They were celebrating Cal Raleigh aka "Big Dumper" and his iconic quote with a special limited-edition hat featuring "When It Rains, It Dumps." This ballpark is a giant party and I was happy to cheer on the A's and join in the fun! My husband and I are on a quest to visit all of the mlb ballparks and we visited this gem a couple years ago before he finally got out of the abusive relationship he was in with the A's ownership and joined me on the Giants cheering squad (that's another story for a different review :) T Mobile has various price points for seating and we were able to score some reasonably priced seats behind the visitor's dugout a couple hours before the gates opened. Seats were fantastic and the crowd noise is loud and immersive. My favorite area was in the outfield. There was a DJ and a giant party but somehow the sound stopped when a home run landed nearby and everyone cheered and high fived before starting the party back up again. Food was great and so were the margs. One star is off for the tiny size bag limits into the park. My usual small bag was turned away and I was forced to put all my items in my pockets, which I then in turn had to dump out into a container through security. Okay, rant over in that part. I wish there was consistency across ballparks but hey, when in Seattle I will leave the purse at the hotel! Overall I really enjoyed this ballpark. I've visited 21 MLB ballparks. T-Mobile Park is now one of my favorites. For starters, free refills stations for soft drinks (soda). Every ballpark should implement this. Second, if you are a T-Mobile customer, you don't have to wait in line to get in. Skipping long lines is always a win for me. And the views are spectacular. They also have good deals on food items. And plenty of food options. T-Mobile is a great venue to catch a ballgame. For all MLB fans, this place is a must visit. You'll be glad you did. read more

Wow, what a cool and well maintained park! This park gives such industrial vibes which speaks for Seattle alone. Ken Griffey Jr. is praised here, as he should be. The moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a huge display of a plethora of bats on the ceiling which is pretty cool. The big screen was awesome. The views upstairs in the bar area was beautiful. The bathrooms were really clean. This was the first stadium we've been to where they had a huge variety of food, even Hawaiian cuisine and Odd Pizza! They didn't have just basic park food. ALL the employees were super nice and helpful. Love how the stadium was indoor AND outdoor. Definitely one of the top 5 we've been to out of 9 we have visited so far. (I will say, the fan base was sad. We went on Jackie Robinson Day AND Bobblehead night for KGJ and there were soooo many empty seats. I try to avoid the arenas and amphitheaters as much as I can. In my height of youth I was a frequent visitor to them for concerts and I saw plenty of bands to rack up an impressive list of groups I've seen especially for the festival concerts. And while I am very grateful for those experiences as time went on I prefer the small concert venues for my concerts but the last two years I have been drawn to the arenas and amphitheaters once again as my bucket list for bands I want to see continues to shrink. After living in the Seattle metro area for quite some time now just a few weeks ago was my first visit to T Mobile Park. I figured out parking relatively easily and was directions towards my seat were fairly well executed. I went to see Journey and Def Leppard. Not normally a genre of music where I would normally commit to going to a concert for but I always had a soft spot for Def Leppard and they did well despite age setting in as it is with most of us. The seat I had would definitely qualify as a nose bleed seat but the weather was perfect and I was pointed towards downtown Seattle and had a gorgeous view of the city as dusk set. It seems like the music was what people were moat excited for but the amount of food vendors in the stadium and around it almost felt like I attended a "Taste of" festival as there were just so many and a wide variety of food vendors everywhere. I had a good time at the show, no doubt about that despite fellow audience attendees that were three sheets to the wind which seems to be unavoidable to practically any rock concert one tries to attend. read more

An amazing spot to come watch the Mariners from any angle! The food selection is ever expanding and quite impressive, the beer selection has a some awesome local options and the retractable roof is fun to watch. The place is legit and has great stuff for kids and adults alike! Our seven-year-old is always excited to come hang out as he knows he gets to go to the centerfield kids play area after the seventh inning. Our nine and 11-year-olds are excited because you can see the field from just about any advantage point. My wife and I love it because everyone is entertained and there are great food options! They do a nice job of offering local options as well as more traditional ballpark fare. The Din Tai Fung spot is always busy, and while they don't sell soup dumplings, it's always good. Ivers, fish and chips is a favorite, and the big homer this year was Mojo Pizza! If you go to grab this, you need to expect to wait for at least two innings, unless you go later in the game when they often have the less popular options readily available, but the more popular options continue to require long weight. There are very many things that we will miss two innings for, but the Mojo pizza is one of them! Think old-school little Caesars... That delicious square pizza, only the crust of this is a lot better. It's pricey, but totally worth it. We've made a habit of going on giveaway nights and Mariners games, and have yet to be disappointed, at least with the experience! Get excited to go here if you have a chance. read more

I absolutely love T-Mobile Park! Let's go Mariners! I always enjoy catching a Mariners game here and having a blast! I have always enjoyed the people here and the service here. The employees that take my tickets are always kind and respectful. The service has always been good. The service is also great in the team store, although I will say the team store is very expensive. I really enjoy the food and drink. I alway sit in the Terrace Club section as that is where the seats are wider and you can only have access to that area if you have a club ticket. You can only access food on that level as well if you have a club ticket. I highly recommend the Terrace Club section. They also have really good theme nights as well where they give away cool stuff! The food is great. I love the burgers and pizza and ice cream. My favorite places there are Mr. Softee Ice Cream, Ballard Pizza Co., and The Natural vegan food stand. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the natural. I also enjoy the wine bar on the Terrace Club level and the Moscow mules the bar makes. I highly recommend T-Mobile park to catch a good game and have good food and drinks. read more

T-Mobile Park, formerly Safeco Field, is a fantastic place to take in a ball game! We flew in for a quick trip to Seattle just to enjoy a Mariners game and absolutely had a blast here! (+) Even though the ballpark opened in 1999, it is still beautifully maintained and fairly easy to navigate. (+) FOOD! Food options galore here! The options seemed endless here! Prices are still going to be pricey, of course, but these were less gouge-y compared to other ballparks I've recently visited. I ended up enjoying a wagyu burger at Big League Burger for only $15! Not bad for a ballpark at all! It didn't disappoint either! That burger was delicious! We also enjoyed some chicken fingers and garlic fries that were pretty good as well. I also got to try a beer I've never heard of before, Ranier Beer! It was a pilsner (5%) that was light and tasty! Perfect to enjoy at the ball game! While not as bad as some other ball parks, the prices are still expensive, and you should be prepared for that. (+) VERY easy to get to and from our hotel to the Ball Park via the light rail. It only cost $3 per person each way! Not only that, but from our downtown hotel it took only roughly 10 minutes each way to get there! Very cheap, easy and convenient! I absolutely love the Seattle light rail for getting around when you can! (+) Picked up great seats for only $75 each out the door. Not too bad compared to other Ball Parks I've been to recently. The seats were fantastic to boot! Front row of section 223. We had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the field and an outstanding view of some of the Seattle skyline! (+) Employees were nice and friendly and were very helpful with directions and whatnot. (-) Souvenir shopping was a bit disappointing for me, at least with the outlets I visited. I'd always rather get something from the Ball Park itself, but nothing struck my fancy lol. Luckily, I picked up some great items at an official team store by our hotel that did the trick. (See separate review) (-) We saw a game in the last week of the season between the Mariners and the Astros. Unfortunately, the Astros won 5-1. Boo. I'm really not sure where to start with a stadium. I've been to plenty, maybe a dozen or more MLB and maybe the same for minor league, etc, and other sports in general. I've even been here several times over the years I've been alive. There's obviously lines everywhere, I won't detract for that and I also believe they moved relatively fast. I found the food options and quality to not be worth the price, but not be terrible either. There's enough of a variety, and it's not horribly overpriced. It was very strange and I really didn't know how much I liked it until I realized it wasn't happening. Security is also very relaxed and it feels less secure. Seattle, SoDo. August 2023 For a fan, watching baseball played in an open air facility w a beautiful grass field on a sunny day is a wonderful experience. During the comfortable summer months in Seattle, T-Mobile Park is exactly that kind of place. It kind of makes me wonder why they bothered to have a huge retractable roof hovering in right field. The only thing that could be better would be to incorporate more views of the natural beauty of Seattle and Puget Sound. The ballpark is easily accessible for visitors with an easy downhill walk from downtown, through the Pioneer Square area and a straight path down Occidental past Lumen Field. Therer are a lot of entrances for fans. The Left Field Gate is the most accessible coming from downtown and it almost feels like a main entrance. It features a bronze artwork called The Mitt, by local artist Gerard Tsutakawa. There are also lesser known two entrances between left field and the Home Plate Gate - go into the Mariners Team Store, buy your game gear, and enter the park directly from the store, or use the Third Base Gate to get quickly onto the Main Level. The fan experience is great if you want to spend the time before a game doing things. The standing room in the outfield has narrow counters where you can put your food and drinks while hanging out - great if you like moving around from your assigned seat. The Main Level from third base, home plate, and first base has a wide concourse where fans are tolerated if they stand and watch the game close up - the only thing is you won't have much of a view of the scoreboards. There is a lot of good food. A poke bowl is always welcome if you want a simple full meal in a bowl. There is a Din Tai Fung concession and I like the spicy dumplings - cool to eat out of anther small bowl. Ivar's has numerous concessions and eating a bowl of clam chowder while standing and watching the game from the outfield concourse is a good memory. But ... Way Back Crab Shack has their own Yelp page and good Dungeness crab fries and a better crab sandwich. Holy Smoke BBQ also has a Yelp page and I found their BBQ beef brisket moist and tender, still jiggly, and sufficiently tasty that it didn't need any sauce. As a visiting fan this ballpark is worth a visit during Seattle's beautiful summer. Been here twice and I'll be coming back again. read more

Solid stadium that I'd say is firmly in the top half of current mlb stadiums, but definitely not top 10. History to read up on is one of my go tos at a stadium and their hall of fame is a detailed but approachable way to spend some time before a game or during a blow out I appreciate that it's straightforward getting to/from the game via transit and have utilized it on both my visits, but the volume of trains is not at all sufficient for leaving. If you don't take a New Yorker approach to the subway you could be stuck at the station for a while trying to leave If you're a beer person there is no beating this stadium, the detailed listing on their website of where to find any of the literally hundreds of craft beer available was overwhelming in the very best way Very diverse array of food options where I can see just about anyone being pleased and I'd imagine even a foodie season ticket holder wouldn't get bored of the options over a full season Prices are similar to the stadiums rating, on the higher end but not crazy. Ok, all you Mariners fans, listen up. I'm a Red Sox fan, but my dad and I traveled to Seattle to watch them play at T-Mobile Park on 7/31/23 and 8/1/23. I live in Las Vegas but all my family is from New England. Plus, we'll be getting the Oakland A's in the next few years. My dad just retired, and being the die-hard Red Sox fan he is, he's made it an opportunity to follow them all around the country (and Toronto). I think T-Mobile Park is the third baseball stadium that we watched them play in so far (not counting Fenway) and this was the fifth baseball stadium we've been to. We've been suffering from 110+ degree heat these past few weeks back home and I can't explain how NICE it was to sit outside and watch a baseball game in 70-75 degree weather both nights. We took the train from Pioneer Square to get to T-Mobile Park. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the park from the train station and back. Getting in and finding our seats was super easy and we had a great view of the field! I had their pizza on the first night, which was fresh and delicious! I ended up taking the pizza back with me after the game and had it as leftovers for lunch the next day. On the second night, I shared some fried clams with my dad and got myself an ice cream cone. They had some amazing fried clams here and their ice cream was excellent! The first game was disappointing, where our Red Sox lost 6-2. The second game was even better, where they won 6-4! Leaving the stadium was a little packed, but not too bad. The bathrooms were clean too! I took a bunch of photos but Yelp no longer lets me add more than 10 photos at a time when I write a review. So this review reflects the service I was given at the "Ivar's Seafood" which in my opinion would give a 0 star review based on what happened. I ordered a fish and chip basket that costs $27 and it was not good quality let alone warm when they gave it to me. Aside from that a couple of the young employees were being very rude and unprofessional to the point where they were making a joke out of me in front of my face and laughing about it just because I wanted to order the fish and chips for the first time. They treated me as if I was nothing and even though I shelled out my hard earned money, they didn't even attempt to treat my family and I with respect. To give some MAJOR context to this... well this was my first game I ever attended as a fan. I take professionalism in a business setting very seriously and I leave this here as a reminder for what is expected in a business environment. Visited a couple of times, this one recently for Enchanted, which is a Christmas maze event. Speaking just about the facilities, parking is easy and across the street, but pricey at $40 for the event and of course because it's an event, it can get hard to find a space after awhile. We went in and security made us go back to the car to drop off our oversized purse. Aargh! Why can't we ever remember to bring a small clear bag when going to any sort of stadium? Once inside we had to climb steps up to the vendor floor, then walk down the aisles to the maze part of the event. They have low rise stairs so that it's not too trying to make your way up and down. It's a modern stadium with all the amenities, but the lack of tables so you can eat your food for the event was hateful. And what I mean by hateful is that you can't have that many food vendors without having some tables to sit on. Tables were rare to find and all filled by families locking them down with their coats. There were a few stadium seats where you could sit overlooking the field, but the rest of the seats were roped off, so we had to eat standing which sucked. I will say though that the thai stand that makes the funnel fries does an amazing job because those fries were crazy good. read more

Home of the Seattle Mariners. Attending baseball games at T-Mobile Park is a PNW summertime tradition. People from all over the world come and visit this ballpark. It could be their 1st time or 100th time, either way it's quite an experience. Safeco Field was completed in 1999 then the name changed to T-Mobile Park in 2019. One thing that's unique about this stadium is that it has a retractable roof that keeps fans protected from the elements. Sometimes the walkways feel chaotic before and after the game. Everyone's trying to find their seat, find family, find food, or just plain enjoying the energy of it all. I've been rooting for the M's since my elementary school days, the Kingdome days. I've attended bobble-head nights and Hello Kitty nights. I have a couple of Mariners jerseys and a couple of hats. My favorite hat is the classic nautical compass over the silver "S". It pretty much goes with anything I wear. Depending on your budget you can sit anywhere from 100 level to 300 level, from bleachers to club seats, and private suites. Food options range from Al's Gourmet Sausage outside of the stadium to Moto Pizza, DTF, Ivar's, Kidd Valley and Hit It Here Cafe in the stadium. Lots of shopping opportunities for merch at kiosks and the team store. The Terrace Club level has comfortable seats and you can hang out with friends at The 'Pen before the game starts. Beautiful views of Elliott Bay can be seen from the 300 level. You can also meet Mariner Moose in his den. Check out public art like Gerard Tsutakawa's "The MITT" at the left field gate and pay homage to the statues of Dave Niehaus, Ken Griffey Jr., and Edgar Martínez. I've been on the jumbotron a couple of times with fam and friends dancing, acting goofy and whatnot. The Mariners DJ knows our jams :) I haven't caught a Hotdog from Heaven yet but I'm glad to know some lucky folks have. The local seagulls are funny. They usually show up around the 7th inning getting ready to feast on leftover french fries. They haven't pooped on me yet, knock on wood. We usually take the light rail in. Sometimes we get off at Stadium Station at E-3 busway or get off at Chinatown-International District (C-ID) if we want to grab bubble tea or hang out before or after the game. The bus is an option too. I haven't tried the special event Sounder Train to King Street Station yet but I know they offer rides on the weekend. West Seattleites can get here via Water Taxi on pier 50. The First Hill Streetcar can get you to C-ID or Pioneer Square. Tourists can hop on the Free Waterfront Shuttle to the stadiums. T-Mobile Park is also a venue for concerts. I'm attending one pretty soon. Should be fun...woohoo! Rock on! read more

I do not care what the label says, this is Safeco Field to me, forever and always. Ballparks are no longer named after people and things, they are named for banks and major corporations. That is sad, but it is today's sport world. This ballpark clearly inspired Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. From the rotunda, to the artwork, to the planes flying over the field (I thought Citi was the only one!), to the every seat is a good seat look, the inspiration is there. You are real up close to the action here, and that is very special. Outside the special experience, it lacks a little in food. While decent, it was not wow. The garlic fries here are not as good as the ones I had in San Francisco. Those were amazing. These are just okay. The in-game entertainment is wonky. The difficulty in getting here without a car is even worse. The fans froze me out and I felt it. They were not unfriendly but they were not engaging. Sorry Mariners fans, the Seattle Freeze was felt here. Overall it is a pretty park that is set up like the Phillies and Orioles with the parking lot being shared with their respective football teams. I would have liked to see the Seattle skyline too but it is barely anywhere to be found. Lots of style but little substance to back it up. read more

If you are an avid baseball fan, be sure to check out a ballgame at T-Mobile Park! After watching games at 25+ different stadiums across North America and hundreds of ballgames (and special events like concerts with special access to different parts of the stadium) at this particular stadium dating back to 2001 (23+ years ago) when it first opened as Safeco Field, the stadium experience never disappoints. It was one of the first (if not the first) stadium to have a retractable roof built for the rain with numerous technological upgrades over the decades including the installation of Jumbotron and the walk off market, where it's cashless like Amazon Go. In a city with a lot of innovation and tech companies, you will notice the tech implemented in this stadium as well. For visitors from outta town, you will have an abundance of local food from local establishments to feast throughout the game and the options are refreshed season after season. Garlic fries are always a hit. Don't miss the Pen if you're looking for the beer garden and more local eats. I won't list the eateries in this review since they're ever changing, but I would recommend scanning the food directory inside the stadium for the most updated information. Doors usually open 90 minutes prior to the ceremonial first pitch, sometimes 120 minutes depending on the day/event. If you are a T-Mobile customer, you have a dedicated entrance (next to left field gate) for shorter lines. If you are visiting with kids, come early to explore and take a photo with the Mariner mascot, the Moose! My favorite seating section is view reserved behind home plate towards first base for wonderful views of the Seattle skyline and Jumbotron. They're also reasonably priced. Cheapest tickets are usually out in the bleachers, but you don't get a convenient view of the Jumbotron. And if this is your first time in Seattle watching a baseball game, you must grab a hot dog Seattle style aka with cream cheese! My personal favorite is a hot link loaded with caramelized onions and cream cheese as well as condiments like relish, ketchup and maybe a tad mustard. Artery clogging indeed, but so dang gooooood! We got the restaurant outdoor seats. Three of us were able to see the field with no issues but for me it was hard from the many heads lol. Food was super good for arenas food. Staff are very helpful and nice. There is a lot of workers and security for any help you need. Enjoy it! read more

My husband's dream is to watch a baseball game in every stadium in America. He's been to Angel Stadium without me. However, we've been to Oakland Colliseum in Oakland and will have to go to Las Vegas when the A's move. We have been to Dodgers Stadium in LA before and after the renovation. We have been to Oracle Park in San Francisco when it was still At&t. We have been to Target Field in Minneapolis and now we have been to T-Mobile Park in Seattle. Riding the lite rail to the ballpark was so easy. However, it gets packed on GameDay. The stadium's retractable roof was closed due to rain. We were in the bleachers section. It is smaller than Dodgers Stadium. They need a second scoreboard. It was a bit slow at first, but Julio Rodriguez winning the game winning home run in the bottom of the 8th for the Mariners was exciting. We also wore our Dodgers gear because Turner was the DH. After the game, they retracted the roof and did fireworks and we got to see Lumen Field where the Seahawks play. read more

I love baseball and during July 2021 I had the chance to visit seattle and just pure luck my Texas Rangers were scheduled to play the Seattlee Mariners that same weekend I was visiting! It was so exciting getting to see a new MLB stadium but also see my baseball team play in it! The tickets for a Monday game were super cheap and affordable. The ticket office was easy to navigate and easy to pay. The park was not too far from where I was staying and the bus system took me right at the doorstep to the park. The security was just like the other parks I seen so nothing fancy. Finding our seats was easy peasy and honestly, the staff was average, nothing stood out. Even tho my team did not win I still got to enjoy the atmosphere of something new. I did not visit the gift shop but I did purchase concession stand food and their prices and taste were just what you expect from a baseball park haha. I for sure look forward to getting the chance to visit in the futre. read more

My second Mariners game! It was on Saturday, 4/13/24, for the 6:40 PM game. Decided to leave the house at 1:45 PM and actually arrived in downtown Seattle by 2:30 PM. But once we got near the ballpark, it was SO frickin' difficult to find parking! First, we went to the Mariners parking garage and askes the attendant and he was asking for $60+ for parking! We decided to drive around for a bit. We saw signs for $55, $50, $45, $35 as we went further away from the stadium. After almost an hour, we decided to park right by Krispy Kreme for $35+. It was about a 1/2 mile away from the ballpark, but at least it was reasonable enough for a parking rate since I wasn't gonna pay $60+ for a bloody parking space!!! Not sure if the rates were that high due to the Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Restless Leg Tour happening at the WAMU Theater as part of Lumen Field at 3:00 PM, but don't recall paying even $30 the last time for a Mariners game. Getting into the stadium at 5:20 PM was a breeze. Gates opened at 5:10 PM and there were long lines of people, but No Bag Check In lines went pretty quickly. Once inside, walked around to see which vendors were there, what kind of merchandise sales and food purchases were available. Got to check out the Team Store, which was wicked crowded!!! Prices were steep, as expected, but they had a good variety of inventory in hand. Tons of hats, jackets, jerseys, shirts and accessories. Looked around for about 15 minutes before buying an Adjustable Blue Seattle Mariners cap for $28 + tax. After checking out the Mariners' Team Store, walked around to get some food and refreshments before walking up to our section in 314. Received free tickets, so that was good. Got a free hat for the Salute to the Military Day at the gate as well. Stayed until 4th inning, so about an hour after the game started. By then the Mariners were losing 2-1 to the Chicago Cubs. And we had seen enough, so decided to leave and try to avoid the crowd and traffic rush. Overall, we had a good enough time. Just did not like the fact that we couldn't find reasonably priced parking lots or garages around the area. Event Parking meant you had to pay more than a $25 baseball ticket for one person!!! read more

Each time my husband and I visit a new city, we try and make a point to see a sports game of some sort. Being in Seattle in April meant baseball was in full swing so we jumped at the opportunity to snag tickets to the Mariners game! Here are some things to keep in mind: Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, the stadium is prime territory and boasts one hell of a view. Therefore, parking can be kind of a nightmare, so plan to Uber to avoid annoyances, tickets or a long ass walk. There are many entrances into the park, including through the Mariners Team Store. Little did we know, we made our way into the store before being hollered at to return outside. Once outside, our bags were checked and tickets were scanned - then allowing us back into the store for items we wanted to purchase. It's crowded. As if anyone didn't already know that going to any type of sporting event. Just keep your valuables close, be prepared to wait in lines and pay attention to where your seats are. Buy tickets in the club level. Sure they are a little more expensive, but hot damn are they worth it. Our seats were about 25 rows from the field with a killer view of the skyline/game board. Additionally, club level has their own food and beverage vendors , along with a wall of history (including players, layouts of the stadium, ect...)- which exudes true VIP status. When in Seattle again, I'd easily venture back for another game again! read more

More than just a ballpark! The concessions at T-Mobile Park are impressive with places like Din Tai Fung, Marination, Just Poke, and acaí bowls you'll feel like you're at a food festival. Deciding where to eat is honestly the toughest part, but luckily, you can't go wrong with any choice! This stadium is also always super clean, and bathrooms well maintained throughout the entire event. Lines to get into the stadium move rather quickly at all entry points. Keep in mind bags need to be fanny pack small or completely see thru. Security does a good job of holding those standards as I watched a kids fuzzy fashion backpack get rejected at the door, regardless of the benign contents. Love events at T-Mobile Park and mostly get excited about the food vendors! read more
