Deborah and I tried TJ's Place for the first time. Service was outstanding! I had the BBQ Pork plate with Cole slaw, baked beans, and okra. Debbie had the grilled HB steak with peppers and onions and okra and corn on the cob. Everything was excellent except the baked beans, I just didn't care for the flavor. We'll come back. read more

Best burgers and fish in town. Service is kind of slow but the product is great. If you order fries, l bet you can't eat them all.

The service was down Home good spectacular. The whole order for the catfish dinner was enough to feed three people. The lemonade was from freshly squeezed real lemons. And all this from a nonsuspecting little hole in the wall joint on side of the road in a small town. All I can say is that it was wonderful and TJ's keep it up you are a gem. read more

Awesome lunch! We both ordered the two filet fried catfish plate. I had baked beans and potato salad with mine. It also came with hush puppies with butter, onion, lemon, pickled tomatoes (yum), and tarter sauce. The hubby had corn on the cob and fries with his. Generous servings enough to take half home for dinner. We were happy with the price also. Will definitely recommend and we will also make this a reoccurring stop. We visited here on a Saturday...Had the cheeseburger combo with tots. Did have to wait a bit.. burger was juicy, however, a bit overdone on the outside. Then place was Fairly clean tho the table didn't seem to be wiped down... Here you throw away your own trash and it was overflowing... The decorations were old classic Coke memorabilia. Environment is casual.. It seems in observation that they are under staffed, because there was one girl taking orders, bussing tables, and not able to answer the constant ringing phone... It depends on who is working what quality service you receive and whether your order is right. The last 4 times I have been there, my order has been wrong. One of those times, the guy who said he was the manager on duty yelled at me over the phone and flat told me I was lying about what I ordered. I didn't go back for months after that. If they get your order right, the food is really good. Burgers and fish are awesome. I'd rate higher if they were consistent with accuracy and service quality. read more

TJ's is great.....I think Wood's is a little better.You should definitely call in your order because you will wait a long time.I usually get the half order of catfish with the corn, green beans, baked beans, or mashed potatoes. The hushpuppies are really tasty too. The meal is about 8 bucks which is reasonable for catfish. They also have homemade lemonade...but it didn't taste too great when I ordered it. The people are very friendly. There's one lady that is always smiling and she always says you came back to see us again. She's really sweet and I like how she treats her customers. I had the catfish and it was great!!! Nice and hot, and it didn't take more than 15 minutes. The service was great too. I would recommend the catfish to everyone. The shrimp was ok. The price was good. The place was nice and clean, including the restroom. However, I didn't like the location of the restrooms, but I guess you have to work with the space you have.
