Went to this T-Mobile on a mission. Wanted to get out of current carrier services and switch to Magenta! I had spent almost 2 weeks working on getting our two phones unlocked with the current/old carrier. (Yep, I said old because this trip was a success!)
The 2 weeks spent included headaches, customer retention promising me they would take care of it at least 5 times, promises and more promises only to not have them follow through until today, exactly one hour ago.
Thankfully no speeding ticket on the way to T-Mobile and we entered the building and were greeted immediately. We waited not even ten minutes and the store manager on duty was helping us. She was happy, smiling and full of energy. She asked why we were there and we told her we needed to end our relationship with our current carrier, both phone are unlocked and she proceeded to tell us the information. Unlimited talk, text and data for $100 all in. No fees on top of that. There is no contract. There is no 'sign up' fee, there is no activation fee...... say WHAT!?? She asked us if this was a hard break up with our current carrier to which I said 'NO' they have made it very very easy for us to make the choice to leave them. She giggled and said it wasn't right for family to treat you that way.
She had us walk over to the counter, she grabbed 2 SIM cards, she wrote down our phone numbers and our current carrier's account number. Seriously, no more than 10 minutes later we were walking out of the store as T-Mobile carriers. Hallelujah! (and I am not a church goer!) So, someone FINALLY treated us the way we wanted to be treated. With respect, listened, did not gouge us and knife us in the back. Wow, not sure what to think. Did I say Hallelujah!?
$100 a month. Flat fee. That's it. No added fees or hidden fees. So today, the cost for all of this was $40 plus tax. This was for the SIM cards. Heck yes, sign me up!
Oh, the $100 is a flat fee as long as you sign up for paperless billing and out pay. Well, that makes it even simpler for me so HECK YES!
I have done days of research to get to this point. Our old carrier, AT&T, was horrible to work with. I can't even really call it working together as they constantly made promises that they did not back up. Then to SPRINT, it was an ok plan but no-one would tell me exactly how much my bill would be. They said it will be this much plus taxes and fees. We can't tell you exactly how much but we can give you an estimate. Ugh. Then on to Verizon. You know, the ones that promise you lines for $45. No, not exactly. And they also could not give me an exact amount as far as what the bill would be. Us Cellular doesn't even offer unlimited plans.
As we waited for our phones to be ready I was holding my breath the entire time as I just knew something would go wonky with my phone not being unlocked. Thankfully, I was wrong. My old carrier did what they promised and I was able to switch.
HALLELUJAH!!! Well done T-Mobile. I may look for a pair of magenta shoes to wear. read more
