He also admitted that he just barely reordered some water-based texture spray that they were out of. I appreciate this kind of frank insight. Their prices seemed to be competitive with other nearby DIY stores. While I walked away no painting accessories like I wanted, I definitely would go here for the next project! Staples has always been the go-to place for office supplies in Hobbs…read more The service has been better than I remember. That being said, I've noticed a lack of professionalism during a few visits... namely, inappropriate topic discussions at the front register and the newest stocking guy frequently cussing while talking to another employee. It's one thing to speak freely with your supervisor behind closed doors, but another to be so careless and vile within a customer's earshot. I've picked up blue prints and a few other print jobs for my boss here. No major issues other than having to wait an extra 10 minutes because they didn't notice his second request in their sytem. They were apologetic. The store is large and organized well. Large, spacious parking lot to match your shopping experience. On another (albeit rather silly) note, I'm glad they named it "Staples" and not something arbitrary like "Rulers" or "Erasers" or "Letter Openers." While rulers, erasers, and letter openers certainly are handy tools in the office, actual staples help keep important stuff together. So do "Paper Clips," but would have been way too long to say and shortening it to "Clips" could cause even more confusion. Keep your office and/or school life together. Go to Staples.

As of October 2024, it was mostly organized, but not so clean. It never has been. What happened to all of the cool Halloween items they used to have? I was here in August and September too and never saw much of anything. My youngest daughter was counting on using a few miniature items for her "cemetarium" (a cross between a cemetery inside a terrarium). She sculpted most of her items out of clay, but i was hoping to find other creepy creatures to satisfy her delight. Free, ample parking in a shared lot with Harbor Freight, Big 5 and Hobby Lobby in the same plaza.

The Yelp gods did not accept that. In Hobbs, New Mexico, there are a few different smoke shops referred to as Tobacco and Vape. The mural that I am about to discuss is on the outer wall at Tobacco and Vape #3, so I put that in the title when I added this Yelp page. You will see this large outdoor painting straight across from Albertsons Market. Even driving by you'll see it. It was created by local (Lovington) artist Doc Rios and features "two iconic hip-hop figures wearing sunglasses and smoking, highlighted with green accents." Who are the iconic figures you ask? I'll add photos when I get up early tomorrow since too many cars were in my shot, but they are... da da da da da ("The Next Episode") Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. aka Snoop Dogg. And a man who was killed for no good reason, Christopher George Latore Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G... Biggie Smalls. So Snoop represents West Coast rap. Biggie definitely rep'd the East Coast. On the mural, I cannot overlook the placement of these figures, both smoking with calm facial expressions. Snoop is on the left (West Coast) while Biggie is on the right (East Coast). Biggie had an album called "Life After Death." When I first saw this mural I said that look left to right because Snoop was and still is alive yet Biggie was dead. Am I trying to make Hobbs cool? Uh huh. This artwork is pretty cool if I say so myself. All these little Gen Z and Generation Alpha kids try to tell me their music is "tuff." You weren't even alive in 1992! Boot Barn in Hobbs, New Mexico, recently had their grand opening a couple of days ago…read more The western store is located in the Hobbs Junction Plaza in between Marshalls and PetSmart. I was a bit perturbed at not being welcomed when I came in today (October 17, 2025) and another I walked by who made eye contact with me said nothing, but shortly thereafter, three other employees came up to me, smiling asking if I needed assistance. I like most of their clothes, but I simply didn't see anything I was dying to have. At one point, I grabbed a boot jack which I desperately need, especially as I get older. Lol. A young staff member walked up to me and said, "Just to let you know, that's actually $29.99 not $19.99." She was re-labeling them as we spoke. That's precisely why I knocked off a star.

They are a nationwide parts distributor for electricians and similar trades. (This review parallels my review of Elliot Electric Supply.) The Hobbs, NM, location tends to have everything my company needs in stock such as electrician scissors, conduit bodies, galvanized rigid couplings, conduit, and all the boring electrician job materials. Lol. It's also well-organized. I work closely with the accounts receivable department and have never had any issues at all with them. They are all friendly & respectful.
