and a couple sandbars (plus some rocks). All in all, I should get my butt back down here again =) read more

T-Street is a BEAUTIFUL locals beach located in between the San Clemente Pier & Califia State Beach. It is more popular with body boarders than surfers but on any given day you can find many out in the water trying to catch the perfect wave. Because its entrance is located in a neighborhood, parking can be a nightmare so be prepared to drop off your gear at the entrance and drive around the winding streets surrounding trying to locate a free spot. I am most often here when running the San Clemente Beach Trail but the water is so beautiful and the beach so rock-free that more often than not I'll rest and stretch here just to watch the surfing show. This place rocks!!! Seriously, it's great. I took 2 patient's on an outting this weekend at my work. They wanted so badly to go to the beach, and I said "sure, why not" even though I thought the beach would be packed over this holiday weekend. Left the house at around 2:30pm...drove 10 minutes to get to this beach. Pulled in to park, and they had TONS of parking! Score! Walked down to the beach...it wasn't too crowded and we found a place to sit easily. Nice!! The water was nice and cool, sand was a bit rocky, nice waves, beautiful weather and lots of kids and adults too. The 2 patient's I took went swimming in the water, and they said it was so fun to bodyboard here! Sweet. Too bad I didn't bring my bathing suit to work or else I'd go too. Overall, great beach...nice atmosphere...and a nice way to spend 2 hours of "work" and get paid for it! This place is fun! read more

A San Clemente institution a lot of very good local surfers can be scene on this spot when it's on and be ready for paddle battles on good days. If you're just wanting to drink it all in bring a beach towel and take it all in...it's not uncommon to watch future tour surfers cut there teeth and T and you can always count on it taking in the swell a little better than the other breaks in town... Not uncommon to see old friends run into each other as they check out the conditions... Bring your camera and you'll come away with some shots to make your friends back East jealous... read more

Awesome waves very pristine beach. We walked down from nearby campground and had an awesome afternoon. Kids were climbing on the fallen trees on the beach. Only complaint is all of the locals only signs written along the way. A bit intimidating. This beach is just simply wonderful. So, my friend and I were at the San Mateo campgrounds and decided to look around the city because we were bored. She saw the "beach parking" sign and turned into Barcelona without asking me if I wanted to go (i did want to go though). The houses are beautiful there, over looking the ocean. The parking meter was way too expensive. It was 25 cents for 10 minutes. However, we didn't care and stayed at the beach for 3 hours. The water was just blue and clear and WOW. I would definitely come here again and bring my other friends to see the beach. It's not crowded, people are very nice, family oriented, surfers, and it's just great! :D I love this beach . read more

So I consider this my home surf. I've been out almost every day of every summer for the past, uh.. dang, 10 years now? Yeah. But this place gets a little "touristy" during the peak of summer, and the beach is frequented by day care groups however they don't bother the boadyboarders much. Oh i guess this is a good time to point out in the summer this area is BLACK BALLED. In the words of the life guards, every morning- "attention surfers, the time is now eleven O'clock, this beach is black balled which means it is closed to hard board surfing and open to swimming wading and bodyboarding only, if you wish to continue surfing you can paddle in and walk north, past the pier, or south past the orange flags." So leave your surfboard at home between June 15th (I believe) and Labor day. Unless you're there before 11, or after 5. Black ball goes up at 10 on weekends. I've seen so many people get called out of the water, or turned around in disappointment during black ball. During the other months though, you can do whatever you want. except for launch or land a boat, or anything stupid. Now why It has 4 stars rather than 5. As I mentioned above, this place gets packed. as you may expect like on the 4th of July, I don't go anywhere near the beach in a car, and I live like two blocks away. So other than main holidays- Days when it warms up Inland. Those trains roll in and the Telagans come out of their mansions and that place gets packed. Also you get the average tourist on those days to. the Solution to this? San Clemente has 26 Miles of coastline, Yall don't need to sit on the same grain of sand. read more

T-Street and San Clemente, what a wonderful place. To the lucky people that live there now, appreciate what you have. I lived there yrs. ago and would love to move back but my family is here on the east coast. I wish i had taken in more of all the great things to do in that area.
