Another great experience @ WinCo in Roseburg, OR.!…read more I decided to pick up a bottle of honey today @ WinCo and also write an updated review of my experience, now that this store has been open for a couple months. I wasn't sure how bad it would be after reading others' reviews, but once again, my personal experience was pleasant and I left happy. I headed toward the entrance, hoping they would have a smaller size cart or hand held basket, but unfortunately I could not locate anything besides their huge carts. Once I entered, I asked an employee if they had any other options. Katy, as her name tag read, was very friendly, but said that unfortunately they do not. I told her I was just in the market for honey, so she cheerfully pulled out a map, located the honey, and handed it to me. The hunt was on. On my way, with my trusty treasure map, I walked past the promotional wall, and was greeted into the produce section. The avocados looked like a good find and ready to eat. The space was clean and spread out. I took my time meandering through the store and was impressed with WinCo's bulk food section. What a great idea to use multiple aisles for bulk food! It cuts down on waste and provides its patrons with fresh and customized amounts of healthy food, plus some sweet treats. I finally found myself in front of their honey section and was happy with my choice, even though they promoted their generic store brand in a primo spot and the local west coast small business section was located on the bottom shelf in small batches. My cashier, Tracci, was upbeat and friendly. I told her how great and helpful Katy was in my search for honey, but how disappointed I was with WinCo for not providing baskets for small purchases. She agreed that Katy was great and she said she even noted Katy's great work ethic on the employee board. Tracci's statement made me like WinCo even more because positive employee outreach and company unity is a Win Win. I'm still disappointed in the lack of hand held baskets, but I could have easily brought in one of my own reusable bags to carry my purchase in and out of the store, just the same. As you can see on my receipt, their prices seem fair, at least to me... but I wasn't in the market for a full fledged grocery run either. The store itself was spacious and clean with well stocked shelves. The other patrons present seemed comfortable and at ease, taking their time.

She was very rude to us when the self-checkout became temperamental, to the point where she insulted our collective intelligence at operating the thing. Having been on the road in our RV for the last couple of weeks, some of our supplies were getting low. I wouldn't swear to it, but I think Fred Meyer stores are only found in Oregon. We've been to a few of them over the years in places like Roseburg and a few other cities in the state. They're pretty massive stores and they don't only sell groceries. If you've never been to a Fred Meyer, you'll be surprised at what you see when you get there. They have a nice deli and produce section. In addition to groceries, they sell things like clothing, furniture, beauty supplies, jewelry, toys, electronics, sports equipment, camping gear, automotive items, hardware, tools, housewares, and more. The store that I visited in Roseberg was very clean, fully stocked, and well organized. I found everything pretty well except for an eyeglass repair kit. I asked several people that worked at the store if they had them and, if so, where I could find them. I got lots of answers like: "I work in groceries section," "I don't know," "Try clothing and apparel,""I'm only in charge of putting up signs," and, "This is the employee area, so they're not here." I finally found an employee in the tool area that told me all the checkout counters have them. Bingo! Sure enough, that's where they were! Overall, I like this store. It had everything I needed and more!

Asked Electronics team if we could open it to make certain this one was not shattered, too. Was told that store policy prohibits opening the box to make certain tv not busted. We got second TV home and it, too, was shattered. Took it back and customer service stated there is NO store policy about not opening boxes. Took our business to Costco, who opened the box and allayed our concerns. Our new Samsung is plugged in, connected, and looks great. Shame on you, Walmart!

I've been here a few times and have bought enough to feel comfortable with the quality of the food. The meat department staff has been very helpful in finding what we needed. Albertson's merged with Safeway although it still has different products. They also don't have sushi and the deli hot items that Safeway does. I will definitely return for the items this store has but it may not be the only store I shop.

Normal grocery store that has the bakery area with freshly baked products, as well as a small floral area. Fresh fruits and veggies (just like any other store - are in this area as well). The meat selection is usually decent as well ... as with any store they can be kind of hit or miss ... but in their case, the quality is usually pretty good. The rest of the store normal, boxed and canned goods intermingled on the aisles with international foods, veggies and fruits, and baking goods. Cold section has the normal frozen foods (dinners, lunches, snacks, etc). Staff are always pleasant, again, nothing outstanding setting them out, but nothing bad either. The experience shopping here, in my opinion has been consistent over the years.

Great Customer Service!…read more Some months ago I had to update my Safeway app. Today when my groceries were more than expected, I discovered my correct email & current app are not linked to my phone number. The cashier sent me to customer service for help with the discounts. Jared in Customer service at the Roseburg OR Safeway refunded the amount I should have had discounted, almost $20. Then he tried to get my app sorted out & called their customer service on my behalf. I will not to until tomorrow, if my app is correct now Bug Shout out to Jared!

They used to carry produce items in the past 8 months that they don't anymore, too. It's hard to count on finding what you need for your meal prep. The store is clean, bright and I like the brands they carry for milk and eggs. The meat department has great service and can have excellent deals and quality but not on all items. The Just For You deals can be excellent, too. I will go back but I do go to more than one place now.

This GO is in a good location and is a large building. Grocery Outlet is definitely a place to try if you've never been to one. They take inventory from stores or businesses that are overstocked or have items that aren't moving. The prices are generally much better than a regular grocery store but HINT-watch use by and sell by dates. They can be sooner than regular stores. #ThankYouThursday

Are there flying demons that roam the isles, searching for small children to snatch up and fly away to eat in the seafood department? No, I can promise you...there are not.
