I suspect that this is store is just a franchise store and not the real TMobile corporate store:…read moreOne of my customers have a LTE modem that got damaged by lightning, and is located out near Big Cypress Florida. The modem was running on a TMobile LTE Data Plan. My customer's corporate office (which has many TMobile LTE Modems implemented throughout South Florida) shipped a replacement modem to me, but not a new SIM card to go with it. I went to this this store, as I have done in the past, to purchase a SIM card. The clerk did not understand what a LTE Modem is. I explained to him what it is . The clerk refused to sell me an $6 SIM card that is not activated, and insisted that he could only sell me an activated SIM card "for your phone". After explaining the situation and clarifying that that this was not for a phone - and that I have done this before at this same store, the clerk STILL REFUSED TO SELL ME AN UNACTIVATED SIM CARD. Because my name was not listed on the customer's corporate contract, he refused to sell the card. However, I was only asking for an UNACTIVATED SIM CARD. I went back home and explained what just happened to my customer. They ordered an unactivated SIM card off of Amazon Prime and had it shipped to my home address. I received the unactivated SIM card the next day, called up my customers corporate office - they had the account moved over to the new SIM card and I was able to install the new LTE modem and restore service to their site. Myself and my customer are outraged about such behavior from a TMobile representative. They are now considering moving all their LTE Modems to AT&T. Also worth noting here is that I have done this before with another customer that uses AT&T, and the AT&T stores will just hand you a SIM card, no questions asked, and not even charge...! My advice to you - if you are in the same situation: Don't bother with these franchise stores. They are only staffed with rude untrained staff that are there to sell you a cellphone with a plan...
